You had one and got rid of it? Someone ban this fool!

Yeah, I feel stupid for it. My little cousin Erika wanted one so I sold it to her for $20. I felt bad for her cuz she hardly has any friends....so, yeah.

EDIT: I was gonna give it to her, but she offered to pay.

So I went to get RE4 for the Wii today because I never had a GC. I couldn't find it anywhere. It wasn't at Gamestop, Walmart, or Meijer. Didn't this thing come out on Tuesday?

You gotta give third-party games on a Nintendo console at least a day or two, dude. You'll usually get the big Nintendo stuff on the day of release, but most other stuff is generally late. It'll show up eventually.

Also, it's worth noting that this is my first RE game ever. So it seems like a good point for new players to jump on.

Well, it will have to work pretty hard to beat Twilight Princess in my book, but that's just my opinion. I know how you guys feel, so please don't start.

Its good to know that the touch screen seemingly hasn't broken the game, though I wish they would have included D-Pad support as well. I feel more and more like the next Nintendo handheld won't have a D-Pad.

Anyway, here's looking forward to a kick-ass Zelda I can take to bed with me.
Nah. Even the Wii has a D-Pad and it's used for other things besides Virtual Console games.

Saw it just now. Didn't see it coming at all, what a great update. I'm guessing we will get a glimpse of her moveset later this week. I don't expect Sheik to return, as (s)he has no place in the TP setting and has in all likelihood been replaced by Zero Suit Samus.

Peanut

Awesome! I figured we'd have to deal with seeing the profiles for all the announced characters before they got into newer stuff. Definitely like Zelda's newer TP-ish look.

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping. Zelda was pretty bad-ass in Twilight Princess with her light arrows and sword.

Dr. Doom
06-25-2007, 02:14 PM
I wouldn't see any point in "replacing" any characters, nor why "replacing" Sheik with Zero suit Samus would make any sense as a statement. I don't think they'd remove Sheik, just because it was a huge part of Zelda's gameplay. If they do, they'll have to change her up a bit, and the fact that it's TP Zelda certainly makes that look more possible, but you have to remember, this game isn't exactly canon or anything. If they wanna keep Sheik, they will, regardless of whether or not it'd fit the "story". Who knows, maybe Zelda and Sheik will be seperate characters even. I just wouldn't see any point in removing anyone. It seems like it'd be in their best interest to keep everyone they've already made in order to maximize the number of playable characters.

Peanut
06-25-2007, 02:34 PM
I'd say she very well may still transform in Sheik, if they keep her move-set similar. If they've decided to rethink her, then I'd say Sheik is gone. As far as Zero Suit Samus replacing Sheik, I don't know how that would work, unless Samus will be able to "transform" into Zero Suit Samus, and Zelda will no longer transform in Sheik. I guess that's kind of like a replacement. Either way...I think Zero Suit Samus was the stupidest thing they could have possibly added to the game. A complete waste of a roster space. As if the numerous clones weren't bad enough.

ThirdMarioBro
06-25-2007, 02:57 PM
Sheik needs to go bye-bye. This game needs to have some originality, and not just throw in all the old characters and tweak their move sets. Melee featured Ocarina/Majora stylized characters, so Sheik was a timely addition. Brawl should use Wind Waker/Twilight Princess stylized characters, and their move sets should reflect recent history. I for one would love to see Zelda get her sword fighting groove on, and for TP Link to have a Down+B where he transforms into a Wolf and goes ape-sh*t.

The games needs to stand out from each other, otherwise this is just a deluxe edition of Melee.

Dr. Doom
06-25-2007, 03:31 PM
I fail to see how including things from the last game would rob this game of it's originality. Whether or not Sheik or Falco or Ganondorf or Roy or whoever is there is not the issue, it's just what they do with them. They can bring everyone back without ruining the ingenuity of the game.

I definitely want to see Wolf Link in there in some for or another.

06-25-2007, 03:46 PM

Yeah, you're dumb. Why wouldn't they keep the old characters when a lot of people are used to Melee? It wouldn't make sense to force people to learn how to use new characters, when the original to Melee was an upgrade. I agree with the Wind Waker, though. Not Twilight Princess. That game was good, but....I hate the wolf.

And for the record, I play as Sheik.

Dr. Doom
06-25-2007, 03:50 PM
There really isn't much sense in taking anything away from Melee, as long as they focus on adding an acceptable amount of new stuff (even from what little we've seen, I'd say that's the case so far).

