Was Shredder supposed to have a cameo in TMNT?

For some reason I could swear there was supposed to be a cameo with the Shredder in the new TMNT movie. He is shown briefly in the beginning in a comic format but never after that. I saw that an action figure from the new TMNT line is being released of Shredder, and I thought that double confirmed my suspicions, yet no Shredder. Any one know anything about this? Thanks!:D

He looks like he does in the new toon and it's a stupid fight. The whole thing is pointless. To top it all off your goal in the level is to reach Shredder's cloak, when you get there you have the flashback and in it he's not even wearing the cloak.

So they include Utrom Shredder in the new TMNT game? The Action figure looks like a cross between the mirage Shredder and 2003 version.

Game Footage. It's nothing special as Spitfire says but it is something for them to base the action figure on
