Wow, Super Mario Galaxy looks beautiful. If that's what the Wii is capable of, why do all other Wii games have to look like cattle feces?
Isn't it truly mind-blowing? You've got everything on the console now looking sub-first-gen Xbox, and then you have Mario Galaxy. It's really telling of how lazy developers have been thus far.

And Mario Galaxy is sort of a first gen title, meaning that the Wii should be a able to pull off even better graphics. All those lazy developers should get kicked in the balls.

Okay, Phantom Hourglass is now offically teh hawt sh*t. That's a big turnaround from last year's clunky mess. Beautiful stuff.
Also, did anyone catch Tetsuya Mizuguchi's hints about possibly a new Rez, and above all else...a new Space Channel 5? Pleeeease, if there is a God in heaven. Ulala + Wiimote = win.

AMN got video tonight of Koji Kondo's performance at the Video Games Live concert tonight and him being presented a lifetime achievement award for all that he has done. Cameras were banned, but somehow Ray pulled it off anyway. We'll have it up later, along with an exclusive interview with the musical god.

Why the sudden change of heart?
Nintendo put out all their dates for what is essentially the next 6 months, and there is a grand total of one game I'll be playing. Super Paper Mario. And I'm sure as hell not playing any of third-party trash that's going to be shoved out there.
And, TMB, come on dude. You're the very definition of someone who flips back and forth like a fish. I've never been impressed with the Wii, it's just becoming more and more apparent that Nintendo has no intentions of doing anything different than they did on the Gamecube, aside from releasing bad non-games like Brain Age and Wii-Play every few months.
Xbox 360 FTW. The reason I'm buying a PS3, though? I need something to be my back-up console while the Wii sits and rots like the cheap gimmick it is.
ThirdMarioBro
03-10-2007, 04:24 PM
Those are some good points. My Wii is rotting on the shelf too. I don't know what I would do without my 360. I just don't see how you can consider buying a PS3 as a backup console, when it has even less titles scheduled in that same time-frame.

It all has to do with their are a couple PS3 games I can go back and check out for awhile, if need be. I can also play PS2 games on it if I want. With the Wii...I just never have any desire to play it. I think of it in the same way as I think of a decent peripheral game, (Donkey Konga, DDR, etc.) once the novelty wears off, you just have so little desire to go back and play it. It was fun while it lasted, but not good enough to keep you coming back. You'll jump into it every so often, but you can't play it like a normal game.

It's a very good game, it's just super lacking on content. Luckily, the developers have said they're planning on releasing more and more content via DLC. I'll be picking up Resistance and Motorstorm on the day I buy my PS3.
It reminds me a lot of a much prettier, better controlling version of ExciteTruck, which is one of few Wii games I enjoy.

Doesn't matter, they don't plan on making it widely available until then. They came out with the system around the same time as the PS3. We get 30-40 set PS3 shipments now and we get like 12 Wii's once every maybe 2 weeks if we're lucky.
The Wii's go out in 10 minutes because we get so few. We barely get any nunchucks or remotes as well. So it won't matter anyways because by the time everyone has one and they can start massively selling games the ones that are out now will be due for a price drop, wait what am I saying Nintendo kept Smash Brothers at 50 bucks forever and then dropped it to 30 when everything else was 20.
Either way their smart in making Wii hard to get so more people eat the system up but it has crap to offer. And their not even sending us Gamecubes so it's not like their selling anything but Wii's. Atleast Sony still sends PS2's and we get enough 360s to where we always have atleast 30 on hand, and trust me those sell well, even better then the PS3's which we get like I said and those aren't going anywhere.
We can barely get the Wii in at all. Since launch we've had 4, one in January, two in February and one now which is a pre-ordered one anyway. Anyone who asks me if they should buy one I tell them not yet, to wait for something worthwhile to actually come out for it. I just tell them to buy a 360 for now instead.
Well, I don't regret buying the Wii. Sure Nintendo is making mistakes, but I'm confident I'll get from them what I expect, AAA first party titles, the first being Zelda. And that's it. That's why I am in DIRE need of a 360.

