I just saw a brand spanking new trailor for TMNT during General Hospital of all things! In this one Splinter talks!!!

IMO he sounds like original animated series Shredder. ô,0

I am unsure if it's online yet but it was the best trailor yet! And Mikey even said "I love being a turtle!" *L*

Im just very surprised they aired it during daytime tv on ABC...maybe they did that for the parents???

Ha! Dude...I just saw this commercial a little bit ago and came here to post about it. I'm sitting there on the computer with The Simpsons on a local Fox channel and all of sudden I heard this voice talking...and so I turn around and BAM it's Splinter!

It's a great commercial and I got all goosebumpy when they started showing some shots of the action. It really reminds me of the first movie times a couple of awesomes.

My mum saw the trailer for TMNT today while watching GH, she admitted to me (she's not a fan of TMNT, but she may put up with the movie cause SMG is in it and she loves her) that the trailer was better than the first one (which we saw on G4).

But that also means there must be two because the one durning GH today was different. I remember it talked about honor and didn't name off each of the Turtles and it had Leo throwing Raphael into a wicked looking spin during there fight.

EDIT: FINALLY! I saw it, I am loving Raph's voice. And the animation when I said "....I have to disagree with you on that one", looked great, even in grainy Youtube quality. Splinters voice may take a little getting used to though.

WHOO HOO!!! I came home sick from work today, and while I was sitting here doing my homework I saw the commercial on Monday Night Raw. (No, I don't watch wrestling regularly. Just watch it when nothing's on... but... we watch a cartoon and debate about it, so wrestling doesn't seem that bad now that I think about it)

Anyway... commercial ROCKED! Can't wait for the next month to go by!

Also... it was a different one than the one on that YouTube spot someone uploaded. They actually referred to it as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and not TMNT. :-D

And actually, Leo's voice sounds closer to his 2k3 character, not Raph.

No, Nolan's Raph sounds almost identical to Frankson's Raph.

I must agree with everyone, Raph does sound excellent...better than in the actual trailer I must admit. also loved the "eyes narrowed* intensity that Raph had.

And is it me that, every time I think of Mako and hear his voice, I always think of:

I saw another one on while glancing at WWE: Raw tonight. It didn't say TMNT at the end but the actually trailer focused more on "THEY ARE BACK@! TURTLES! ZOMG!" and less actual speaking parts like in the two posted here. Still good to see them getting to all demographics.

Did the beginning of this say "It's the return of the mean green fighting machines"?? If so then there are indeed not 2 but THREE trailors.

Well there are definitly at least 3 commercials out. The commercial I saw they actual referred to them as TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES instead of TMNT and had different scenes being shown.

Which is why I've purposefully avoided watching the trailer or looking at all those pics. In fact, aside from the toys and the video game demo, I haven't seen a whole lot of the new TMNT movie. I'm going into the theatre fresh, and I'm gonna let it all hit me in right then and there. I learned my lessen when I seriously spoiled Rocky Balboa by reading up on it day and night for, like, six whole months.

it played all the way through for me but was kinda skipping on my POS computer.

Oh also, at the end of that one it says Rated PG, whereas the other posted here like it says 'this film not yet rated' so thats kinda funny.

Which ones are quicktime? As far as I know, the two downloadables are WMVs and this last one is an AVI... which is sometimes compatible with Quicktime and sometimes not.

Also, seeing as this would be the best place to put this: Does anyone know why they didn't keep the release date at March 30th? I was looking on the official site and I was looking through the movie stuff, and the poster revealed that the original release date for the first movie was March 30th, 1990. That would have been awesome for me to have been able to experience that movie and this movie exactly 17 years apart. Maybe I should just wait another week to watch it.

I just saw them--I have to agree with what some people are saying; between the trailers and the screencaps and the freaking novelization that I had to go read, there will be no surprises left--and guys, guys, guys, it looks so good.

Raph laughing in the rain--absolutely beautiful. Splinter's voice was fantastic; I like it better than his other versions, although I will have to get used to it. I thought Raph's voice was a bit weird, but Mikey's "I love being a Turtle" line was so well done. Um, actually all the Turtle's voices sound like the new toon, to me. They should have just got the 'toon voice actors to play it. Too bad we didn't hear more Don. I am rambling.