But yeah, Wolf Link has to be in there in some form.

Mecha Cow
06-25-2007, 04:10 PM
I say 'replace' because

A) it would make no sense to have TP Zelda transform into OoT Sheik (I think it would be foolish to write the change in design off as merely a cosmetic update, I very much doubt the developers would not have taken the discrepancy into account had they intended to keep the Sheik character)

and B) Zero Suit Samus has been confirmed to be a transformation of Samus (ie. a 'bonus' character like Sheik), and as shown by the game's 2nd trailer, has several of Sheik's moves (Not to mention a similar whip/chain weapon).

It would be the same as 'replacing' Young Link with WW Link or Ness with the Mother 3 protagonist (I'm speculating).

Sheik is one of my best Melee characters so hopefully I'm correct, and I believe I am. I would prefer this setup anyway, because regular Samus is actually a good character, unlike Zelda (In Melee at least).

I hope they don't ruin Link with a sh*tty wolf transformation, but like I think I've mentioned before I wouldn't mind seeing Wolf Link/Midna as a seperate character.

Peanut
06-25-2007, 04:50 PM
As much as I disliked Wolf Link in TP, I think giving Link a transformation Down+B move would be cool. Because...really...who actually uses Link's bomb move, or even the boomerang? His move-set isn't the greatest, just a bunch of random, and weak, projectile crap.

And Mecha, is it confirmed that ZS Samus is a transformation of Samus? I sure hope so, because the roster is already filled with characters who don't need to be there, we don't need another one.

ThirdMarioBro
06-25-2007, 04:56 PM
Well, if you guys want to play the same game again, knock yourselves out. I want some originality here; not just the same moves carried over with new character models and a few new faces.

I lol'd.

Mecha Cow
06-25-2007, 05:08 PM
And Mecha, is it confirmed that ZS Samus is a transformation of Samus?
Yes. It was mentioned on the SSBB promo website, before it switched to its current layout (When it had profiles on all the new characters, including Snake). Her character profile said that she wasn't truly a new character, but that Samus would shed her Power Suit 'under certain circumstances'.

What those circumstances are is anyone's guess, though some have speculated that the transformation occurs after Samus performs her Final Smash (The first trailer seems to hint at this). That would seem kind of strange to me, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I for one would love to see Zelda get her sword fighting groove on,

I wouldn't like that. Too many sword characters already with Link, Meta Knight, and Pit ALREADY confirmed, and a character from Fire Emblem is possible as well. Zelda was the only magic user in Melee and it should stay that way unless they add more magic users.

Dr. Doom
06-26-2007, 12:45 AM
Well, you can already see Zelda there, and she doesn't have a sword. So I wouldn't count on it.

Asd far as Fire Emblem goes, there have been some really awesome characters in some of the other games released here since Melee came out. I think there's some wonderful opportunities therein, so hopefully they won't just stick to Marth and Roy, great as they are.

Double post for great justice.

Maybe there is hope for Shiek. The official site just posted a kick ass medley of OoT from the game. http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/music/music04.html

I just can't see brown-haired TP Zelda turning into Sheik. It makes little sense, although I guess Smash Bros isn't exactly meant to make sense.

Wait, so the soundtrack will be orchestrated? Fully? Is this confirmed?

ThirdMarioBro
06-26-2007, 01:38 AM
Definitely. Sakuri confirmed a looooong time ago that the whole soundtrack will have a full orchestra with a Latin choir at the disposal of the full composition team, which is apparently a hell'va lot of people. These are the demo version they are posting now, and the finals will be orchestrated later this year near the final stages of development. The E3 version likely won't have any orchestrated tracks though. Its usually the last thing they do on a project of this scale.

Dr. Doom
06-26-2007, 01:48 AM

The quote came from him around the time the game was announced, thus most all of the transcript links I can find are from the day after they unveiled the game last year. I know he said it though because I heard him say it. I was in the press room of their booth the night of the first day of E3 where he dropped the bomb. Heard it with my own ears.

While it is unknown if Uematsu will compose the game’s entire soundtrack, it can be confirmed that all of the game’s music will be performed by a full orchestra. It will be a deluxe chorus complete with lyrics in Latin.

Actually, the chorus thing was only for the game's main theme. I highly doubt every song in the game will have Latin lyrics.

I don't think it's been confirmed (Main theme aside), but I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that the game's soundtrack will be orchestrated, though. Melee's was too, wasn't it?

