i just ot an e-mail back from ninjaturtles.com (yea... again...) one of my questions was:
Will there be any more new charectors in this carton or movie? Like another female turtle?

Their reply:
There will probably be new people, but no more female turtles. Peter Laird thinks it adds more depth into their personality and he doesn't like the idea of the turtles reproducing. Most fans weren't pleased with Venus anyway, therefore... no more female turtles.

(talk about a loveless life...) Well, i don't agree. If they didn't like Venus, they could have fixed it. Just because they didn't like fVenus, oesn't mean we won't like the new one! I just wanna know if anybdy's as dissapointed as I am.

I'm not really disappointed. I understand why Peter doesn't like Venus, and he has every right to decide whether or not there are any more female Turtles. What I'm disappointed in was how he dealt with Venus when he went to get rid of her.

I don't think we need one in the Mirage universe anyway, there are plenty right in the fandom. It seems like every other fan fic author has a female Turtle (me included.)

No matter what they do, there are going to be people who hate it, and others who love it, that's how things are.

I don't mind yaoi, I mean, I like the Heero and Duo paring and such... but the TMNT? No, no, no, no, no.... they consider each other brothers! Even if they weren't biologically related, it could still be a type of incest! (well, thats what I think)
And speaking of female turtles... girl fans of TMNT (Well, at least I hope they all are girl) pretended to be female turtles as kids! I know I was pretending to be a female mutant turtle at age 8...

The only real Turtle yaoi story I ever read was Brotherly Love, and that turned out to be a dream sequence (sorry to spoil it for those who never read it) so no harm done there. It was more about releasing tension than any kind of incestual relationship. Of course, there is Survival of the Species, and Two for the Price of One, but those're fics of a different color.
