When will they air the lost season on TV? Also, any news on The lost season on DVD?

The third Saturday of February, I think. According to the schedule they're airing the last batch of FF and they should be done with that by early Feb unless they do something stupid...

Season 2 Part 1 comes first. Let's stay calm until then.

Man I hope that isn't just fan made or I'll cry.

Recently a previously undiscovered vault has been found at the 4Kids headquarters. And what we found inside will amaze you. Thirteen of the Lost TMNT Episodes were unearthed.

To celebrate this new discovery, we are going to begin airing these Lost Episodes starting on February 9th. Until then, log onto 4Kids.tv and check out the trailer for the Lost Episodes and find out what’s in store for the Turtles and for all of you viewers. It’s about to get exciting in here!

Or maybe it is legit! Yeah!

Edit 2: 13? Is Ninja Tribunal gonna be lumped into that? If so would this be as "Never Before Seen" as the 4 episodes on the Season 1 OT DVD release.

I'm on the 4Kids website right now.

They posted the names of the Season 5 episodes.

And the description of Shredder sounds more like the original Oroku Saki than like Ch'rell.

So hopefully it IS true!

I truly cannot wait.

And Jester, since there is a glimpse of the wooden warriors who whupped up on the guys in Ninja Tribunal-- I am guessing YES, that episode will be shown again!

That was probably the best preview for any TMNT epic I have ever seen. I seriously cannot wait for this to take place, and even though I've already seen them, I'm going to DVR them so I can go back and watch them over and over and over. The Lost Season was probably the best season of TMNT by FAR. I can't WAIT for them on DVD. In all honesty, it's like the Lost season really did tie-up the whole 2K3 saga and FF - 2K8 are just whole new beginnings...

Wow that was a well done preview! It makes it feel like an epic animated movie. Watching 4 kids today I just saw the commercial about the lost episode being in a vault that was in the building fire. The made the clips looks grainy and showed a double screen as if they had to restore the footage before they could show it. That preview that Roseangelo posted kicks the butt of what I saw today though

I think it's the first one. If they never finished Nightmares Recycled, I very SERIOUSLY doubt that they'd have the time to do that, even if they had the inclination to (which we ALL know that they DON'T). And even IF they DID, the idiots on Fox's so-called "Standards and Practices" Board probably STILL wouldn't let them. (Although, given some of the crap thart Fox airs these day, I was QUITE shocked to find that Fox even HAS any "Standards". But I digress.)

Seriously, though, THANK you for posting that preview in YouTube, whoever did it (Rosie, if it was you, I love you!). For some weird reason, I can't get the Preview thing at 4Kids website to work right.

But I MUST say, I am TOTALLY stoked for this! I, like so many have waited AGES for these eps to air, and now they are! SWEET!!!!!:D

And they start airing on my 51st birthday, too! DOUBLE-sweet! Talk about a splendiferous b-day present! (And for the record, YES, I KNOW that THEY don't know that it's my birthday that day. I just think that it's MEGA-cool that it came OUT that WAY!;):D:lol:)

Oh, and I really, really, REALLY hope that they run THAT preview next Saturday! I WANT it ON tape, DVR AND DVD, dang it!:D

Heh, yeah. Like Pute said, it was a big anime rip-off. I thought it just got so mystical and melodramatic that it bored me. I hate the idea of "saving the world" and "the worst evil the world has ever known" and things like that. In fact, I'd rather watch Fast Forward, although the Lost Season did have better character designs and stuff.

All the extra characters took development away from the main ones. Leo was the only Turtle who I really thought developed any further.

Still, I'm glad they are airing it! Ho yeah. More Turtles!

ZariusTwo
01-27-2008, 05:04 PM
The Lost Season really is more of an epilouge to the Turtles development up until that point, everything they had been trained to do under Splinter etc, culminates in it. TLS was all about action

Awesome preview! Thanks Rose! Can't wait to record the eps for my own now to watch again and again, though I really want that LS DVD to just go ahead and come out. It had better be May 20th!