03-13-2007, 07:19 PM
As much as I love Nintendo I gota say they never had much that I couldn't get else where. Not at all being a big fan of Mario, Zelda, Metroid, or Donkey Kong it didn't have much to offer me. In fact I only got the GC for Smash Bros, a few 4 player games that were easier to play on it and the RE series.
All the first party games I had weren't all that fun to me. I had Sunshine, Windwaker, and Prime. Meh is all I can say about them. Though most fans say those games sucked anyways, how many 3-D Mario games can they make before it gets old. You runa round and jump on crap, you can try and dress it up anyway you like the core material is going to stay the same. I guess not being a big fan I found less to enjoy in it.
People who aren't fans of RE could say "All you do is shoot zombies" well atleast RE has puzzles going for it, all Mario had was a talking super soaker.
I don't mean to diss on Nintendo, they were the bomb in the SNES days but ever since N64 it seems like they've been declining. Really as cool as the remote is it's just a gimmick and gimmick games are hardly ever good. Wario Ware wasn't good from what I heard, I also heard Trauma Center wasn't much better either, and I heard Red Steel is horrid. but I hear this stuff from customers and co-workers so I'm sure you guys would disagree. I also have never tried it myself, but since video games have slowly been losing my interest in the past year, so I guess my opinion hardly matters.
Peanut
03-13-2007, 07:32 PM
What the hell kind of puzzles do you solve in RE? Throwing items together to make a ridiculous key, or pushing a button really fast? Right.
Either way, you're right that Nintendo has been on the decline for awhile, but you can hardly say that anymore. While they may be continuing to free-fall in the console space to actual gamers, they're more popular than ever in the market as a whole.
And you know, you gotta stop basing every single f*cking one of your arguments about video games on the sh*t you learn at Best Buy. No one there knows f*ck all about games, that's why you usually come in here with some ass-backwards sh*t to spew.
But of course, as you said, your opinion really doesn't matter. The Wii and Nintendo are popular right now, you'd better not look like you're too interested in that bandwagon, for fear of ruining your reputation, right?
Spitfire
03-13-2007, 07:38 PM
I'm not at all, and I never said Nintendo wasn't popular*In fact I think I proved it was with what I posted earlier about how fast Wii sells* I just said it doesn't interest me, and some people I talk to told me the gimmick games weren't good. I'm talking to the general public here. The average person isn't a gamer who has hardcore convictions to what they play. And not everyone who works at Best Buy is an idiot, if they were it wouldn't be the #1 consumer electronics chain in the world.
And yeah in RE some of the puzzles are tossing items together but there's also math puzzles and ones you can't just memorize because they change everytime. A good example of that is the water sample puzzle in RE 3. Like I said in so many works it's easy to stereotype any game, you stereotype in the fashion of if you don't like it it's crap. Your ego is so huge I'm surprised this message board has enough space to hold it all.

All I can say is ROALZ. Firstly, don't think I'm defending Nintendo here or anything. Read a few posts back and you can see how worthless I think the Wii is.
Secondly, how many times do I have to say I always have my reasons for disliking something, but I respect what the game does, before guys like you stop saying it's my "ego" getting in the way. And I'm stereotyping by saying the games I don't like are crap? RIGHT! Made perfect sense.
This is why you work at Best Buy.
There has never been a math puzzle in Resident Evil. Period. The water sample puzzle? You had to do a little bit of educated guessing, but even so, it's the same puzzle every time you play through the game.
And everyone has an opinion to what they like and what they don't. What seems to be a recurring trait of yours, however, is you don't like what's popular. If it's mainstream, it's not good, because it's overrated or whatever. Hey, you do what you want. Just don't claim to know something about the industry when you don't even delve into all of it.

