The new one is waaayyyy better. I hated the old Baxter. This one is the scientist of the new age...smart and suave. I can't wait to see how cool this new series is. I hope it surpasses the other ones greatness, which is no easy task ladies and gentlemen

Well technically the "new Baxter" is the old Baxter from the Mirage comics. So I guess the old cartoon Baxter was the "middle Baxter". Either way the New/Mirage Baxter is definetely the way to go.

Yeah the old baxter was the only good one... But right now we onlu know he looks like the original, But I belive that it will be the same character.

Me? I'm sorry, but I have to go with Mr. Fly. He was EASILY one of the best characters in the cartoon, and considering how many characters there were, that's saying something.

Most, if not all of us, grew up on said "Kiddy cartoon", and there's more than a few of us who haven't cast the thing aside like some piece of dung. It did it's job and it got us all here.

And really, when I say the Fly, I have nothing to compare it to. I've never read the Mirage books beside Issue #1, and we don't know how he'll be on the cartoon. I pick what I know. But even then, a black mad scientist doesn't match the coolness of a freaky giant fly with guns and a golf shirt.
Those sorts of things stay with you.

I grew up on the TMNT cartoon in the late 80's, but was always more a fan of the darker REAL TMNT in comic form or the first film. The archie comics kiddyfying of the TMNT was just really bad.

And thank goodness Baxter has been returned to his old glory. Why do people like the old cartoon Baxter? That cartoon made all the black characters white(Baxter, Bebop, etc) Its like you couldnt show black folks as main characters on tv? sheesh.

Well That's just how most of the show is like. 1, 8,9,10 season are actually entertaining, they have fight scenes, good animation and even good plot most of the time. Well The rest of the cartoon was still good for kiddies too, it doesn't matter to them even if the writers use same plots all the time. I know it didn't matter me when I was a kid...

Oh Im in total agreement. I got pretty over the animated cartoon after 1990. Though I really dig the first episode, very epic for a first airing.
Im really curious about the new one...so Im optimistic. But yeah, the whole old cartoon, the archie comics, even a lot of the toys...ack. I mean did we need fifty billion TMNT parody lines? Nope.
