Thanks. I had done another Shredder pic back in about 1999, but I chromed his armor, and he had a slightly different pose... AND I INKED THE PIC. No sloppy-looking pencil lines, oh no! Anyway, the old Shredder pic and a lot more of my better art vanished when my hard drive died. -_-;;

coolmike1586
02-24-2002, 11:44 AM
thats gotta suck

hmm will u be willin to send me the shredder pic?

Kali
02-24-2002, 11:46 AM
Bummer. I checked out the art on your site and it's all really good. I couldn't do decent CG if my life depended on it.

Raijin Z
02-24-2002, 11:50 AM
Mike: Send it to you? The alternate version (Technodrome BG from the arcade game) is on my site, conveniently accessible via my nifty G.I. Joe-esque banner.

Kali: All it takes is practice. I've been CGing since 1995. I started with Paintbrush (Windows 3 Paint), and moved to Paintshop Pro 3 Trial version (for Windows 3). I drew Sakura from Street Fighter Alpha 2 with the mouse and colored her, but I only had a 16 color display! 640x480 on an ELEVEN inch monitor! AGH! Can you say nast pixellation? Anyway, I bought Paintshop Pro 7 a year or so ago, and it's been smooth sailing ever since. Anyway, all it takes is practice. There are a million and a half CG tutorials online. I made a couple, and I can point you toward some that I've found helpful.

sweet i want to learn how to do the CGI it looks so kewl! and all you use is paintbrush pro 7?

Raijin Z
02-24-2002, 01:06 PM
Yeah. I use Adobe Streamline on some of my inked pics, but it's not always helpful.

Well, I recommend Paintshop Pro, personally. It's easy to use, efficient, and most importantly, it's not expensive. $100 new compared to Photoshop's $650. If you already uze Photoshop, the interfaces aren't TOO different. Thanks for the welcome, peeps.

I just checked out your site, Raijin Z. I gotta say, it kicks major shell! I really like your artwork. You're talented, dude. And hey, I'm a big Mega Man fan! I'm assuming that you are too, based on your artwork. I think that the robot masters never get enough credit. Thanks for sharing!

Raijin Z
02-25-2002, 02:36 AM

I was just on a Megaman kick. I try to draw characters that don't get drawn much. I'm thinking about Pharoah Man and Samus Aran right now, but I don't draw very often. I REALLY need to draw my original characters, because I'm starting to forget what they look like. ;_;

azure turtle
02-25-2002, 02:40 AM

azure turtle
02-25-2002, 04:14 PM
Ahoy, Machias! You should get a website going to display all of your art! I'm currently planning on creating my own TMNT haven on the net, but I don't have time to do it now. If you still haven't found a host or made your own site, I'd love to host your artwork once I get mine up! I can't draw, so I was actually thinking about hosting fanart for my fanart section. Of course, it's gonna be a while before I get the site up and running

Machias Banshee
02-25-2002, 04:21 PM
I wish i could but i dont have the time to do it either.hmmm, I seem to be finding a lot of tmnt art that i forgot i drew. Its very recent, but i dont remember ever drawing it. I think its for a story or something, i really dont know. Sleep-drawing? creeps me out.

azure turtle
02-25-2002, 04:25 PM
Sleep drawing?! Woah, that's definitely weird....Perhaps those drawings are so old that you just forgot about them??

Machias Banshee
02-25-2002, 04:31 PM
Nope, theyre from the past 4 months, the dates are on them. my parents say i've done that before, as well as talk and sing in my sleep. Freaky aint it?!

azure turtle
02-25-2002, 04:38 PM
Woah!! Totally trippy, dudette! The most I ever do while sleeping is snore!

Machias Banshee
02-25-2002, 04:42 PM
 My brother does that! brings the whole house down! hehehe...

Yeah, that and the random ESP get really annoying. (I swear i am NOT joking!)

azure turtle
02-25-2002, 04:47 PM
ESP? You can read minds? Wow, I thought that Miss Cleo was the only one who could do that...

Machias Banshee
02-25-2002, 04:50 PM
Not reading minds, but seeing stuff before it happens. TWA flight 800, for example, i saw one month before it happened. Now im trying to figure out if a certain dream said something about sept. 11th. it gets depressing...

azure turtle
02-25-2002, 04:54 PM
Wow, that's freaky. It reminds me of that movie, "Final Destination." It was kind of cheesey, but it scared me almost out of my shell (not the movie, but the concept behind it). But don't be bummed out, Machias! It could always fall under coincidence.

Machias Banshee
02-25-2002, 05:01 PM
Not 30 incidents since fifth grade...

azure turtle
02-25-2002, 05:06 PM
Are you serious?! Damn.....I really don't know what to say. I've had nightmares before, things that I thought would happen, but they never did. I'm very sorry to hear about that, Machias. Maybe you do have ESP. I remember reading a book about such strange things happening...the author was convinced that ESP exists in all humans, but it's stronger in some. Perhaps your mind can pick things up that others can't.

Machias Banshee
02-25-2002, 05:09 PM
Yeah, but its the useless stuff that gets annoying sometimes, like knowing what songs are gonna play on the radio next, knowing what someones gonna say.My brother has bouts of deja vu too.

azure turtle
02-25-2002, 05:13 PM
Hmm...I've had bouts of de ja vu too. But I don't know what the mean, so I often disregard them. This looks like a case for Skully and Mulder....

Machias Banshee
02-25-2002, 05:20 PM
I think everyone has the ability as well, its just some people dont believe in it, so it doesnt occur for them. Some think that they might be thought of as crazy, so they say nothing. No one knows what the human mind is capable of doing.

azure turtle
02-25-2002, 05:27 PM
That's very true. We only use a small percentage of our brains. Who knows what would happen if people learned how to tap into the rest of their minds. The mind is powerful, but there is always possibility for more power.