I didn't think you were, your one of the people who I heard Wario Ware was bad from.
Secondly, how many times do I have to say I always have my reasons for disliking something, but I respect what the game does, before guys like you stop saying it's my "ego" getting in the way.
True but you don't always and often times mock my taste in things, I've seen you say I have a terrible taste in games and movies many times and I doubt you even know what I own, or anything about me other then how I act on this message board. I don't know about you but how I act online hardly reflects how I am in real life. If I was this stupid in real life I'd probably be a danger to myself and others. I get to fanboy-y online and I tend to let myself slip because it's the internet, no hurt feelings, no faces I have to see. I can spew what ever crap out I want and it doesn't do any harm. If I had a bad day I can vent or be a jerk and it doesn't matter because people don't get hurt feelings over the internet.
And I'm stereotyping by saying the games I don't like are crap? RIGHT! Made perfect sense.
No but saying something you don't like is crap simply because you don't like it really isn't fair.
But your someone everyone must take with a grain or two of salt, so I guess that would be why.
This is why you work at Best Buy.
I work at Best Buy because I need money. I don't even work games, or computers, or TVs. I work in the back. I receive crap, lift heavy junk, put stuff into people's cars. A monkey could do my job, but sadly many people view themselves as too "delicate" to do my kind of work so there's me. I just take pride in knowing that I can not only do my job of stocking and such, but I can also do all of their jobs.
Just don't claim to know something about the industry when you don't even delve into all of it.
Now see that makes sense, your right I don't know much, though I used to delve very deep into it. I was a gamer by heart. I played games every waking hour I wasn't forced into school. But those days are over and I guess so is my knowledge of how gaming is now of days.
And I don't hate everything popular either. I bought Casino Royale today and own Gears Of War. I'm just a very very picky person and alot of the time popular stuff doesn't appeal to me because I don't like sameness. While from what it seems the majority of the people who consume love it.
They can watch 4 SAW movies and want another one, even if it's the same. Or they can crave remakes, they've seen the movie but the make over it gets makes it interesting to them. I just don't enjoy that kind of stuff.
I chat games in small portions so if what I say terribly annoys you as much as it seems to then I'm sorry but the best advice I can offer is ignore me. I'm not here to fight anyone or put words in anyones mouth. I'm just here to chat like everyone else.

Those were shown ages ago, and they suuuck. There are WAY too many Pokemon already, and it's bad enough that the game's focus on quantity is far greater than quality, but at least get some good designers. Those really do look awful. They just don't even seem like Pokemon. When the second set was released for Gold/Silver, there were a bunch in there that already seemed like crap, but there were a bunch that were really neat too, and they fit the Pokemon mold.
I can't comment on the Pokemon in any games past that, because I haven't played them at all. However, I have seen some of them, and they just look so so terrible. On top of that, their names just keep getting worse and worse.
And honestly, after playing Digimon World DS, it became painfully clear where all the bad ass monster designers ended up. Just look at the Omnimon in my avatar. No Pokemon looks that cool.

Look at the number. They're all different forms of the same Pokemon. I think it changes type depending on what item it has equipped or something, and apparently the webmaster thought it was neccesary to give each form a seperate entry.
*nods* I see that with the numbers. That kind of lead me to be thinking that there were different colored ones roaming in the grass...
I guess what I should be asking is why the hell are there 17 different versions of the same Pokemon in one game? I guess I'm still a bit peeved off expecting a cool legendary Pokemon at the end of the new listing, like always, but all I got were 17 versions of the same thing. As long as they play a significant part in the story, I will keep my mouth shut, but goddamnit I just have to chuck a hissy fit over this. Hopefully it is like you said, and it changes type occording to what item is equipped... *sighs*

No no, they're not seperate Pokemon, they're different forms of the same one. The type-changing thing was confirmed - that's not speculation. You can only have one at the same time.