BUT TMNT ARE BACK! WOOOOHOOOO!

Here's a cool fanmade LS vid (not mine) I've been watching lately that has whet my appetite as well:

You forget that kid's programming has more regulations and rules on it than a 0 down, 0 a month for the first 3 months financing at a shady car dealership. You can have shows where people are strapped to lie detectors and then screw each other (in both sense of the word), but you try to mention Siamese twins on a kids' show, then you have to crush that under your feet. Welcome to American television.

Anyway, I guess the info I had was wrong. Maybe they didn't decide to do this until a couple weeks ago. When first I head, the plans were March at the earliest. And while a lot of people watched them online, and a lot of people watched them on Demand, there are some of us who actually wanted to wait to see the show as it aired, so there would be a reason to watch its official run.

Just found THIS at the official website:

"4Kids has posted the on-air promo trailer for "Ninja Tribunal" on their TMNT page: www.4kids.tv ."

"The "Ninja Tribunal" episodes begin airing in the USA on February 9th at 10:00 AM! Fast Forward repeats will continue to air at 9:30 AM - check your local listings!".

(This will be "Fast Forward" at 8:30 AM and "Ninja Tribunal" (looks like that IS what it's going to be called) at 9 AM for me. Being in Missouri, that will be Central Standard Time.)

So now we know the time-period that it will be in, AND that there will STILL be a TMNT hour-block. VERY good.

Anyway, I can-NOT wait til the 9th for the NEW eps to start! You can be MY clock will be set for the proper time to get up to watch them!:D:lol::D

(And YES, I said "THEM". Gotta have my Turtles-fix...no matter WHAT the show is!)

EDIT:Oh, and I was just curious about what the meaning of part of the FIRST paragraph is (the bit that's confusing me is in UNDERLINED, BOLD type):

Does THAT mean that the promo trailer that's airing on the 4KidsTV TMNT page WILL air on THIS Saturday morning, and maybe on Saturday, Feb. 9th, too? I sure hope so, but maybe I'm MIS-reading this. Help?

No. I have been using this screen name for a couple of years now (from back on the old 4kids.tv forums) as well as on the new one and a few of the Chaotic forums (official and fan sites). I've had my own Cartoon Orbit (now just "cartoons") group on Yahoo going on 7 years now, so I kinda know where to go and who to talk to when looking for cartoon info.

I thought they said in Murph's blog that NECA wasn't happy about the leaks of the prototypes and such..?

Yeah, because they made a deal with a smaller toy collector publication (than the more mainstream ToyFare) to reveal all the details, all the while as a last ditch effort to have people buy a print medium comprised of mostly old protos everyone has seen before.

I will say, I'm kind of offended no one from NECA has decided to post here and comment on the toys themselves, while taking fan suggestions.

tortugapower
02-05-2008, 11:38 AM
After reading through his blog... I dunno it seems like they (4kids at least not sure about Imagi/Neca) wanted to restrict the timing of when images and details appeared rather than whether or not they appeared at all. (If neca had made a deal with a publisher then certainly that should be honored, whether or not "Print is dead" or not)

4Kids is, for all intents and purposes, is a kids site, so i would think they had no intention of replacing the function of his personal blog. However, don't you think this stuff should be available on the Mirage/4Kids site first rather than one of it's employees personal ad-supported blogs?

Also, I think attacking Mirages business partners so publicly, especially as an employee, seems a little bizarre. How does that benefit TMNT in any way, couldn't the problem have been vetted behind closed doors beforehand. Kind of dirty laundry in public... and no one wins, especially us - all we can so is sit here getting mad about something we don't have any control over.

Oh and as unspectacular as the 4kids blog is at the moment it makes perfect sense to post Lost Episode material now since that is what they are currently airing. At least they are doing SOMETHING. I feel like 4Kids used to treat the turtles like a red headed step child despite it being it's highest rated show.

