Alot of weird crap came out in the NES era. (I-Mockery (http://www.i-mockery.com) has an excellent archive on this). Anyway, what do you think is the weirdest thing?

I thought The Power Glove was pretty weird

Power Glove, most definitely. What the hell was that thing even for, anyway? Weird Nintendo merchandise, indeed. The commercials for the console were even better.

Lol I have the box I'll read the back but from wgat I understand it was only ment for like 10 games because you can only play with one hand. Making it virtually useless

Either the Power Glove or that really annoying giant joystick controller. That big controller was so friggen hard to use. I remember when my all my friend's controllers broke except for that thing and I wanted to play MegaMan 3 but using it made it near impossible to even move correctly.

Actually, I'm rather fond of the NES Advantage arcade controller. I LOVED that thing.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned that footpad thing yet. Talk about ahead of it's time. Long before Dance-games actually gave a reason for such a thing to exist, they actually thought people would want to play track games on the thing!

The robot that came with the NES was weird not to mention useless. So yeah, that gets my vote. *Jumps into a vat of Jell-O*

What was the name of that huge, flat grid that you'd wave your hand over and it was supposed to cause better gameplay? I had that. Horrible, horrible thing.

No idea.

I thought the R.O.B. buddy was weird.

At least the Power Glove was cool-looking. :P

The Power Glove without a doubt.

on a non-nintendo note I remember a weird accessory being offered back when Mortal Kombat was the hottest thing: I swear it was a belt and chest piece that plugged into the genesis and it "Let you feel the punches"

Who would want that?

Lets you feel the punches?

What, no Fatalities? No Friendships? No Babalities? :P

I think it was called the U Force. Basically playing without a controller.
