I read this in the USA Today web site:

While presenting at the recent Annie Awards for animation, they mocked their own anonymity, telling the crowd that if Hollywood had its way, James Arnold Taylor (Leonardo) would be David Spade, Mark Wahlberg would substitute for brawny Nolan North (Raphael), John Cusack would fill in for everyman Mitchell Whitfield (Donatello) and Ashton Kutcher would take over for the boyish Mikey Kelley (Michelangelo).

I could see the others, but David Spade as Leo?

Maybe a short, skinny, satirical Leo in need of a girlfriend...

If I could choose the voices for the TMNT Mike (Justin Timberlake), Raph (Hugh Jackman), Don (Elijah Wood), and Leo (Matthew Perry). I'm sure I'm alone on this.:P

Hugh Jackman as Raph?! But...he's...my cousin...having him as Raph would...be...bad..for me....uh...*twitches*

Justin Timberlake as Mike?! It's bad enough he's fricken King Arthur in Shrek 3! Ugh!!....

Matthew Perry as Leo?? He's got a Raph/Don personality...that wouldn't work. He'd make a better Raph than Leo.

Elijah Wood as Don?? What would he do?? Try to take the one ring to Mordor or look for the Childlike Princess (he was in Neverending Story 3). :P

My picks:
Leo: Kevin Sorbo or Joe Flannigan
Don: Michael Shanks
Raph: Matthew Perry or Jason Momoa
Mike: Ben Browder

Seriously, John Cusack as Don? Who would make such a decision? Even if they put friggin' Mel Gibson in the movie, the over-the-hill non-fans wouldn't come to see it. They'd wait for video. But, David Spade as Leo may actually happen on the next Mtv Movie Awards now. :D