Agreed. I didn't mind the G/S ones, but everything after that just sort of collapsed on itself. In my Emerald copy, I haven't bothered getting the "Legendary" Pokemon. No, I didn't mean the Pokemon themselves were stupid, but that having the 3 birds, plus Mewtwo and Mew in a single game as "legendary" was ridiculous. Then when G/S rolled around, they not only had legendary birds, but also all the stupid legendary dogs, and wasn't Celebi in that one too? I can't really remember. There were more "Legendary" Pokemon than there were Pokemon of a certain type in G/S, I think. Metal or whatever one of the newer types was, which just completely makes the term "Legendary" seem like a joke.

Yeah. I'd link to the article, but it's in Dutch. Basically it says it's against their policy to use the Nintendo Community forums to share your Wi-Fi Connection ID, Wii-numbers and Friends Codes. Whatever, Nintendo. Not that it matters because the Nintendo forums suck balls anyway.

Today I had to pick up a parcel (full of TMNT comic goodness!!!) from my post office (which is a good half hour walk away, and considering I dont have wheels, I haveta walk!!) So I got up, bright and breezy (at 10.30am hehe) and toddled on my way to the PO. On the way there is a Toys R Us. So I nipped in to see what they had in TMNT figs and whatnot. To get to the TMNT section, you have to walk through the games section. That's where I saw it. One ticket left. One ticket for a Nintendo Wii. Normally there's a sign saying "Sorry, sold out." So I picked it up, (and behind it was the "sorry, sold out" sign) and headed for the register. (But not before picking up a buncha games and a memory card and whatnot!)
Now, me and trying to get a Wii has been a problem. At first I was a day late in getting my pre-order in. D'oh! Then I got offered a Wii from a friend's friend but it was at xmas time and I couldn't afford it at all. I even queued up for one at 4am at the very same TRU store as mentioned above, and still missed one, by only a few people. So I had my doubts. This was too good to be true, after going into each games store weekly and asking if they had any, always getting turned down (they've stopped taking pre-orders and its all first come first serve nowadays!) So I was three-quarters expecting them to tell me that they were sorry, that it was sold out, that I just missed it by 5 minutes.
I should never have doubted. I gave the girl at the counter my ticket and asked if they still had it in, and she said yep, last one. Holy crap my heart was beating!! So I paid for it and went to the pick-up point. I stood there for about ten minutes, scenarios going through my mind where the guy apologises to me, saying that there's been a mistake and they don't have one left, and me going all postal on his ass. But no. I got it! Yay! About frickin' time!!! I then left the shop in a state of delirium, and headed to the post office, got me parcel, and back home. That's when I realised I forgot to check for TMNT figs! D'oh!
I spent a fair few bucks, about £420 or so, but its worth it! I had to start work at 3.00pm, and I very nearly called in sick, but Karen (who's about excited as I am!) pointed out to me that I can't, I now have to pay off the Wii... grr... So here's me, at work, while she's at home playing bloody WarioWare! But I did call in, saying that i'll be a bit late, so to give me some more playing time!!
So what'd I get? Here goes: Wii + Wii Sports, Wii Play + free wiimote, TMNT, WarioWare, Red Steel and Twighlight Princess. A memory card, a GC controller and a classic controller. My broadband isn't wireless but I just ordered a USB device type thingy off th net that'll let me get online, so hopefully some time next week it'll arrive!
Me and Karen had a fun hour or so though, playing tennis and baseball and WarioWare, I just can't wait to get home!!! I'm half expecting to come home to to find her slumped in front of the telly, OD'ed on Wii!!!!!

