To add four more dungeons, and pry at least 20 more side quests, bringing your gameplay total to 100+ hours, and to add an extreme level of polish to it that Nintendo hasn't really shown us this generation.
"A bad game is always bad, but a delayed game is eventually good." - Shigeru Miyamoto.
Yes, we're all pissed we have to wait. But I want the best freaking Zelda game I've ever played with this one. If that means I wait a few more months from now, I don't care anymore. So long as i have it for the summer shut down at work.

I seriously, seriously doubt that.

Who wants to have a little "friendly" wager on some E3 swag over who's right on the 100+ hours estimate? Four magazines have confirmed so far.
I saw that special a couple years back. Downloaded it off of Sonic Cult. That Libby b1tch seemed hardcore bent on protraying them as some kind of drug dealer, and she apprently tried her damndest to pin Howard Lincold in a corner. I love how he can swing just about anything.
Either way, I love the few things they revealed that I didn't know (like all that info about old man Yamauchi), but the host is a b*tch. I also have all the original videos for those commercials they showed if anyone wants them, plus 60% of that stock footage. I have an HD Rip of this sepcial somewhere. If anyone wants it, PM me. The show is good for all the little things, but I already knew most of it. One of these days I'm going to do historical video specials and I intend on kicking all their asses, but we're a long way from that now. Either way, good show from the BBC, but Libby is still a bitch.

There's no way in HELL this game will be 100+ hours. MORROWIND, one of the biggest game of all time, isn't 100+ hours to beat. Maybe you could stretch Zelda to 100+ hours by just running around, but you can do that in any game. From start to finish, all side quests complete, this game won't be 100+ hours. I doubt it'll even be 50+.
I always seem to beat games quicker than what magazines say are the "gameplay total in hours". Those things are never true. I very seriously doubt it'll be over a hundred hours, no matter what 4 magazines have said. I'll believe it when I see it.

Does anyone remember Fable being touted as 100+ hours by every magazine and videogame site in the world only 1 month away from release? It ended up being 7 hours, 9 maxed with all sidequests.

Yeah, but nobody can string a fetch quest like a Zelda game can. Either way, I'm sure it will be pretty damn long, so I'll be happy.

I'll be happy if it's as long as any previous Zelda game. I'm just saying there's no way in hell it'll be 100+ hours. I don't care how many sidequests they add.

I think one of the Final Fantasies broke that barrier, but I don't remember which one. Then again, you have to level up forever, so that would string it out. Zelda is real time. Meh, dosen't matter anyway.

This BBC special may be unprofessional and poorly edited, but it does give one unique glimpse. You get to see Yoko Arakawa, Yamauchi's daughter. Now maybe everyone can see why there's a 99% chance that Yamauchi won't leave his Nintendo stock to her simply because she hates him, and blames Nintendo for taking her father away from her growing up. If she had them....let's just say Nintendo wouldn't be independant for that long. Been saying that for years. She's a b*tch. This show gives a unique chance to get to see that. Only video I know of. She's even pissy twords Minoru when he's talking about the company, and I suspect she is the reason he left NOA. He got another job with a different/smaller technology company. He wasn't old enough to retire, but she was pissy because her dad got her husband a job in the company that "took her father away from her". See what I mean? Bitch.
Oh, and I don't dislike this particular show because it wa spissy twords Nintendo. Libby (the host) was just as accusatory and slanderous twords the other tow companies they profiled in this three part series. The BBC put the thing together rather poorly.

Xenogears was about 100 hours, I think.

It took me personally over 100 hours to beat Final Fantasy 7 with all the side quests and all that. It also took me quite a while to beat all of Starcraft with the expansion. I don't know if it was 100 hours, but it may have been very close.
But I know people have done this quicker when they were doing it the first time around. So to say that a game takes 100 hours to beat is totally subjective. Whenever anything says"a certain amount of hours of gamepay" I usually ignore it.

I hate Google-videos. Seriously. THere's no way to download the movies and after like ten minutes of watching the playing aborts. It's just unbearable.

There is no way in hell Twilight Princess will have 100 hours of playtime. I recall them saying the same thing about Ocarina of Time.
And seriously, would you want the game to be a hundred friggin' hours long (Not counting sidequests etc.)?
By the way, apparantly Nintendo is now denying what was stated in that magazine article about Revolution features being worked into TP. The plot thickens...

I dont' even care how many hours the game has.. All I want is to play the game. That's all I want.. When I play a game, i enjoy it and when I beat it, I beat it. There's no rush.

Only if it's that good.:P
There are some games that I wish would never end. Ninja Gaiden for Xbox is one of them.:D
I look forward to the day when they make a game that when you beat it, a all new adventure will open up. But, it'd have to be a secret.;)

they have. one game for example is the original legend of zelda. you beat the quest and then a 2nd quest appears by putting in the name "ZELDA" and you have a harder quest and the dugeons are in different places.
basically it's tej same game but harder.

Yeah.
It's just, I meant an entirely WHOLE new adventure.
Something like Kirby Super Star.

Take Miyamoto out of that list. Disgraceful. You should be shot.

How is it disgraceful when I myself said it's not to be taken seriously? For your information, I love Miyamoto. I think he's the greatest inspiration to videogames.
...
I had this sig for 2 months now, and you're just now saying something about it?:|
Anyway, relax. It's not a jab. It's just a joke and a show of respect. If you knew about Benvenuto, you'd understand it.

You'll have to excuse the fact that I ususally skip your posts and never saw it before.
Thanks. I really wanted to know that.
And thanks for mentioning that I should be shot. That's clearly something to look forward to.
You are a motivator among humans, Peanut. I am glad that there are people like you.

I don't post. That doesn't mean I don't read. And you might notice that I already posted in this thread.
I had this sig for months, and nobody had a problem with it until now.
Peanut's got a lot to learn about paying attention to detail. And about taking a joke.