I don't care. If it plays like a point-to-point arcade racer, then that motherfu*ker is sold. With every new screen and every new video I see of Phantom Hourglass, my want for the game grows exponentially. It also makes me dislike TP more and more. Damn Nintendo for going back to the "realistic" style. Even in just over half a year, TP has already begun to age horribly. It looks terrible.

That's a really good idea, what a great way to add even more characters to the game. Man, the animators for this game must be working their asses off. It seems to me that these'd make Pokéballs completely redundant though...Don't see why they wouldn't make those into 'Assist Trophies' as well.

Oh, and I guess this pretty much confirms 'regular' trophies are back as well, though I don't think anyone suspected otherwise.

Mecha Cow
07-03-2007, 10:24 AM
Play style, probably. I guess the developers realised that Bowser was a terrible character in Melee. I just think it's funny that the description keeps going on about being different yet all the screenshots show Bowser's old attacks.

He is a worthless character, but there is something they could do to make him fun. I notice his color palette seems to reflect Super Mario World more than anything else. Interesting article on Gamespot.

http://www.gamespot.com/news/6174649.html

"The reality is that the Wii is not expanding the market as much as Nintendo wants us to believe," Goodman said. "According to a publisher I have spoken to, less than 10 percent of Wii buyers did not previously own a console. So basically, Wii growth is coming at the expense of other console manufacturers--mainly Sony--not by expanding the market. It is only once a Wii enters a household that others start using it. Wii Fit will require those 'non-gamers' to go out and buy the board and software, which I'm skeptical of."

I do believe all of those numbers are inflated as hell, but Wii really is epanding the market; just not as quickly as Nintendo would lead us to believe. After a price drop we'll start to see the real growth begin.

And Nintendo is not satisfying their fanbase to the degree that they should. Their lineup is weak, and E3 only wrote that in stone. Mario Galaxy is one of the best games I've ever played. Hell, I'd go as far as to call it the SMB3 of the 3D Marios, but we're past the day that it and a couple others can sustain a core gamer's appetite. We're not kids anymore. We've got money (to some degree, lol), and we want games, and lots of them. We're the people that have been introducing our grandmas and grandpas to Wii Sports, because we bought it at launch, because we were the only ones who knew of the machine at launch.

Now, about Wii Fit not selling because of non gamers's reluctance to buy the board? Yeah right. The moment they get that thing on Oprah, Ellen, or start running commercials on Lifetime, its over, as in "KO Hyper Combo Finish" over.

Whoever it is does look pretty good. As far as the Smash-related thing Mecha was talking about, you mean Zero Suit Samus?

For those who are too lazy to check the site, you turn into Zero Suit Samus by doing Samus' final smash, which is just a huge freakin' energy blast that breaks her power suit.

I used to think like that, not about Sonic or Link but I always wanted to be good with Pikachu and I practiced and got good with him for awhile. Then I tried playing as other characters and now all I use is Gandorf because when I use anyone else I do alright but when I use Gandorf I almost never lose.

I really wish the game was online so I could see how good I really am because I can beat all my friends without much trouble and I've yet to meet anyone who can really beat me but that's all local people around in my area I want to play some crazy guy who plays all the time haha.

You see, I know he's in the game. How do I know? Mario & Sonic at the Olympics. Nintendo does trading games like this regularly. Sega gets to use Mario in a Wii Sports knockoff and makes a lot of money by being the first out. Then Nintendo uses Sonic in Smash and....well, they make even more money.

They've done things like this before, just not to this historic of a degree. As for Sonic Stadium calling the date? Bullsh*t.

I say TGS or even after launch. Maybe you'll have to buy the Olympic game to unlock him. I don't know, but he's in the damn game. They were making jokes about it over a year ago.

TMB = Loser:

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
___________________________

Graphics/Presentation 9.5
This one is one the top level of Graphics in the Gamecube catagory. Honestly, the fur shading absolutely kills Star Fox Adventures. There are prettier, but not many. The big DK in the lower left corner makes for some funky animations and is cool to look at. Never drops under 60FPS. Absoulte beauty to look at.

Sound 9.5
I've heard better in the DK series, but still, each song fits it's area very well. The underwater music is quite ambient, and just hearing the good ole DKC theme brings a tear to my eye after all these years. All of DK's new voice clips are just funny as hell. It makes me laugh just to hear him yell. The thumping noises of the punching and the bongos is nice, loud, and rattles my surround sound. Kickass bass. All in all, the sound is almost completely perfect for this game.