Double post, but for good reason.
Apparently, Katamari (http://gonintendo.com/?p=15117) is coming to Wii. This would be all good and dandy because I had that game when I had my PS2 and liked, not loved, it a lot. So if a new comes to Wii, cool. But something deep in my gut is telling me it's a "Wii-make" of the original for PS2. :|

Namco doesn't strike me as one to make a hash-port of such a great franchise. That being said, it's also been pretty much confirmed to be called Beautiful Katamari, and is, in fact, a brand new Katamari game.
I <3 Katamari, much like the sequel suggested, so this is great news. I love the one level in the 2nd game where you start off picking up very tiny stuff, then graduate, in the end, to picking up entire mountains, clouds, and eventually even God himself. I don't think I've laughed harder at any game than when I rolled up God into my Katamari!
I'll probably go for the next-gen versions over the Wii version. I can't wait to be able to use The King of All Cosmos as my XBL Gamerpic!

Yeah, that's what I keep telling myself, but remember, UbiSoft took Prince of Persia: Two Thrones, added Wii controls, and renamed it Prince of Persia: Rival Swords. But again, that was UbiSoft, and this is Namco. So hopefully you're right and I'm wrong.

Sonic's day may have passed, and Mario may be fatter and have cameltoe, but you know what? I don't care. Any child of the 80/90's has been waiting on this year for 16 years now.

Nintendo and Square have a good relationship now. Maybe after a few years of bitching, it will happen thanks to this April Fool's day joke. Hell, Mario and Sonic in a game, and NiGHTS 2 on the same freaking day?
Just give it time and fan bitching. Anything is possible now.

Just a question to anyone who may know...
...Black and White DS...which one shows the scratches more?
I've seen White DS at places like EBgames and it didn't look like the scratches showed that much. I've never seen a black one in person.
Hm, personally, I would go with black. But that shows scratches more from personal experience with black colored objects. If you want things that don't show up the scratches, pick the white. It shouldn't show up the scratches as much, at least.
Then again, if you can't decide, you could always get a pink one...

Okay, so Capcom games for the Wii can be written off my "gives a damn" list now.
Seriously, this is pissing me off, and causing me to loose faith that any quality third party games are coming. I had a sinking feeling when Ubisoft started remaking last-gen PoP games and ignorant people actually bought it. Now that it sold, Capcom appears to have smelled "cash-in" hovering in the air. The best we can get is a port of a game that isn't even two years old? For fu*ks sake, I am not buying that garbage, and I'm sure as hell not paying a goddamned dime for a new RE shooter. I still remember the last piece of sh*t RE shooter they made for PS2. No thanks.
The next step (and last straw) is for Nintendo to start inevitably cranking out Wii ports of Mario Sunshine and Wind Waker with waggle stick support to sell to all the non-gamers and sucker fanboys. You can quote me, because every cell in my body feels it coming. Hell, the only good Wii games we've gotten thus far have been ported from late-gen GameCube development. A Mario and a Metroid once a generation aren't going to cut it. Not anymore.
This fan abuse is starting to reach it's limits. Looks like the Wii really is a piece of ****.
Wii isn't a piece of sh*t, because it has the potential to be fun! It's just developers aren't coming up with any good ideas! I don't really blame them, though, because it seems the only developer that has a good vision of what makes Wii different from anything we've ever seen before is Nintendo themselves.
But seriously, RE4 on Wii? Way to rehash games. It'll probably look the same as GameCube's version. Wii has better hardware than GameCube, after all. I just don't expect it to look like something that would look on a 360.
At least Metroid hasn't been pushed to 2008 (http://wii.advancedmn.com/article.php?artid=9360) like we all thought.

No, the Wii is a piece of sh*t. A huge piece of sh*t. And RE4 will look worse than the PS2 version. I don't care what anyone says, every single port for the Wii looks like balls. Anyone who's played any of the ported Wii games can attest to the fact that it's being raped by third-parties. The thing is more powerful than an Xbox, yet I haven't seen one game that comes even close to matching that kind of power. My guess is Galaxy will be the first one to do it.
And as for the Gamecube remakes with waggle, Shiggy already said they'd be doing that in an interview months ago, so you can look forward to that bullsh*t, too.
The Wii is the Gamecube all over again. It'll get one or two great first-party games a year, and for the rest of the time it'll be collecting dust.
^^ Agreed on all points. I remember that the Gamecube had a similar hype about it when it first came out. I only wanted it for "Super Smash Brothers Melee", but my parents wouldn't get it. Good thing, too. SSBM would probably be the only game I would have played on that thing.

