Hurricane Katrina was the worst natural disaster in US history; hundreds of thousands of people have lost their homes in the Gulf Coast, many of those now stranded there are some of the poorest people in the region who were unable to evacuate. The expense of the damages done, the basic food, shelter and medical supplies that will be necessary is simply staggering. The American Red Cross is doing lots of major work in the wake of the hurricane and could absolutely use some donations:

An important tip from tOkKa at Mikeystmnt.com: (http://www.mikeystmnt.com)

I know it might be hard to find some cash at hand, but even small donations can help. Thanks for your time.

My company is donating a good amount in the name of all the bus drivers here. :-)

One of my fellow Raph fans is missing. I don't know if she's dead or alive. She was 90mi E of Biloxi I believe.

Yeah, this is truly a disaster. We need all the help we can get. My family has given money to the refugees and aid effort. I encourage others to do the same.

What happen in New Orleans is really bad, I'm going to donate 50 dollars. to the Red Cross from the link at the front page of this site. I messed up by not donating to Thailand and the other last december.
