View Full Version : Missing dolls (and clones)
That is the LAST time I let my Raph plushie doll out of my hands. My mom took him and hid him from me. He was sitting on the chair next to me, and the next thing I knew he was gone. I nearly hit my mom because she wouldn't tell me where he was! I found him and I'm not ever letting him go.
Feel free to continue this thread with randomness, but to make Mike more comfortable, there will be no clones.

Im Finally getting some work done on my frickin' story. almost have chapter 8 done.

Can't wait to read chapter eight. Now that I figured out the most efficient way for me to write, I can get my own stories done faster. And my dad's about to take over the computer for several hours, so hopefully I'll have time to get stuff done.

However, I was thinking of recruiting some new Archiver co-workers. It seems Jazz has vanished into RL, and I hardly hear anything from Blue anymore...
Just basically people to be 'my eyes and ears' for any new fics on the loose, and to keep me filled in with dead links.
I'll still be the main webmaster... but it's a pain in the butt gathering up the updates and checking to make sure all the links still work.

Well, not too original. The idea came from a fic short that was posted on the TMNT mailing list. Something about having Raph (in his pink dress) distracting Casey so that the others could go in and clean his apartment.
That was followed by a couple of weird posts that included handing out pink dresses to the entire list.

I was thinking of entering. I was thinking of a story, but it doesnt have any villians, unless the guys' evil plan to sneak out would make them like one. Im not good with bad guys, except for being one, that is.

The rules don't say you have to have a bad guy, just a conflict. I was already writing a story so I decided to write the prequel as my entry, so I could edit out all that nasty exposition from my other one. But now I can't post either one until voting's over.
As for cosmetics, nailpolish is the end of my knowledge. I'll wear eye makeup sometimes, lipstick, but not often. But I LOVE painting my nails!

So, i'm gonna finish my next chapter and the next two will be up really soon, since i had already written them. Just one question bugs me...In the story, Don remembers how Raph and mike got punished for lying, and I'm wondering how Don should get his.
Well, that all depends on whether Don admits to his mistake or Splinter finds out another way. I think Splinter would realize that the poor little Turtle has been punishing himself, and be a little lenient with the punishment.

Well, Donnie had never told Splinter. Leo had asked Don if he had, and Don lied and said he did. Leo finds out for himself and finds that Don had lied to him. They argue and Splinter breaks it up. Splinter finds out about the lying and takes Leo and Don into the study. That's when Don finally tells what had happened.
I dont know what to do, some might say yes he should get whats coming to him, but then there'll be those who object to corporal punishment...

Well, i thought about that, but then, that would make it look like Splinter's letting him get off easy. Mike and Raph got a good tanning, so should Don. Now i'm not sure.

No. I think that if my parents had spanked me a few times as a kid, I might have turned out somewhat normal. (That would have sucked!)
As long as you make it clear that it's an obvious punishment, and that Splinter is not just taking anger out on Don, he doesn't like hitting them, ect. it'll be okay. I think Splinter really dislikes punishing them that way, but he knows it's effective.

This whole Splinter punishment thing reminds me of a story I was reviewing for Allithea (also wrote A New Enemy, on my site) before she posted it. Gave me some more ideas as what to tell her...
You prolly have it all worked out now, but how Splinter punishes is how you want to percieve his own nature.
Generally martial arts have their own ways of punishment, without crossing the border to make it seem like abuse. Backflips, pushups, running 50 miles, doing a modified handstand for a long time, scrubbing the floors, etc.
Since I worked with horses, it's been a big issue as to how to punish them without abusing them too. The best method is to punish right after the wrong, quickly, and with reason. And where the swats are taken make a difference too. Like spanking and a slap on the hand are usually preferable. (I really don't like hitting anyone or anything on the head)

Yeah, i had been concerned about that. The stuff you mentioned, as of my knowledge, he used also--for not as major offenses. I could NEVER see him really hurt the boys. That just wouldnt fit his character. That is not Master Splinter.

Once i get chapter nine written, i cant put up ten and eleven as well. Its gonna be 12 chapters and a prologue...if thats what they call it. :grin:
A prologue comes at the beginning of a story. An epilogue comes at the end. I don't usually use them in my stories.

Well, im actually thinking of combining 10 and 11. It's the little 'talk' Splinter and Donnie have after he finds out the entire story. HTe next chapter was the punishment and the conversation afterwards, but im thinking maybe to condense them a little bit.