That last line is why I'm staying neutral on the situation. Pointless battle... And, I hope you didn't mean that Mr. Murphy was attacking Mirage's partners. Revealing that they aren't gods isn't attacking. I mirror that particular inclination toward demystification.

Stabbed through the heart? Given that it's still breathing, I hardly think so.

While it's a pity about the new restrictions on Murphy's Blog, I have to say I'm liking 4kids' quite a bit so far. The artwork is nice, the writing is innoffensive (I'm not hoping anything more, given that I'm not the blog's audience), and I love that they're putting up some music (even though my computer is too slow for me to listen to it properly). Best of all is finally seeing official spellings for some character names, particularly Faraji, who's name I've seen spelled in every possible manner. Now all that's left to see is if they can keep this level of content up, and if the questions they end up answering are good ones.

The people that they will get to ask ?'s at the 4kids site will not be as hardcore as some of us here. I think that most people here at the Drome have a lot of knowledge of our green boys. The people that they will get there will not be as educated, if you will, as most are here. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if 4kids plants a few of their own questions based off of our ideas at Murphy's blog. Btw Putre, good question to ask. Maybe we should flood their question box with that exact question lol

They made a huge deal about some one who works for mirage who was sharing things with this fan base, then they go and do it and they talk down to people becase they think their entire fan base are children...
Also they are showing crap I myself and I'm sure others have seen before and not on Murphys blog but from other artists who have worked for 4kids.
None of this stuff they are showing is new.
And ok if it's not a stab in the heart it's most def. a stab in the back, it's not like they where even trying before this.
I pretty much think they saw Murphs blog and said to them selves oooo that is a great idea lets tell him to stop and steal the idea.

It'll prolly be rigged or the questions will be as stupid as the topics from their message board members over there.
Um which turtle be the purple one?
Does Splindert have a gurls friendz?
Why be shredder an alien?
I'm sure that's the kind of lovely fan questions they'll get since they think that's the kind of fans they have..and sadly the message board of there seems that way.

That's great! If anything will convince 4Kids that we're worth pursuing as an audience, it's acting like immature dicks. They're not going to listen and it's not going to make them have a better opinion of us, so why mess with them? The only thing you'll gain is that fleeting sense of satisfaction one gets by acting like a bully.

Yes they probably are getting allot of satisfaction for acting like bullies over at 4kids.
The point is Big Bad Wolf is that they don't give 2 craps in the first place, they never listend to start with and they will continue to do what they want to until Peter Laird puts his foot down.
Btw trust me what I wrote to them was written properly not as I put it here.
But you know damn well they watch this site, and that my comments are hardly even harsh next to some of the crap said here.
Our anger should show them how much we care reguardless, and mine was said well enough and to the point.

I am a member at the 4Kids Forums, and I agree. Most of the topics there can be quite dumb. I just look for relevant topics, which there are few. I will be looking at this new blog and new page just to check it out. If they did this to screw Murphy, then they suck. I think the problem was that they didn't like the fact that Murphy was leaking info about the new season with the animation stuff. Even though he didn't talk about the season itself, they were probably upset that he leaked anything at all. You know how secretive they've been. Remember when there used to be spoilers for episodes at the official site, and then that stopped?

I'm not sure I'll be getting the lost season considering I already got it bootlegged. But I'm still getting the season RE-releases. Thanks 4kids for making a bootlegger out of me(and I'm sure quite a few other fans for changing the direction of the show without finishing the original direction)

That particular cover art is by Emilio Lopez. That is not actually the finished version! He's awesome. He has also worked on a number of Chaotic trading cards.

His blog is here: http://e-mannland.blogspot.com/

As for the other covers:

Fast Forward Pt.1 - Khary Randolph

Fast Forward Pt.2 - Adrian Barrios with colors by Jimmy Tran

TMNT Season 1 Pt.1 - Khary Randolph

TMNT Season 1 Pt.2 - Roughs by Ed Nebres, Inked by Emilio Lopez and Colors by Jimmy Tran

Season 2 Pt.1 - Adrian Barrios, Inked by Emilio Lopez and colors by Jimmy Tran

Adrian is character designer on the show. Ed, a storyboarder. Emilio and Jimmy are both colorists. Khary is freelance but does a ton of stuff for TMNT as well as Chaotic. Don't let titles fool you though everyone seems to do a bit of something else around here!

