View Full Version : TMNT Letters
Just wondering what everyone thought of them. Not necessarily the ones up now, but all of them, the entire idea behind them.
I think its cool. I mean, back when there weren't any new TMNT things going on out there (aside from fan fiction) there were these. They have elements from most TMNT universes (except TNM, not that I'm still upset over that.)
Also, just wondering, has anyone actually written to them? If so, what'd you write? What'd they write back?
I can't wait 'til they get back so we can find out April's answer!

I really dig 'em, kinda like fanfiction only with a more official feel to it. Having them coincide with real time is also a neat effect.
Yeah, they definitely helped out in the absence of new Turtle stuff by making it feel like there was something going on. I kinda think of them as their own little universe because they've had so many different adventures and stuff.
I think there's a response from each turtle that gets sent out almost instantly to everyone who writes them.

There was an automatic response, telling you they got your e-mail back with the forms. Now, I don't think they do that. I wrote once, just for fun, to see what would happen. It was kinda neat, even though I knew it wasn't a real Ninja Turtle.

heh.. yah, I did that once years back. The first time was to Don, with a little "hi, how are you?" and I got the automated response. Then later I wrote to Don again with a funky list up of how the TMNT could be like Star Wars. I forgot why I was writting that to them, but it turned out that the Donatello address was also the direct fan mail address Dan Berger used! (I think they changed the address now)
So I got a personal response from Molly Bode, saying the Star Wars list was cute. Whoa... :goofygri:
I wrote to Raph a couple letters ago, back when he and Leo were trying to be more 'active'. Well, I read about how they had to stop because Raph got photographed, and Raph didn't say anything about it, so I HAD to ask how he felt about it.
He replied "They got my bad side, but other than that, it was cool. ;)
L8R,
Raph"
(Yes, I saved the letter, how pathetic am I?)

oooh i hate them
I got an automatic reply at first, but then I got an actual response, so I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

what was the question you emailed him?:
Raph email me back if you drink water
I already posted that on this thread, but to review, I asked how he felt about having his picture in the paper (because his brothers mentioned it, and he didn't.) He wrote back that they got his bad side, but it was cool.
The secret is to ask a short, simple question.