Machias Banshee
02-25-2002, 05:32 PM
yeah, never underestimate the power of the mind.

No kidding! Tonight I had a guy accuse me of scratching part of his watch when I was trying to put a new pin in it. Fact is, I noticed the scratches when I started, but I didn't mention it to him because I didn't think it was worth mentioning. They most likely happened when the original pin got broken and the metal band got pulled out of place. I tried to explain to him exactly what I did and how I couldn't have created the damage, but he accused me of talking down to him. The guy was just being a jerk about the whole thing. I know that supposedly "the customer is always right", but I refuse to admit to something I didn't do.

azure turtle
03-11-2002, 12:39 AM
Total bummer, dudette. Some people are just down right jerks. Gotta watch out for them. But at least you don't have to deal with customers for a while. 'Tis a day for rejoicing

Skeletoncrew
03-11-2002, 12:49 AM
Well, I still have to last a couple weeks. I'm sure I'll make it though. At least people like that are good for laughs. I had one guy last week who was drinking Nyquil while I helped his wife. (And no, he didn't appear to be sick...but I practically got drunk off his breath!)

azure turtle
03-11-2002, 01:11 AM
 Drunk off of Nyquil?! Wow, that dude must've had some serious problems. And how could he drink that stuff? Isn't it supposed to taste bad?

Kali
03-11-2002, 12:21 PM
*cringe* It tastes HORRIBLE! But heck, it has alcohol in it, what do you expect?

Skeletoncrew
03-11-2002, 01:30 PM
I work in "the ghetto of Wal-marts", I deal with drunks, tweakers, and other icky types on a near-daily basis.

Machias Banshee
03-11-2002, 01:31 PM
Im back! I ended up withdrawing from the class. I didnt like it, but i didnt have a choice. It was a lose/lose situation, but i digress...

Nyquil?! im having the guys use that on Splinter so they can go out for a night on the town in a story im planning to write!

Kali
03-11-2002, 01:35 PM
Gah! Drugging sensei is not good. The night out better be worth it.

Skeletoncrew
03-11-2002, 01:38 PM
 I'm having a hard time picturing Splinter and alchohol together. I'm also having trouble seeing Leo being in on that! Hah! Now you've got me thinking about the "Drunken Master" movies.

Machias Banshee
03-11-2002, 01:39 PM
Oh, it will be! they just wont suspect that they had put too much in, allowing the sensei to figure out what was going on, and fake the drugging.

They'll be in for a nasty lil' surprise when im through with them!

hmmm...too bad we couldnt use that in as the forum turns, then we could make the outcome better...

Kali
03-11-2002, 01:41 PM
You mean a happy soap opera ending? Do those exist? Where's the fun in that?

Machias Banshee

Kali
03-11-2002, 01:53 PM
Well, Mike and Don are kinda looking for you, maybe you could talk them into something.

Skeletoncrew
03-11-2002, 01:55 PM
Tsk. Trying to get them into more trouble? Actually I think they owe you two some R&R. You guys got a bit roughed up!

Machias Banshee
03-11-2002, 01:55 PM
Yeah, cuz i have a feeling Leo and Raph arent gonna be able to get out for a while, for the fighting, assaults, and general chaos. I'll get over there and let myself get discovered by Don and Mike...

Kali
03-11-2002, 01:57 PM
Yeah, I've still got bruises, though I wish I could say they all came from the fight. I'm in a sappy romantic mood today, so I don't wanna fight anymore.

Machias Banshee
03-11-2002, 01:59 PM
woah. Yeah, the right side of my face is red and sore from Leo. Hmmm... I think he needs a few extra lessons in anger management.

Skeletoncrew
03-11-2002, 02:00 PM
Make love not war! Ha ha ha. I'm not sure what kind of mood I'm in today. I called in sick to work...got a cough and a stuffy head. I only worked 5 hours yesterday and it hurt to talk by the end of that. No way I could handle 8 hours today!

Kali
03-11-2002, 02:00 PM
Though I think this pushed him a little far. Could you really blame him?

Machias Banshee
03-11-2002, 02:01 PM
well, he should learn to control his anger, he IS the leader AND the eldest son/brother, so he has to set an example. We should be nice and sneak them out for some fun.

Skeletoncrew
03-11-2002, 02:02 PM
Not really. That was a VERY evil thing to do to him. One thing I never got though. Why'd he retreat the shower with a couple of the mags?!

Machias Banshee
03-11-2002, 02:04 PM
Locking himself up int the bathroom with them would look even worse, dont you think?

Kali
03-11-2002, 02:06 PM
Heh heh, evil minds would wonder. Actually, he ripped/crumpled up most of them, then retreated to hide his embarressment, I guess. Don would know what his original reaction was.

Machias Banshee
03-11-2002, 02:09 PM
Well, it wasnt too pleasant, considering his arm still hurts...

Gutter? Geez, try coming down into the sewer sometime! I always wanted to use that in a story.

Machias Banshee

I have a little thing for fur and leather. I think mink coats are over the top, and I don't approve of cruelty to animals; but ooohhh...I LOVE their fur (both on and off them). This may be part of why I have a thing for Splinter. Nice man, soft furry, chest to snuggle against...

That's why I try and have a few chapters written before posting a story in case I hit a "block", for insurance. However, sometimes...*glares at Legacy*

Broken links on my art...? Where? I had gone through and fixed it up some more a few weeks back when uploading the Fan Art awards.

Oh well, I presently suffer from lacking time to properly maintain it. However, the work PC I used to use to web design is working again. Maybe I'll be able to do that again.
