The sketch book came out

I love fan art and I decided to break out the dusty old sketch book and give it a whirl. Seriously I am an animator by degree and all people ever need done is Flash related thingys so I haven't hand drawn anything in a long time...
I did this on my work break today because I love the scene in the new movie with Mikey and Donny asleep on the couch when Leo first returns, it was such a cute candid moment and I really like getting that inside view...
I just started the shading and only have the high and low values really plus that is a video game controller in his right hand...silly me forgot to finish that part...

I was working at home today (Hooray elementary school spring break!)
so what did I do... Not what I should have been ...lol
I did another sketch and began to digitally paint it, totally for fun but then I couldn't put it down...I need to try and tackle the motorcycle and work on the fine details but it's a start...now back to work I actually get paid for...:P

Oooh, I am a huge fan of sketches, these are good! :)
As for motorcycles, gosh they are hard! I highly recommend snagging some photos of cycles on line and using them for reference, I always have to do that when it comes to mechanical things. I am not like Donny. :( I have no brain for engineering.

Doing this is pretty refreshing compared to my normal web and graphic work.
Yeah I need to start a photo reference collection for bikes and cars. I have gotten to the point where I don't really need it for posing so much anymore but technical drawing IS hard...I bet Donny could draw a pretty good cycle, I mean he made Raph's...lol

For a lot of individuals, motorcycles do seem like quite the challenge to draw. I, however, have never tried it, but no matter how diffcuit it could possibly be, I'll give it a try. Great job with the motorcycle and Raphael by the way.