"You are coming to a sad realization, cancel or allow?"
Because I'm finally able to admit how bad the Wii really is. It had me hooked on the greatness of Wii Sports for a couple months, that's what basically sold me on how fun the Wii can be. I bought almost every Wii game and turned around and put it on eBay a week later. Its sad when the best game you have came packaged with the system. Im pretty sure I will only purchase 3 games this year, SPM, SMG, and SSBB. That's all...in a whole year. I'm tired of reading news about all the ports that are coming. The only reason my Wii is seeing ay action is because of the VC. So basically I blew $250 to play games that are like, what, 10-20 years old?
I agree...what a load of ****.
There's just no use in trying to defend the Wii anymore. I thought that Nintendo would've learned from the mistakes of the past TWO generations, but it's not likely. A shame really. The Wii has got so much potential to be great. Kinda like what Peanut has been saying about the PSP........

Well, let's see. This year we've gotten Wario Ware. That was from Intelligent Systems. Then we got Super Paper Mario. Who made that? Oh yeah, Intelligent Systems. Next up is Fire Emblem. Guess who? Intelligent Systems. It's like they are the only team at Nintendo who does a goddamned thing anymore. EAD doesn't put out sh*t. Wii Sports was a collection of training projects they compiled together and polished for retail. Sounds familiar....Mario Sunshine. Yep. Third parties put out garbage, ports, remakes, and GameCube Wii-makes when the damn original is already playable on Wii. I was dinking around with RE4 not two days ago.
Intelligent Systems is basically the only reason my Wii is still hooked up. We'll get Mario this year. Other than that, I see everything else getting delayed to 2008, and then pushed to Fall of that year.

The Prime games weren't exactly the best in the series. I did like them but I generally dislike FPS style games.
And the way everyone talks about the Wii they make it sound like you have to actually hole the remote up towards the screen. Now MP3 better be worth purchasing a Wii for.
When I rolled through Twilight Princess on the Wii, I played it laying down. You don't have to hold it up at all.
Yeah, you can be pretty relaxed while playing the wii.
Anyway, external storage media has been confirmed (http://www.esol.co.jp/english/company/press/emb_press070404.html) for wii in a new press release. I'm not sure if it's a HDD or what, but I'm pretty sure it uses the USB.

^ Yeah, it's basically USB drives. Expect a firmware update for the Wii to allow this.
I'm amazed so many people are disowning the Wii. It's definitely a step in the right direction. Sure, it's not exactly perfected yet, but it's a broad jump into video game evolution. I still don't own one for myself, but my best friend owns one, and he practically lets me use it any time I want. Playing Godfather was great. I dunno, maybe I have a thing for strangling people, and the fact that I can sorta releastically do it was an exhilerating experience for me.
I loved playing Twilight Princess with the Wii. I agree on the vine-climbing being a total b*tch, but meh... it's been that way since Ocarina of Time. I'll admit, this thing is basically a GameCube with new controls, and they could've perhaps did a little improvement on graphics, but it's still early in the game. It took even the 360 a little while for the good games to come out. I'll give the Wii until it's reached its one-year anniversary.
And props to whoever posted the Metroid Prime 3 release update. I was gonna do it, but arrived a little late. I love the series! It might be because I love FPS's. But for one of the few (or only?) FPS's on Nintendo, it's top-notch! Hopefully, Nintendo can develop more FPS's with a more mature theme.
And I hope Nintendo gives people the option to use the classic controller for all games, just in case they don't feel like dealing with the Wii-mote.