Gameplay 9.6
The only thing keeping this sucker from a 10 is the length, but I write that off because there's so many ways to enjoy this game. The combo system is so deep that you can practically combo and chain through a whole level. And for the bongos, they are a freaking blast. Honestly, I haven't laughed this hard when playing a game since forever. It's a total joy to play. No story whatsoever other than DK wants to be king of all the relms, and beats the royal sh*t out of everything in his path. Just the way I like it. Walking, running, stunning, and pummeling is all a Brease and a joy to control. It takes almost no time to learn at all, and you get good fast. It's a new and unique experience that is a thrill to play and enjoy.

Overall 9.5
For their first work to boot, Nintendo's Tokyo Studio has truly impressed me. I still wish it was longer, but like I said, who cares. The replay in absurdly outragious, and the game is just so much fun you'll be laughing the whole way through. Play this baby and have a blast. It's one of the most unique titles this generation.

THUMP THE MONKEY!!!!

Did I mention that TMB is a loser? I rest my case.

Barkworm
08-01-2007, 04:38 AM
Here it is, I highlighted the best parts:

Metroid Prime Hunters:
-------------------------
Graphics: 9.5

Okay, I know it seems like a given, but stop and look at how beautiful this thing is. See it running on a DS Lite, and you may stop for a second and question if this is really DS software, or FMV. It's unbelieveable. People compare DS visuals of the DS to N64, and that's bullsh*t. This sucker can crank way past that. The ole' N64 had a sh*tty rendering engine that could do a lot, but would choke on framerate every time it did it. DS shows how many years have passed, because it's processors are actually slower combined, but the graphics chip is so damn capable, this sucker can pull the full Metroid Prime engine at obviously lower resolution which a portable can get away with and you not notice. Only problem I had was that enemies in the distance are hard to see/shoot at, but I soon realized that was the fault of the screen brightness. DS Lite will solve that problem.

Control: 9.0
I hated the thumbstrap when I used it with SM64. Never touched it since. Well, I now see why it was packed in. Once you adjust to the lack of cheapo "Lock on", you see that this actually controls better than Metroid Prime. Be warned, the learning curve is steep, but I adore this setup. This is pretty much like Keyboard/mouse FPS control except with a Nintendo D-Pad rather than a sh*tty keyboard's arrow keys. Honestly, the level of percision is insane. The sensitivity can be tweaked to your tastes, and the touch screen buttons you need have a very wide hit range. I almost never miss, and can switch from morphball to plasma gun, to missles, and back to running in 3 seconds flat. It's astounding how good they handled the controls. You just have to adjust, that's all.

Sound: 9.0
Other than a couple of "bleh" tracks, if you loved Kenji Yamamoto's previous work, you'll obsess over this one. All hail the return of Super Metroid's omnious Male "voice Ahhs" chanting as you walk into the boiling gates of hell. Outstanding, and the sound effects even track your footsteps, just like Gamecube. Frequence is a little low, but hey, should I complain about 30Khz on a portable? Hell no.

Fun Factor: 9.9
It's no secret that Prime is my favorite Gamecube game, and this sucker plays just like it except with dual "analog/touchscreen" control. People claim that the action is more of the focus, but that is because there is more of it. It was not done at the cost of Metroid's puzzle solving roots, or Morph ball puzzles" , or find "a way to get the damn energy container locked away right in front of you" stuff.. The action is just better because there is no lock on, and the battles require more skill. You can still avoid most fights though, just like any Metroid title. [B]This is not an "Add On Sequel", or unnecessary game in the series. It is a full blooded Metroid game.

Multiplayer: 8.9
Honestly, i didn't think Nintendo could do FPS this good. Headshots, Chump points, multiple weapons, sniper points, scalable arenas, 25 arenas in all, each of a different type, and respawn points are random to kill "camping" before it starts. Computer scans for a random place nobody is close to and sets you there. 8 different game modes, and dfferent characters with highly varied abilities. And no, rolling into a ball and dropping bombs like crazy won't work. in fact, you'll probobly just get pwnd for it. Only tactful use of the secondary forms in perferrably tight spaces will work. It's very balanced. Yes, people will drop out on you, but they will get marks against them for it, and if you see someone with a high "chump" rating, you can opt out of playing with them and wait for someone else. Now, I'm not a Halo master, but I know what a good FPS should have, and this has it. If it were on a console with 128 bit visuals, people wouldn't fluff this off like they do. It's really astounding how rounded and complete the package is. I'm having a blast. Now, imagine this with Revolution's idea of "point and shoot" and more players at once, and we're got a Halo contender. As it is, this sucker offers a console experience in online multiplayer. Only weakness is the 4 player limitation. Try it. You won't regret it.

