Interesting topic this. Does anyone here remember the 80s cartoon " Jayce and The Wheeled Warriors"? Quite a good cartoon but not as good as the TMNT cartoon. 2 cracking theme songs though.

Anyway, the main villain "Sawboss", a guy with a big-brained head lives in a domain which is eerily similar to Krang's Technodrome. It's grey, big and circular with some other details (don't know the name for it). The one difference is Sawboss's domain can magically transport to different locations.

But it makes you wonder as "Jayce and The Wheeled Warriors" came out in 1985, while the TMNT cartoon in 1987. Could it be that Sawboss's domain influenced the creation of the Technodrome, therefore it's a copied idea??????

almost every villain in the 80s had a circular doom fortress. (see Death Star)

Yes, the Krang's Technodrome is like the Death Star but that's in space, Sawboss rested on the ground, just like Krang's. There are quite a lot of Star Wars similarities with the original TMNT cartoon.

It's just that Sawboss's is a much more clearer example of a Technodrome look-a-like than the Death Star.

Look for Reznorite's Star Wars/TMNT comparison thread.

This makes sense about as much as Jarrah's lame James Bond/TMNT references...

The Technodrome could MOVE, Saw-Boss's lair COULD'NT, it had to teleport.

The Technodrome has a GIANT F'ING EYEBALL, Saw-Boss' lair does'nt.

And whoever said Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors was "not as good as the original Ninja Turtles cartoon" is DEAD WRONG, it was almost BETTER than the original cartoon.
