Well, I remember a year or two (three?) ago, we'd actually started considering doing a big Technodrome Convention. We were trying to think of a good time and location, but it kinda got put off to a future time when more people could afford to do it..
Still, it'd be a lot of fun... :D
I think there has been before. Though not really a whole convention so much as a "TMNT-centric meet-up at a larger convention". Usually you can get hooked up and hang out with other Turtle fans at comic-type conventions.

There was Turtlecon '92 I think it was? I forget what year, but it was a TMNT convention. I don't know much about it, but I remember it advertised in some Mirage comics.

I think that'd be pretty cool...but I honestly don't think there is enough fandom to support it

I think he was making a joke.. ;)
It would be interesting to have a big get-together of all the TMNT fans. The only problems are scheduling it and locating it where basically underage broke individuals can meet with older broke individuals.. :P

Just for info :
The first (and last...) TurtleCon was held sunday, August 23 1992, from 10h am to 4h pm, at the Sheraton in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Guests of honor were : Kevin Eastman, Peter Laird, Michael Dooney, Jim Lawson, Dan Berger, Steve Lavigne, Eric Talbot, Dean Clarrain, A.C. Farley, Ryan Brown, Mark Bodé and Chris Allan. "Proceeds to benefit the Red-belly Turtle project of the Massachusetts Fisheries and Wildlife Association". The 'Con marks the release of the 50th issue of vol.1, and the start of the City at War story arc. They held it in that town because Eastman & Laird premiered their first TMNT book there, may 5th 1984, at the "Portsmouth, NH. Mini-Con".

BUt on the subject, if we were to try to do a T'drome Convention, where would we have it and who would we try to "book" TMNT universe wise to make it worthwhile? (Big "What if..." but hey...)

Another problem? Not all of us live in America. We've got a healthy number of Canadians here, as well as people from the UK.
