Well as of now I'm making the nomination form, so this week start
surfing the net for tmnt pics you wanna nominate. (and remember to
record the urls!) Remember, you can't nominate art that won last year
so here's the list of last years winners if you're not sure.

~Oh coolness! First, Amanda, I'm sorry about the delay in finishing up the Fanfic Awards, but I think most TMNT fans are capable of a *bit* of multi- tasking, so even if the Fic Run-offs run into the Art nominations, i don't think anyone's gonna crumble under the pressure.....
And it has just occured to me that at the time of last year's Art Awards, my website was down...heh..... I might even get to play this year!

Ho-kay!
I've finished and tested the final nomination form and it works (yay!) I wanted the nominations to open on Halloween but if this collides with the fic awards (boy we gotta get a 6 month break from the two) I can take it back a week.
Um, after a little bird mentioned to me, I've added a new category this year for "Best repainting of a TMNT figure" which basically means for all those people who've customised tmnt figs and weapons to come forward and be recognised. (some of them are hella cool!) So if you're one of these people, get your pictures up online STAT and tell me.
Brina has helpully compiled a list of links (which have gotten *most* of them since a few people don't advertise much) in case you don't know where to start. These aren't suggesting who to vote for, it's just helping you find stuff easier.

Can RPG art be involved, as long as its of the main characters (turtles, Splinter)?

Kali is right, although there isn't a specific rpg art category (which will be introduced next year) if the pic fits into another category (like original character) you can nominate it :)

Yes, I will allow that.
With the pumpkin thing, I think that can be put into the painting category. I was kinda hoping that Halloween will be the date for the Art awards from now on (makes it easier for ppl to remember ;) ) And maybe next year I can have a specialised category for Halloween which will include all sorts of mediums as long as it's Halloween themed :) Just make sure if you're doing the pumpkin today, get those photos up online and pronto so they can be nominated!

Well I've finally finished it, the voting form for the 3rd TMNT Fan Art Awards is open...

I was also giggling at some of the catagories my drawings landed themselves in. :P But woooow! Looks like it'll be pretty tough trying to decide who to vote for. Lots of good picks... why do I hafta choose two from each?
Oh, and for those who just missed this years nomination round, we'll do this again next year. Never fear! The prizes are nothing big though. You just get a digital plague and the bragging rights of having damn good art.
Though, we might host some random art contests before the next FanArt Awards too, that may or may not have a material prize. Last fall we had a mutant hybrid contest that turned out some pretty cool results.
Lastly, for those who aren't aware, the offical Mirage website also holds monthly art contests too. You usually get something cool like a signed comic if your drawing is among those posted on their site. (but do be informed of this: Artwork becomes the sole property of Mirage Studios. )

Honestly, I was shocked by how much, and exactly what was nominated from my galleries. Actually, a couple of pictures were choosen that I had been considering taking down.

Yeah I like the idea of smaller contests inbetween the big ones. Like the fic challenge and last years Art contest. Tho for the art contest, I'd really like to see a difference theme each year for the artists to draw to. Unless the good fae herself has organised that already?

Ehrm, back to topic (for the moment). Just tried colouring a Ninjara pic (Usually always draw in B & W) Ohh, it turned out much better than I thought. Need some better colour for the fur though, I've only got tan and some screaming red :P

No, I'm not going to post that Ninjara picture. Its the first one I coloured :D
I just whacked around with the colours, didnt care about proportions (It looks kinda strange).
But... I could post a B&W drawing, have one special which I realy like ;)
That is, when I learn to post them. This thing with making pages isnt within my capacity, it seems. Though, later on, could someone help me with that? (Creating a web-site)

Yay.. congrats to everyone who won! I knew Sango would get a chunk of awards, as well asn Tom K and Match. But the other results were cool too.
I'm surprised I won both places for the avatar dolls and the custom figures! I thought for sure SC's repaints of Splinter would place too. All the same, thanks everyone! :D
