Today I giot a call from a poilce officer on my cell phone then he called my home line! Turns outthat some people had muggeda woman downtown and came up north to shop and eat. 1 place they went to was my store. They also checked out at my register. I faintly remember- but the officer says for me to come in Sunday to look at pictures.
THe officer says this was back in November and these people bought electronics, Nike Shoes and other stuff. I remember the card not working and calling for a manager, but she authorized it.
My dad is mad cause he thinks the manager will backstab me and blame it on me. I am going to stand tall and say I did my job,I called for assistance I did as my manager told me.
:( sigh...why do people steal? Stealing is wrong-it's a big sin!
People need to be happy around the hoildays not act like jerks and steal credit cards.

I feel your pain!
I used to work for a retail store and I know what it's like. There were times when I was suspicious of a customer but the CSM approved the return/purchase and later the manager questions me about it.
Just stand your ground, say what really happened.

*hug* I been there- I follow my intution. and watch my ground. Just the managers (Including in Walmart) are idoits. They approve anything cause the "Customer is right" well I am currently studying managment- trust me I won't let the customer always be right. I hate stealing-I hate seeing people get away with it.
Boy I will be MAD if the manager who OK'd this says it was my fault.

You aught to do what I used to do.
When ever I was suspicious of a customer stealing, I would write a report about it and make a copy. I'd have the manager sign the original and then give him the copy.
That way, should something like that happened I could say, "Oh yeah?" and whip out the signed document

yOu knowwhat? This tears me up because I am not a theif, my honor is being a christian and obeying God's laws. I hate to be questioned for such pety things but I havea werid feeling, this manager will blame it on me.
Why? Cause she's this fat, woman who's very bitter ,and hates to be touched...and still lives with her mother.
She doesn't like me because I brought a doc's note saying, "I can't go to the back fthe room cause the combination of heat & dust makes me red, rashy and feverish".
See years ago-I had this major brain surgery that nearly killed me-to save me the doc gave me enough steroids to keep me strong during & after surgery. Well you know steroids have werid sifr effects in women. 1. for me was nervous and hormones. So the doc gave me birth control pills, acne medine so the face stays clean & clear.
Well it's my health right? Well when the main managers said it was alright as long as I clean the front of the store-she got mad and made a scene. Then she walked off saying,It wouldn't work.
Sheshh what a jerk. I mean my safety is important right?:x Why should 1 job stop me from still giving a 110 %?
But thi same lady manager who whined also ok'd the credit card that wasn't working. And yet this manager has been there for years before I came. IT'samazing how people with years on something abuse it.
i pray for the best- I mean I followed the manager's say.

All I can tell you is to keep to your side and do not bend to her. If she blames you... call the district manager. Explain what happened with the credit card and who approved it and etc...

Good luck.
And, if you feel confident in the district manager, (i.e. if you feel you can tell him something confidentially), tell him/her that you feel that the woman has a grudge against you.

I hope it doesn't lead to that but if it does; I hope it goes better then my Walgreens experiance!
At Walgreens they train you as a Pharmacy Tech or Asst manager to manager. But my manager there was a fat, bitter woman too who had a grudge against me cause of my personality and my popularity. Pftt.. like I cared to be popular. It's just I listened to customers, they gave me a chance despite my size and grew to love me.I was a hard worker and memorized each customers needs and wants in the store. I listened and gave advice!
and cause of that some biter woman with a grudge made sure I would never be accepted nto the Pharmacy tech program and left me a bad name.