Voice Chat: 8.0
Now, for the voice chat. I was expecting police scanner quality due to the nature of the device. What I got instead was near XBL quality sound with headphones or external speakers. Yes, you can only talk between games or when waiting for other opponents, but the ARM7 is only capable of so much at once, and if it had in game voice chat, the thing would lag like hell. It's already being pushed and hammered way past the limit and managing NO slowdown whatsoever. The designers admitted as much. it was not done to "protect children" or anything. We can likely not expect full voice on Revolution. Remember, this is a handheld being maxed out. To have GOOD QUALITy voice chat at all, it a damned fine bounus. I don't mark off for it's limitations.

Overall: 9.7
[b]If you are a Metroid fan, buy this game. If you're a Metroid fan and don't buy it, you will be treated as a heritic and burned at the stake. I'm serious. Best handheld game I've ever played, and stands up to it's console brethern in the art design department, as well as physics, gameplay, puzzles, better action, and sound. The multiplayer is like a whole different game in one card using the same engine. It was worth the delay alone. Graphics aren't Gamecube of course, but it dosen't really show because it runs so well and looks so good. If portable game continue to evolve at this rate, consoles are going to have to start doing something new because simply, DS and PSP are showing that once the visuals advance a little further, there won't be anything they can't do that consoles can.

NOW you can kill yourself!

What it comes down to is what game syou want to play. The Wii is going to be offering you a lot of games that you wouldn't get to play on a 360 and vice versa, though there is a small amount of common ground. The controls are also a factor obviously, but the main thing is games, so I'd reccomend just doing some researcha bout which has a selection thta you'd appreciate more. I certainly wouldn't just get a system for the sake of getting one.

Also, you shoudl take into consideration that the Wii si still very hard to find, whereas you could probably walk into any Gamestop or Best Buy or whatever and walk out with a 360 no problem. And then on the other hand, the 360 is more expensive.

ThirdMarioBro
08-01-2007, 04:46 PM
That, and all the 360's on the market are currently defective and almost certain to break within 3 years time or less. Wait until Microsoft releases the new Falcon chipset version later this year if you are going that route.

Otherwise, I don't know what to tell you dude. Each machine is so vastly different and the games are all over the place. Here's a tip. Don't ask for advice. All gamers are very passionate about their tastes, and love to bash the opposition. The fact is, both Wii and 360 are first rate consoles with first rare, though vastly different lineups and styles. Take your own tastes into account, and make a decision by yourself. Don't let someone else's tastes choose for you when their taste in games may not line up with your own.

Pokemon is a really good game (Despite it not having evolved at all in 10 years) and there's plenty of other great games from a wide range of genres. If you play games on a regular basis I'd say a DS is definitely a good investment.

I was reading some of the text on those scans. I guess the Butt Stomp's official name is the Hip Drop? Glad to see that it'll be in the game. I wonder if it'll nullify large falls (resulting in no damage) like in SM64.

Anywho, this game is looking more and more beautiful. I can't wait for it.

Mario 64 let you air dive to cancel a fall. I missed that in Sunshine. Notice Kamek in those shots? That alone makes it GOTY for me. Boo Mario is also just too cute. I played with Boo Mario at E3. Stupid Nintendo had one of the demo units unlocked for "select media" to get twice as many stages to play. Basically that meant only IGN got the full demo. Fu*k that. I lurked around the demo for a couple of hours on Friday when I had nothing to do, and figured out how to unlock the debug menu and got to play the rest of the stages.

The caught me and scolded me near the time I finished, and I was like....uh, whatever. I win. Bye.

Could someone in the know help me out with connecting my Wii to my HDTV. I know there are a few options for connecting it but which would be the best? Component is supposed to be best but that's how I connect my 360 to my TV so I don't want to keep having to switch connectors, which would be the next best to go for?

EVERYONE, go and watch the Metroid Prime 3 trailers up for download in the Wii Ware channel. The second one contains something unbelievable.

They reveal a big chunk of the back story of Mother Brain, and I believe Kraid (who was modeled, but ultimately left out of the original Prime) is supposed to be in the game.

