What pieces of literature do you feel should be adapted to the big screen, and how? In addition, what existing adaptions that you feel are flawed do you think should be redone?

Piers Anthony's Split Infinity I would love to see on the big screen. It's like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Legend and Total Recall, all wrapped up in the same story.

I cant think of any novel to movie adaptations that I thought were flawed. I'm sure there is something, but I have a total brain fart right now.

Watchmen. People say it can't be done well, but I think it is a story that should be shared with people that wouldn't touch a comic, even if it is condensed. If they went the Kill Bill route and split the thing in two parts, it could be done particularly well. Otherwise go the LOTR route and make it 3 hours. Sure stuff would still be chopped but as long as the basic plot is presented and we get plenty of Rorschach it should be a fun ride.