That article says hat Echoes didn't sell as well as Prime, I think I could tell them why. They strayed too far from the Metroid formula by adding so much. Prime felt like an FPS Super Metroid, Echoes felt like Metroid 2099: The Next Generation.
The game was still fun, just certain things about it wasn't as good as Prime.
ThirdMarioBro

It just didn't feel like a Metroid at all. The setting didn't set well with me. That and the galactic federation made it look like they were pretending to be Halo. It was just annoying, because the original hit me so hard, I called it game of the generation. Better than RE4. Yeah, I went there. Better than Wind Waker too.
Metroid Prime looked, smelled, played, and felt like Super Metroid in first person. Only thing that was sub-perfect was the music. Too much electronic, not enough organic. Even so, it was still great music. It just didn't fit well.
Echoes strayed too far from the formula, gameplay, and setting. Hopefully these delays for MP3 were to make the game feel as fresh and honest as the original Prime, and not to waste our lives including multiplayer--the one thing no Metroid game should ever have.
And mass storage on Wii can only mean two things.....demos and Saturn games. Either one for the total win.

The Gametap service just got Sega Saturn titles. That means emulation for Saturn is alive and apparently very well. The odds of that stuff hitting the VC just skyrocketed.

I loved the music in Prime, it really helped add to the overall feeling the game gave off, the overwhelming ambience that made the whole experiance so remarkable in my opinion.

So, after looking for one since 2003, I finally found an F-Zero AX cabinet (the deluxe model baby) and blew $25 on it. Greatest arcade game ever, period. So, after tearing myself away from the GameCube's analog stick, I was able to adjust to the steering wheel. I can see now how an F-Zero game could work on Wii if you were using the Wiimote as a steering wheel (and that $5 Ubisoft steering wheel shell works wonders with Excite Truck), though I still question the lag in the controls.
So, yeah. It could work, but I still don't want a half-assed farm out project. After the production values Sega poured into GX/AX, I'll never accept anything less again. Yeah, I know. It's not going to happen, and if it did, the game would go to Suzak or some other crap-ass farm out team.
It's nice to dream though. Okay, here's a realistic thought. Nintendo is likely going to waste resources for the next five years porting GameCube games to Wii with waggle controls to milk their brainless fanboys for every dime they are worth while preaching the innovation line. Face it. We all know it's going to happen, and I hate the bastards for it whole heartedly. Still, I would buy a Wii-make of GX with online play. I feel like a dirty whore saying it, but I would. That's the only damned one though. That probably wouldn't happen either because it was developed by Sega. The best F-Zero game we'll probably see from here is so cheapo' DS game with N64 graphics and that bad anime artwork. Count me out in that case. :(
Oh well, life moves on. Sorry for the rant, but I've been hearing rumors through various channels.

With God as my witness, NO.
I have no interest (and time/money) in playing games that are already in my collection. Porting old 16-bit games down to an inferior portable was one thing, but porting old GCN games up to a more powerful console with no additions except wonky controls? No thanks.

Secondly, he's totally in it. He's actually built up a TON in this game, which is totally f*cking awesome, because Luigi rocks. This was one of the big secrets Nintendo was trying to keep under wraps about this game, pre-release. Hence why no one has grabbed any screen shots of it. Rest assured, he's in there.

Some new junk regarding Resident Evil...
Resident Evil 4 (http://www.gamespot.com/wii/action/residentevil4/news.html?sid=6169094&mode=previews)
Umbrella Chronicles (http://www.gamespot.com/wii/action/residentevilseries/news.html?sid=6169092&tag=topslot;action;1)
RE4 is a polished version of the GC version, with new controls (duh) and the PS2 extras. You can watch the video, the graphics , unlike what peanut said about being worse than PS2, are pretty alright, if not better, deffinately on par with GC.
As for UC? It's a rail shooter, we knew that. They said they used the same graphic engine used for the REmake. Looks alright, smooth and so on. But it is just a Resident Evil version of House of the Dead. Although, like it was said to be, it does cover 0,1,2,3 and possibly Code Veronica. And Who doesn't want to see parts and characters from RE2 and RE3 get a face lift? Imagine a graphically pleasing Nemesis, and Claire, and Birkin monster.