And for those Metroid fans without Wiis...

First set...

You know, you're right. Why ARE platformers such a dying breed? They're so goddamned fun and I can't think really think of anyone who WOULDN'T enjoy them.

Probably because people suck. I get really angry thinking about how few platformers are left out there. I mean, after Ratchet & Clank (which I couldn't care less for) and Galaxy come out this year, what else is there? Banjo-Kazooie seems like all we'll get; at least in terms of giant platformers. We'll probably still get some random ones on the DS, but I want the epic scale of games like SM64, BK and Conker again. :(

ThirdMarioBro

The market shifted. H@rdc0r3 players who grew up with platformers (outside the minority such as us) seem to think they are too kiddy to step down from their FPS throne. Kids are too busy with licensed Nicktoon games, and everybody else is either petting their puppies or training their brain in minutes a day.

Its awfully sad, but other than Banjo (who I get the feeling is going to bomb on the 360 like every other Rare game), the guy that started the genre (Mario) looks pretty much like the only one left standing who still puts out, and has the brilliant quality we remember, and even Mario games only hit once a decade, and that was before the non-gamer craze. :(

“Every hundred years a comet passes over the Mushroom Kingdom and rains down magical stars and stardust, and as Princess Peach and the citizens of the kingdom are celebrating the centennial event, Bowser and his legions attack. As Mario attempts to put a stop to Bowser’s shenanigans, but things go awry: the next thing he knows, he finds himself on a mysterious moon high above the Mushroom Kingdom.”

I would die happy to see a sequel to Fusion, but the more likely scenario with all this "One Last Mission..." marketing that Prime 3 is getting is that the series will be shelved after this game. I mean, it only makes sense since Nintendo is so hellbent on non-gamers and focused on giving core gamers the finger. Metroid Prime 3 went into production way before Brain Age and Wii Sports took off. Prime 2 sold like garbage, and Hunters did worse (though Hunters is a piece of sh*t anyway).

I worry about the future of the series. Retro is through with the series now that MP3 has shipped, and R&D1 (Metroid, Metroid II, Zero Mission) was closed down and melted down into EAD (and we all know where their priorities lie). I know that matters little since most of the R&D1 staff moved to sister studio Intelligent Systems (Super Metroid), but they don't get funding for sh*t. I hope Nintendo doesn't shelve the series, but I have a bad feeling all we're getting past Mario Kart is party games and Wii Sports 2.

Enjoy this holiday season folks. My gut feeling is that it won't last. Now, excuse me, but I have to go pick up my copy of Metroid Prime 3. Later.

Good one! Coming from someone who doesn't know anything about the franchise, or the genre in question, and quite clearly listens to negative fanboy comments on the game, instead of actually knowing what they're talking about. And it's especially good that the comment is made in defense to what can arguably be called a 1.5 version of the original Metroid Prime.

I wasn't to much into FPS back when I played either. I had the most fun playing Ghost Recon MP out of any MP FPS game. Perfect Dark was fun for awhile but playing the storymode was more fun for me then playing the MP stuff. Everyone online would just mess around and teamkill whenever I played.

I never played that one but yeah I've heard horror stories. Like I said I didn't like the MP that much. Alot of people didn't like PDZ and I can see why, it's really not that great and with all that hype surrounding it I can certainly see why people expected more.

I never played the first one more then a few times at a friends house so I never really played the superior one that could be why I at least like the storymode. But my disk is jacked up now so I can't play it anyways. The disk looks fine but levels, 3,4,9, and I'm sure there's more I haven't tried past 9 yet, won't load. Gamespot gave Metroid Prime an 8.5. An 8. - freaking 5. Consider this coming from the site that changed their Metroid Hunters score when everyone whined about it. They scored Twilight Princess-a GameCube port- higher than Metroid Prime. 3.

Peanut
08-27-2007, 11:54 PM
No. If it had been Jeff, or even Alex, I would agree, but not Kevin VanOrd.

I'm fairly certain they had to re-score Hunter's because the version they used to review the game wasn't final, and therefore didn't have all the features of the finished product. Also, Gamespot changed to a .5 system. Therefore scores like 8.8 have been eliminated. If TP got reviewed now, it would either receive an 8.5 or a 9.0. There is no middle ground. And seriously, Kevin didn't hate on the game in the slightest, did you read the review, or just glance at the score and decide they were trolling for attention again?

Dude, you're coming off as hardcore fanboy on this one.