Ah yes, Steve Murphy brought him up before I just wasn't aware thanks for the quick answer though.
He really is a talented artist, it's nice to see some care finally being put into a turtles product, people would really like to see interviews and behind the scenes stuff though.

Very nice stuff, I have to say though the show is lacking a certain creative charm that the 80's and 90's turtles had, I'm mostly talking about the design of mutants and aliens whenever we see them are pretty lame.
I'm aware that 4kids & Playmates wanted to have some old school characters but Peter Laird keeps turning anything interesting and creative down.
Quite frankly that's why I've enjoyed Fast Forward more than anything else, the story's may be a bit watered down compared to past season but it sure is a heck of allot more creative then anything I've seen before that in the 2k3 series.
Thanks again your prompt replies are very much appreciated here
Khary's site: http://www.kharupt.com/
I've enjoyed his artwork, and loved his battle nexus art work for the dvd.
I also he did the artwork for the Fast Forward Box art for Playmates toys yes? Loved that also, I really miss the days when each toy had artwork of it's own on the front of the box, that sure would stand out in todays action figure market.
Jimmy's: http://nexxorcist.deviantart.com/
His cover art is amazing I'd love to see him do more his style seems very versatile, which is a great thing!

I what now? o.O

"The Lost Episodes" bring back a lot of characters from the Turtles' past; unfortunately, however, not Usagi. No doubt, though, he will turn up somewhere, sometime in the Turtles' future. In fact, you can count on it!

o.o Does this confirm Space Usagi as still appearing?

Agreed about the old school DVD covers. Clip art and style guide pretty much ruled the releases. I did like the Pizza cover one though. And I give'em credit for trying to get Ryan Brown on board with the latest one (shame they didn't. It's not that good). But this really looks explosive. Hey. I might just buy a second DVD and frame the art. Or find a way to make a poster of it or something.

I love the art, just as I love the art from the new season releases...

HOWEVER! There is one thing about it, that is inconsitant with season 1, parts 1&2, and season 2 part 1, which I hope someone reading here that is involved can suggest. It is missing the line at the bottom stating what season it is (should be labled season 5, or at least have the black line at the bottom.) Also missing, is the box in the top left corner stating 2 discs, 12 or 13 episodes.

I also hope it has a black spine, like the new season releases, so it will look awesome when bookshelfed after all the releases are out.

If you (TMNT4kids,) or someone else reading this could make sure those make it, this is top notch work yet again. I know it sounds like a minor nitpick, which it is, but these consistancies, would make the whole collection look kick butt.

When my movies come out on DVD, and if they are sequels, their spines are going to match as best as possible for those who love showing off their bookshelf collection of movies.

TMNT fans B1tch and moan because they know 4kids/foxbox could have gotten things right the first time when they released the dvds. They have every reason to be unhappy now that they have to double-spend their hard earned money for the new re-releases. Who would be happy if almost everything placed in front of them was crap? But at least they are doing things right this time...although they COULD have released an entire season together.

All I can remember was that a while back everyone was complaining about the Lost Season and the dvds issue and they had every reason to. But I can't say anything about the other general complaints you mentioned since I don't come to these boards often. So I obviously didn't scroll around too much. Heck, these general complaints could be a few threads below and I didn't even see them. :o

I hope after the logo and titles are added that it will match the current season releases.

- Black Spine saying Season 5 (to match my season sets when bookshelfing)

- Black bar at the bottom saying season 5

- Comic style panel on the top left corner stating 2 discs 13 (or 12 if they actually put Ninja Tribunal back on season 4 when it eventually re-releases)

Then this will truly be an awesome set. One worth showing off on my bookshelf.