Can I have an internet hug or something? I am freaking out and my friends here don't care.

Wow... the is hands down THE weirdest line I've ever heard for TMNT. It sounds like Splinter wants them to go up and take over the world. It sure as hell sounds like the kind of speech from some crazed dictator rallying his troops for an invasion would give.

I just caught one on CW during That 70's Show. TBS, USA, CN, and CW seem the best chances of catching one(least i think so) since they all have the biggest connections to WB(CW mainly), the others through Turner. So i would also think TNT might be a place to catch one aswell.

Wow... this is hands down THE weirdest line I've ever heard in TMNT. It sounds like Splinter wants them to go up and take over the world. It sure as hell sounded like the kind of speech from some crazed dictator rallying his troops for an invasion would give.

i take it as that line is being said half way through the movie after the monsters have sort of taken over the surface and the 4 turtles are finally back on the same page after being split up and stuff and they are about to go fight the monsters and take back the city. that is what i think it is. that makes the most sense to me.

The commercial made it seem as if he was talking about the Foot and monsters taking over the city and that the Turtles need to do something about it. However, considering the theme, I would think he was talking more about family bonds or something.

Hey, who ever posted up the new trailers, thanks a lot! That was a real treat to come home to after a long day at work.

I can't remember which teaser it was, but my favorite part I saw was when Mikey flipped up his skateboard and caught it. That was cute, it showed his talents at his speed and athletism, and showed his playful characteristic.

I also liked it how the ending of one of the trailers said that this film is not yet rated. Hmmm, could be maybe we could be squeaked by with a PG-13, or if not, it will definitely be on the edge, if the MPAA hasn't come to a conclusion with what rating to stamp the film with. This makes me excited.

The voices, well, I loved what I heard from Mikey. Raph's laugh was almost close to the laugh he had in TMNT 2 when he cracked that joke to Tatsu about what he would do if he had a face as ugly as his.

But when Raph spoke, it was weird, like Rooish had said. Not so much the sound, but the way it was executed. Almost forced. Kind of like watching B rated acting. I sure hope it was just rushed for the teaser.

Splinter, kind of sounds like he is drunk, but like all you said, it will probably be one of those voices that you would have to get used to.

But gee wiz, March 23rd is still a long ways off.:(

Mikey sounds more and more like Grayson's Mike in these trailers.

Well... when I saw the presentation last summer in San Diego, they started it with Mako's Splinter-- and I was hooked right away. But I can understand how others would find the voice "different".

And frankly, I think all their voices sound fine.

I don't know why, when I captured the 2nd trailer, it said not yet rated. But the high quality one said PG, and I seen the 2nd trailer again on tv today and it said PG at the end this time too.

23rd can not get here soon enough! Good thing the first prequel comic comes out tomorrow I think.

Heh, I agree. It seems that Raph's laughter was a really powerful image for a lot of us on this board, myself included. I felt a jolt of emotion when I saw it, as if... we may be in for something more dramatic than we can imagine. I tried to picture how I would feel if all I knew of the TMNT was the old cartoon (like so many people in this world); that trailer seemed so dark, after all. And yeah, Splinter did seem to be suggesting that they were going to go take over the world. ;)

Warhorse, I gotta agree with you too, about Splinter sounding drunk. I'm all for Mako voicing Splinter, just because he's Mako, though. But I am a little scared of the other characters, especially the Turtles, being overacted, like Raph's voice was when he said "I'm going to have to disagree with you on that one." As much as I love the 2k3 cartoon, sometimes I've cringed at the voice acting. But they did have a higher budget here...

Someone on another forum who saw this trailer commented that it plays like a live-action trailer. And after I thought about it... they're right! It's cool that people are noticing that it's not purely kiddie fodder. There will no doubt be stuff for the wee 'uns in there, but this is a movie that's taking itself at least a little seriously. :)

It's most apparent to me in the moments of high emotion, especially when the Turtles are screaming. Like at the beginning of "Same as it Never Was," when Don yells, "Quick! Grab the--" and he was going to say "scepter," but he cuts off really abruptly because the line was meant to be interrupted. I dunno why I thought of that one. But overall, the movie voice acting sounds natural enough.

