E5R and I were looking over various illustrations and in our travels and art...looker...at-ers... We saw many sketches done by artists in blue and red pencil. No, we have no idea what kind of pencil these artists use, or where to get it.
Are they regular colored pencils? Wax Pencils?
Help us.
They might be Colerase pencils. Although I’ve never been able to find them I’ve seen reference to Colerase pencils as very good for sketching. A lot of the artists’ whose sites I visit use them. A search got me several online stores.

There is also non photo pencils. Basically you do your sketches and outlines in the non photo pencils, then ink over them, and when you make copies of the pages the Pencil lines don't show.
(My brother was working in the comic industry a few years ago so I learned some tricks)

Are you talking about Prisma Colors? I've used those before, but I'm not sure if those are the ones you're talking about.

Nah, I'm a vet when it comes to prismacolors. I think GK has it right.
I thought non-photo was a specific color: light blue. I've never seen them in other colors. Several brands have a color labeled "non-photo blue".

They come in both blue and red shades, because some processors pick up one or the other. Some people used these in my highschool photography class... no idea what they actually did with them, 'cause i spent too much time in the dark room inhail.. i mean, developing pictures :D.
