TMNT fantasy tag tourney...

Hey all. Since I'm a huge fan of wrestling, I thought for fun that I'd mix wrestling with our favorite mutant turtles. I decided to a fantasy tag team tourney, featuring characters from the Mirage/Image series, and from the old cartoon and movies. Also, the turtles used in this tourney are the bad ass, Mirage turtles. Anyways, the tourney will be composed of 32 different tag teams, barring that there's enough characters for that many. To decide the teams, I'd like for you guys out there to throw some out. I'll give you some examples: some teams we could see are Raph/Mike, Leo/Don, Splinter/Casey Jones, Metalhead/Slash, Tohka/Razar. Or, if we want to stray away from the norm, we could see teams lile Shredder/Splinter, Mikey/master Tatsu, Mondo Gecko/Foot Soldier. So, just throw some teams out, so we can get this thing started.

I don't know how well this would work.... the turtles were trained to fight without any inhibitions. In wrestling, there are definite rules that limit what you can and cannot do. In addition, the turtles were trained to fight to survive.... not win tourneys. There is a HUGE difference.

Bah, im ramblin'. Sounds like a fun idea, anyways.

Well, the rules wouldn't be wrestling rules persay. It wouldn't take place in a wrestling ring. I should've probably called it a 2-on-2 tourney, where anything goes, to see who would be the toughest team in the turtle-verse.

I think it sounds like a cool idea, but how will this work? Will the matches be decided by voting?

Azure, you've always known that I was a wrestling fan myself (though I'm mad I lost my World Title in my Efed... *sniffles* :cry: ) Anyway... I would definitely love to do this. And welcome... you are one of the many huge fans of wrestling combined with the Ninja Turtles. Don't worry about Rezronite... he will soon come to the dark side... :lol: Or, maybe not, :roll: Anyway... I'll be part of it.

So.... it wouldn't be wrestling per se...... but rather, survival matches, neh?? I don't see why they would do such a thing unless they were forced to or tricked into doing it......

in any event, if it did take place, i don't think it would be fair to have splinter on anyone's team.... he would give them an unfair advantage. set aside that, I think the Mike and Raph team would end up winning.

To answer someone's question, yes, it'll be decided by voting. it's up to you guys and your opinion of which team would rule the world :wink: . Anyways, I'll think up the teams later today, then post the first round brackets.

...and finally, Round 1 of the tag team tourney. I've now decided to only make it a 16 team tourney, far less the originally planned 32 team tourney. Anyways, here are the brackets.

Match 1: Donatello/Casey Jones vs. Rocksteady/Bebop

Match 2: Raphael/Triceraton vs. Chrome Dome/Metalhead(Archie version, BTW)

Match 3: Tokka/Rahzar vs. Shredder/Rat King

Match 4: Wingnut/Slash vs. Leonardo/Mikey

Match 5: Pimiko/Renet vs. Venus/Mona Lisa

Match 6: Bloodsucker/Wyrm vs. Mondo Gecko/Leatherface

Match 7: Usagi/Panda Khan vs. Dragonlord/Master Tatsu

Match 8: General Tragg/Chote vs. Baxter Stockman as fly/10 mousers :P