Mako's voice is going to take some getting used to..at least for my friends..im already used to it from the million times i've watched Conan the Barbarian.everytime I hear Splinter's speech in that tv spot, it just makes me want to hear the conan theme thrashing afterwords, and then I remembers..it's a turtle movie. I doubt that I'll have a problem with it thoug.

I have the third tv spot on my DVR box in HD however I have no way of removing it from the hard drive. Your not missing much, it basically is a narrator saying "They're Back! Green! They return!" a bunch of times and shows footage available elsewhere. Ironically the end says this film has not been rated while the other two spots have PG ratings.

Ya know...the only trailer that appears to air here is the one where Splinter talks about taking back the surface....I've seen that on 3 different channels, ABC, NBC, and last night on FOX during Idol. I have yet to see any of the others... but it's funny...when the commerical comes on everybody here stops talking and watches intently (my mom and step-dad are fans but aren't too interested in seeing the movie). :lol:

I just happened to have my account activated the day I saw this thread. Then, happened to see a commercial.. then, happened to see another, while having decent equipment to share with other TMNT fans, and... I wanted to share, so...

Want to thank me? Do what you can to help bring about a sequel. I'm having at least 6 heads with me when I go, the 1st time... cause I plan on seeing it at least 3 times the 1st weekend, if I like it. ;)

I just saw the trailer for Meet the Robinsons. And I must say, even though I know TMNT will be 100x better, they made a smart move bumping it up.

Because MtR is Disney, and it has a moonwalking T-Rex. Those evil genious bastards.

I'm 99.9% sure that is Richard Newman (Rhinox) playing General Aguila. I even compared the commercial to the back and fourth bewteen Kaye and Newman in "Dark Designs" (from Beast Wars). There's very little chance it's not Newman. Which is AWSOME!

Also, if I had the commercial in a avi; wmv; or something that the Movie Maker can read, I would make a comparison video :P

I don't think it was Aguila saying that line tho(cause as most of these previews none of the lips match words, cept for maybe one or 2 instances) I hear more of Kaye, towards the end of the sentance.

Man TMNT commicals are on every Channel. These are the channels I saw the commicals on. TBS, Cartoon Network, Toon Disney, G4, The N, Mtv, Vh1, Discoverys Kids, And more will come on the other channels. I can't wait to see this Movie.

I've had one student tell me that she is going to see the film on Saturday (the 24th). My class knows that I won't be there on the 23rd, and one kid's mom (who is a secretary at our school) mentioned that her son had said (a) that the teacher was going to be absent that day to see the film and (b) could HE be absent that day so that (c) THEY could see the film?

Funny thing is, I was trying to avoid these, but then last week I saw the movie promos on tv like 16 times in 3 days, so....

Anyway, I'm glad the TV spots haven't been exclusively on kids programming. I saw it 2 times during King of Queens and 70's show reruns. I think it ran once during a soap opera.

Well they said at the test screening that the movie screened well with both kids and adults so that could be why.

^I always thought that the Turtles could be related or liked by both adults and kids, and males and females alike, so this movie should be of no exception. It was just nice to see the older crowd getting a kick out of the green team.

But Wild Hogs, while it was an insanely funny movie, is mostly not for kids. But like I said, it was not a bad movie.

Im wondering that myself, and the song in TV Spot 4.

The one in #3 sounds almost sorta like Flyleaf, but i checked their tunes and its none of them unless they having something new comming out. Then i thought it also sorta sounded like Lullacry, and i've checked some of theirs but didnt find anything, but i do know they have a new cd comming out so i dont know.(EDIT::Ok, maybe they don't, i was thinking they did, but there is one cd of theirs i dont have, so i cant check it at the moment..but now that i go back and listen again, could it possibly be the donnas? i dont have any of their stuff so i have no way of checking.)

I'm sure its a song on the soundtrack anyone, from that bands that are on there, doesnt really sound like any of them, at the moment lol. i could be wrong, but im almost 90% sure the song in Spot #4 isnt on the soundtrack. and Roseangelo posted the track listing over on the soundtrack thread.

Just saw tv spot #5 during Heroes..or well, im calling it #4.5 cause it was basically a rehash of trailers 1&2, but with a lil different narration and the only altered clip was when they jumped(ala secret of the ooze style), cause this one actually showed them standing there then jumping.
