EDIT: It says Ubisoft is releasing this. So they don't just own the rights to the game based on the movie? Hmmm, no more Konami making Turtles game.... I consider that a good thing. Ubisoft>Konami.

Awesome news! I need to get a 360 asap. I plan on getting it in the next couple months, and this will be tons of fun to play online with friends. How do they charge you for these things anyways? I'm guessing you cant pay for it if you use a pre-paid X-box live card right? Also, I really hope your right about Ubisoft keeping the right, they seem capable of making some pretty good tmnt games, especially with practice. And it would seem the next logical step for them would be to make a more tmnt comic oriented game :)

If it had Turtles in time then it would be perfect.

you can either give your credit card info and pay for live annually ($50) and then pay for points off xbl as you want them. I think the lowest increment is 400 for $5, and there's no deal where you buy more points and you get them cheaper. If you don't wanna give your CC info, you can buy xbl prepaid cards from gamestores or best buy, and you can buy sort of gift cards with points on them. You guy go on your 360 and go to "redeem prepaid card" and enter a 16 digit code to get either your points or your year of Xbox Live added to your account.

Nice.. Very nice.. I'm saving up for a 360 right now so when I get a 360, I am going to download this the moment I buy a microsoft point card.

Does it have online play?

nvm...it does. That fact alone makes it worth 5 bucks

Anyone know if the original music and voices are intact? Stupid Konami... If Ubi-Soft is releasing this, I hope they do it right..

But I've never heard of a company buying off another companies franchise before

Good to hear. Has anyone confirmed that Ubi now has the old games under their license?

I would have asked them about this at the con if I'd have known earlier :).

This gives me hope for an unedited game release on the Wii. We already know the original NES one is cleared for launch, hopefully for before the movie..

Everything is intact. Ubisoft forked up the cash to preserve the game UNLIKE the people who actually developed it. Bye bye Konami.

Anyway, the full thing is there, with 4-player multiplayer and the ability to jump into a round at any time, just like the physical machine. Look for a match, pick an available turtle, then raise hell. I call Mikey.
