Locations:
TMNT Lair: Nice! A lot of space.
Monitor Room: Err... Where does all those monitors come from?
Warehouse: Well, I wonder where this is going to be used.
Shredder's skyscraper: Wow! :o Sweet!
Shredder's Throne Room: Equally sweet! Very Japanese.
Vehicles:
Battle Wagon: Looks okay. Realistic.
Sewer Sled & Shell Cycle: The questions here is: Where do they come from, and why use them, when they have the Battle Wagon (yeah yeah, sell more toys... )

Locations look good. At first i tought it was bad to make the show differ so much from the original mirage plot(in exampel the vehicles) but now i've started to think that maybe it's for the better that it has it's own plot. Atleast there will be some suprises.

mmm... fascinating! Looks kinda like the second movie's subway lair too.
*also finds it funny that the website pages are titled as Donatello*

Mmm... I just love the new lair. Shredder's throne room ain't half bad either. The skyscraper certainly is... different. I'll have to see more pics before I can pass final judgement on it. The monitor room and warehouse look pretty much like you'd expect them to. I believe the monitor room is an extension of the lair. I wonder what purpose the warehouse serves, though. It certainly isn't the Turtles, because it has windows, and who needs windows underground? I'd have to say it's probably Shredder's, or more likely, the Purple Dragons. Shredder doesn't seem to need to hide out in abandoned warehouses anymore, he can afford better housing! :o

I really like Shredder's sky scraper and throne room. They're neato. I hope Saki turns out to be the very powerful and rich "legit" front for the Shredder and the foot. A kind of Wilson Fisk/Kingpin thing. That'd be cool.

Seems like the building of that japanese gangester from issue #9. Seems like Shredder will be a "legitimate business man"

Hey! It does!
*Wonders why he didn't notice that.*

Maybe Saki'll have a "protection" business like he did in the first Mirage comics.
Whoa, the new lair looks sweet. Man, I can't wait to see all these places in the cartoon. Man, Feburary seems so much farther away now...

*Low whistle* Shredder is movin' up in the world! Those are some digs! (I like the added touch of his armor in a case to the side of the throne room.)
Damn this is getting exciting!

For drawings that haven't been colored in yet, I must say I do enjoy the look of all these latest additions and sneak peeks. In particular, I liked Shredder's throne room (although the concept kinda baffled me at first, then I remembered this is more Mirage-based). As far as the vehicles go, I was only halfway impressed. That sewer sled looks too much like something out of The Next Mutation....*suffocates from uttering the phrase*

Yeah.. dunno if anyone has read Michael Zulli's trilogy in the Mirage sseries, but he had Shrdder living in a place kinda like that too.

Looks like the bat cave, if it were built in the sewer. Tell me the monitro doesn't look like the computer in the animated Batman series

Me thinks Don must do well in the scratch and dent sales at Best buy. Or from what New Yorkers throw out. :P

Yeah it was sort of like that. That was a great story arc. I liked how the turtles actually looked like turtles.

Yeah but his house were a little more modest than this time...

Maybe he's been in business for awhile.
This opens up a whole new can of worms. Could the Foot be a legitimate, government-aided company? Maybe the Foot are viewed as the "Good Guys" by the people of NY, wheras the Turtles are hated and feared. Shred could use this cover to plan his ulterior motives and conquer the world! Bwahahaha!
...damn, some one needs to write a fanfic about that.

Well i dont think shredder tries to take over the world this time, his goals are probably a little more realistic, like making money.

Bah. He's an evil villian. Evil villians always try to take over the world. If not the world, then New York.

If his goals are just money, then that sounds a little boaring but I can see it, it could get repetitive though
Who says villains can only have one goal? Who says he can't try and make money, take over the city/world AND kill the turtles all at the same time? Maybe he's good at multitasking.

Well thats what he does in original comics. He runs a "protective" firm. No taking over the world. But this time there can be something more to it, Judging by the house.

i always perceived Saki as motivated in consolidating his power and control over New York City. not so much money, but more about power (although the two are obviously related).
Karpo_007
11-16-2002, 02:07 PM
I dont know about that controll part, Maybe when he came back from the Dead, but before that he ran that protective business, of course there was illegal activity, but he didnt really try to controll anything that time.
*blinks* But protection rackets are all about control. It's about having control over those you "protect". Like being a professional bully. True, a great deal of it is about money, but there is a control factor. Controlling the city's underground (don't mean that literally) illegal activities gives you a lot of power.

You are right if you look at it from that angel, I tought he ment a little more larger scale of controll. You could say he controled the underworld of New York. Atleast in some area.
