View Full Version : I miss Krang, Bebop, and Rocksteady.

I know Krang was sorta in the comics but Bebop and Rocksteady weren't. Even though they were kinda lame, I miss them. Any chance they might make a cameo? Especially Krang.

They won't appear in the actual show, alas. I do think we'll get some one-liners and throwbacks to the old cartoon that only us seasoned geezers will catch (and I remain fast in my belief that we'll get at least a couple "COWABUNGA!" phrases before the season is over.
And if you really miss the old cast: finding episodes of the old cartoon is easier than ever, so get to it! Quick like a bunny!

Speaking fo the old cartoon, where can I download the original Intro? I know this site has it but it's only streamed. I want to save it to my computer. Heck I want to collect all the intros. Including the new one they showed today.

You might find an MPEG version of the original one on Kazaa, but I believe Ninja Turtles Network has the intros in .rm format.

As much as I liked them, I'll admit they have no place in the new TMNT universe, just like there were some X-Men characters that didn't fit in the new X-Men when it premiered...

But it looks like it will an interesting show, and i'm just glad TMNT is back period.

I'm really hoping if the show has a second season maybe they could all appear if for at least one episode.

Yeah, the comic of creators.com went over its 10 year deal awhile ago, but the official site still has them :D
As I've said, I read the daily comic too. It's so funny.
As for Bebop, Rocksteady, and Krang, some characters are just meant to appear in one universe. You can add in there Venus, Danny, Keno, Prof. Perry, the Nuetrinos, etc. etc.
There are only two ways to bring these characters back for you. 1) watch the old cartoon show, or 2) write/read fan fics.
TerranigmaFreak

Venus, Danny, Keno, Prof. Perry, the Nuetrinos
These guys I don't miss since they were only created for the movie. To be really fond of certain characters they have to appear for a long time to really have a place in my heart. I never like the Nuetrinos though.

Me and Mondo were just talking about the new show's premeir character Hun and I mentioned that Hun looks alot like Rocksteady when he was an ordinary punk in the first episode of the original season.

Oh, there's plenty of room for talking brains.
Its a specific brain that was disembodied and mutated into a character named Krang that has outlived his usefulness.
Other talking "walking" brains are still viabe parts of the TMNT Universe :)

Uh, yeah, Bob Saget in cartoon form, I always wanted to see that...
I still like the old toon' not as much as did when I first saw it, but I still like it, and probably always will. Sure, it's childish, but when I think of TMNT, the first thing I think of is the cartoon.
LOL! I loved Vernon too, he was so crazy "I'll cover my rear..uh THE rear!" It was fun to laugh at how much of a loser he was!!!
but then again I dont think he fits into the feel of the new show. Maybe they'll have someone else be the comic relief(other than Mikey)

"Cool? Daddio, we are frozen!!"
One of my all time favorite TMNT lines :D
I hope we will later see te Rat King, Leatherhead and some of the other Mirage/cartoon characters at least
We'd :flaming:BETTER:flaming: get a new, in-scale (i.e. BIG) Leatherhead figure in the new line. I love the original, dinky one to death but we really need a mutant aligator thats bigger then a turtle, not smaller then it. I plan on buying all the new Mini-figures just so I can have my old Leather head figure be in scale with them.
As for seeing Rocksteady & Bebop again? I won't really miss'em much. I'm always 80% into something for the toys, so if Playmates makes a mutant Boar or a mutant Rhino, that'd be cool with me.
Toylines make toys & characters that exist only in toy form all the time, so don't go tellin' me it couldn't happen. Transformers has ALOT of toys that were never in the cartoons, same with G.I. Joe & He-Man (although with he-man i think the only one was Stinkor, but I could be wrong).
Heck, the old TMNT toyline was almost entirely composed of on non-show figures/characters. I watched all of the original cartoon series as a kid & I have no memory of ever seeing the following TMNT characters on the show (as active characters who contributed to the episode, Ace Duck just had a cameo as a cartoon show of his own & thus doesn't really count as being on the show):
Wyrm
Ray Fillet
Walkabout
Sergeant Bananas
Triceraton
Pizza Face
Panda Khan
Ace Duck
Fugitoid
Scumbug
Killer Bee
Needlenose
Antrax
King Lionheart
Doctor El
Scale Tail
Monty Moose
Sandstorm
Halfcourt
Hot Spot
Scratch
Shogun Shoate
&
Hothead (although I'm not 100% sure, as he might've been in an episode as I seem to recall one that a giant dragon genie in it)
All the above characters/figures never appeared on the show & a few of them never even appeared anywhere other then the toy isles. Playmates should'nt be able to hand us that "but it's not on the cartoon" line, cause it's B.S.
I just want lots of cool mutant animal, alien, ninja & robot figures in this new line, and I'm sure Peter Laird wouldn't mind seeing all that either, so who knows what may happen in the future? :D

Because they really couldn't. They did try to give Ideas for the first season of the cartoon, and they managed to make the first movie good, but after that they had to do some compromises. There was something about this on the official page.
