I think ebay is a great way to expand your collection if you know what you're looking for. I won an 11" Krang body that I have been wanting for years.

I'm planning to get a few lots of figures to let my nieces and nephews play with.

eBay is my gateway to getting my collection rebuilt. I bought a boxed road ready splinter, a plush mikie, and a hard rubber van so far. Still lots to be bought.

I've used eBay a few times for comics. I'm working on getting all of the Image ones right now, and I just can't get them all locally.

ebay is one of my only hookups for the old cartoon tapes, all rental places around here have none for me.

Have you tried half.com? They're owned by eBay...but its a different set-up. I've gotten some good deals there before.

I've been told half.com requires a credit card which I have a shortage of.

Yes it does. That would be a problem.

Is Half.com generally better than ebay? I'm still weary about ebay, ever since the "incident."

Well, I suppose half.com could be considered "safer". You can always return the item if you're not happy. I've bought books, cds, and videos, through half.com and had only one real problem.

The problem I had was that I ordered Mirage's Book 1 (The one that contains the first 3 comics in color.) What I received was a special edition reprint of comic #1 only. I returned it (it took awhile) and was supposed to get the right one in return. Instead I got a book compiling some of the Archie Digest comics. I decided to keep it, but I still don't have Mirage's book 1. I did get 2 through 4 though. And for less than I would have paid on eBay.

Hmm...thanks for the advice, Skeleton Crew! I'll look into this website. Maybe I'll find some goodies that I've been looking for (like some old TMNT action figures!) Woohoo!

i heard half.com is changing rules and regs, have they switched ro a non credit card policy or not?

Ya, I heard Half.com was changing some of its policies. I think they're just going to implement ebay's rating system for Half.com, but I'm not sure what else they're changing. I think that you still can pay with credit card if you wish.

I just got an e-mail about it. It didn't mention any changes in payment forms. Mainly it was about how I can have a single ID for both sites, and combine my feedback if I like.