Some people with a certain model number of the 360 guitars had some problems, so they recalled all those models. I had one of them, but have never had a problem, it was probably just a single batch.
It turned out to be the software that was the problem. In the first game you could strum the note a little too early and whammy straight away and get a huge star power bonus so they made some code for the second one to try and stop that happening but they went a little overboard. I had a messed up whammy bar myself and the update fixed it, then when I played on my friend's 360 without the update the problem was back. That's how I broke it, in my drunken state I went a little too hard on the whammy to try to get it to work.
LogicDonny

I doubt they'll put more memory into the Wii, you can already use SD cards in it (and they go up to 4GB now, I think) and the size of the stuff you can download is very small in comparison to the 360 and PS3 anyway.

Not really. Those damn top-loading NES's are overrated. The cartridges stick in those things too tight. It will rub the copper right off your cartridge connector pins trying to pry the games in and out often. Also, they don't have component video out so the picture will look like garbage. I just popped open my Nintendo Power this month and found that they pulled Spiderman 3 as the cover story for NiGHTS 2. That's like only the second time in 19 years they've pulled a cover story for a surprise.
Also, they revealed that Planet Puzzle League for DS will indeed have D-Pad control options for old cranks like myself who think their thumbs can destroy n00b kids & non-gamers and their stylus ridden gameplay.
I am the God of Panel Puzzle games. Don't mess with me or I'll come down off Mount Olympus and kick your ass like Kratos with a hangover.
 I can't laugh but laugh how ignorant he is.. (Gasp) maybe I am a puzzle master as much as you.

You really should start looking words up in the dictionary before using them.

Glad to hear that. I was worried that gameplay would be restricted to the stylus only, but it's good to know that you can still play the classic way as well.

Silly rabbit. Tricks are for kids. Puzzle games are for adults with quick wit and lightening reflexes. Go play in your sandbox. I'm importing the Japanese version just to give myself an extra month of warm-up before I go for the US leaderboards. There is this guy in Oregon I know from a tournament 7 years ago who can pull x27 chains out of his ass every 90 seconds or so. That's the skill rank I'll be playing in. If you can handle that, then by all means bring it on. Otherwise, back to the sandbox.
I think I speak on behalf of everyone when I say "OH, SNAP!"

Oh damn it, where is that quote from? You're driving me crazy!
The Trix cereal bunny! He never gets the Trix, either. You'd think he'd buy a gun or something by now and hold the kids up.

Now I remember, I'm pretty sure I heard the quote when it was referenced on the PowerPuff Girls. Err...When some sissy was watching it in the other room with the volume turned up, of course.

You do that, cheat.
You won't get very far. I got tetris Attack.. I'll practice via that.
Also, I know all about the silly rabbit thing. Don't try thinking I'm a stupid kid, I'm much older than who you seem to think I am. The day we meet in combat, the day I come out Victorious.

Goddamn, you are a little cockroach are you not? That screen is something I found on the web. I posted it for the sole purpose of letting any Panel de Pon fans in this forum know that Lip, the original character from the first game, is indeed unlockable in the DS game. I did not for any reason whatsoever post that image because I feel the desire to prove anything to a human being of your sad caliber.
The only image meant for you was the second one. Please take it to heart and follow the dog's example.

I think someone needs another ban from the video game section
I'm ready to drop the ban bomb. This section has been in an uproar since the ban was lifted.

off topic but i was wondering, what did this game (and pokemon puzzle league, etc) originate from? i remember playing some version of this when i was younger but i never caught the name. if i recall correctly, there were golden masks involved.
Probably to further decay my mental representation of human society's approach to digital communication.
More than likely, I feel.
