Puter suggested this be made it's own thread, so here it is. The samples will probably be available shortly.

..."Before Mickey gets his way...", he's probably going to rickroll the theme song, the lazy git

I hope they at least have some decent choices.
And we need to not let 5 year olds choose the theme like I siad before.

I'm surprised 4kids is even doing this. Since when did they care about giving fans the choice about something?

I'm thinking the same thing, Disney did this with the cover to muppet show season 2 box set and they ended up choosing the one they wanted anyway.
Perhaps they're just trying to please us or think they're doing things so we will all shut up about what a crappy job they're doing.

4kids has done a similar thing before. Remember a little bit ago they had fan votes for "Turtles Best Ally", "Best Invention", "Scariest Monster" and stuff like that. I couldn't believe one or two of them that won, but it might have been real.

Sorry gotta dissagree I think 2k3's theme was less berable than FF was.
I can't say I like theme songs that count...but they're both pretty crappy.
The FF theme just seems a bit more modern to me and more fitting..
The 2k3 theme should have been something along the lines of simple music like batman the animated series had, or a darker song, the song was way to goofy for the tone the show set.

ToTheNines

Yeah, neither one of them are very good songs at all. But Fast Forward is a much better representation of the actual product.

Theme songs really aren't that big of a deal, it pissed me off when people used to site the fact that the OT theme song wasn't re-hashed with the NT as a large factor in why they didn't like it (recently a kid told me he didn't like the new MOVIE because it didn't have the OT theme song).

(Putrescent, I disagree with you regarding the 2k3 theme. The melody and the chords and how the song moves is actually pretty good compared to FF -- the arrangement is tasteless. It's like happy flappy the magic squirrel trying to play hardcore. He can't do it. He can only play happy flappy style, which is why FF's theme ends up sounding more natural.)

I'm gonna vote next weekend... though we'll probably be grossly outnumbered by the little people. I hope there'll be an instrumental (non-vocal) option, one that isn't 100% synthesized, and if it is, one that is decent... Time and time again, the lyricists at 4kids have proven themselves incapable.

If they all stink to hell, then it's a sign I need to be a music composer.

As far as the first 2003 theme, after watching the DVD I actually like the version at the end credits without the lyrics. If they had just used that for the beginning and end the opening sequence would be more tolerable.

Fledermaus
02-23-2008, 09:26 AM
Exactly. If they can't get the music right, then they should forget the damn lyrics for a while. Bad lyrics will only work if the song is great by itself. Which we know probably won't happen.

I have to say it, but the FF theme song was 1 million times better then the 2k3 theme.

First off the song had everything to do with the situation they were in.

There was no -

when all else fails it's time to kick butt. Now that line sounds like it came from my five year old.

LOL @ never fight unless someone else starts. I'm sorry but the old theme to 2k3, (pre season 3,) just sucked, and smelled of kid antics. I suppose they did it to appeal to the kids though.

However when they started introducing the Turtles starting with season 3, it was a bit better, save for Mikey doing his little dance, and saying, off rythm, "we shredded Shredder," which again sounds like something a kid wrote.

The FF theme was very catchy in that it lost most of the kiddy lines to sing of the situation the Turtles were in.

Agreed. But, in defense of the line by Mikey, that was appropriate as it was obviously supposed to sound like a kid (Mikey) wrote it.

FF's theme wasnt really any better or worse, in fact the lyrics screamed "force this status quoe down your throat", and no season, good or bad, should do that.

At least the first theme was vauge and didnt say anything concrete about what was in it, but FF told you that being in the future was "good times" and telling people to "just stick around", when preparing the viewer to RAISE expectations which may or may not be met.

...Plus it was gay. Let's not forget gay.

It is, but you still have to back up that opinion with facts, that's all.

I agree that the 2k3 theme got better when they added the character intros, I'd even go so far as to say that having Karai replace Saki in the "Watch out for Shredder" made for the best theme (I also added the original lyric back on top of Karai's reading and it made for the ultimate 2k3 theme) and I agree that >> was better, only because it matched the theme and style of the series. It was silly and kiddy, but so was >>.

Yeah, I liked the actual tune of the 2k3 song (Fled did a piano arrangement once that shows it actually works as a jazzy instrumental) but the lyrics and singing both bring it to earbleeding-ness.

Hopefully though, this "choosing" whatever will help them pick the new song that sucks the least. I think it's a bit too much to hope that any of them will actually be good.

I did like the original 2k3 theme before it was altered twice in season 4...but what I'd really like to see from 2k3 if we're gonna get a new theme is a pure instrumental theme.

We don't get too many cartoons that just have music and no lyrics for the opening credits.

Ok check out the lyrics that was posted above. I will break this down, and tell you as to why it totally relates to the show at hand.

It’s Ninja Time!

Four Teenage Turtles surfed in
On a wave from the past,
It’s like the future’s a party
That these brothers just crashed.
Don’t know when they’ll go home,
How long the good times will last,
But just stick around and see
These Turtles go...

This first verse is what I like the best. It lets everyone know why they are in the future and why things changed. It also has the humor of a TMNT cartoon of sorts, with its inuendos alluding to point of >>... The Turtles did indeed ride in from the past in some form. They did indeed crash the party (future,) especially making life hell for Biggles, Serling, and Dunn. They don't know when they will go home, or how long the good times will last (how many battles they run into with villans,) and telling the viewer to stick around to see what happens in this show. Very well written.

FAST FORWARD
Leonardo! Donatello!
FAST FORWARD
Raphael! Michelangelo!

Just like 2k3 Season 3-4, introducing the Turtles is not only nostalgic to the old TMNT theme, but can remind people which Turtle is which, specially the little ones.

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES
FAST FORWARD!
TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES

It’s Ninja Time!

THANK GOD I DIDN'T HERE NO "NEVER FIGHT UNLESS SOMEONE ELSE STARTS," "ALWAYS STICK TOGETHER NO MATTER WHAT," AND FINALLY, "IF ALL ELSE FAILS THEN IT'S TIME TO KICK BUTT." If what fails? This is a kids cartoon not an ad on how to resolve conflict by shaking hands and trying to walk away. The 2k3 theme is a contradiction to what the TMNT show stands for. When do Ninjas walk away without a fight? Wouldn't that make each episode of TMNT pointless, and dull? Say it when they actually do try everything else but to fight. This Chorus above is STRIGHT TO THE POINT!

This future stuff is so strange,
Time can get rearranged,
But the more that things change
The more they also stay the same.
Still kickin’ butt
And playin' video games,
They're drivin' everyone nuts
This future's really insane!

The future would be strange, to people from the past, specially if Aliens lived on Earth. Time can get rearranged (wonder if this line alludes to the fact that things will be different in the past or future from when the Turtles do return. The more things change, the more they stay the same (always a villan to fight, and a world/people to save.) Still kickin butt alludes to the fact they do always fight and not try everything until all else fails, and yes Mikey loves games. They drive Serling up the wall, and a future where Bishop is president is insane.

Yea, the lyrics fit the situation more. It's like rap... Can't have a rapper talking about working on the farm, raising his cattle. It's all about the bling, being up in the club, getting their freak on, and how many females they take home, and the 40's they drink.

For once since an old 80's cartoon does its opening allude to the show its based on. I like this. However, I like the 2k3 theme post season 2, but still not better then the FF theme, and I hope to god, they put as much thought into the new song, as they did with the FF theme.

EDIT: Oh and I know people will say I am overanalyzing, but it's just like Sydney (Wesley Snipes,) said in White Men Can't Jump, when Billy (Woody Harrelson,) was listening to Jimmy Hendrix, "see you aren't hearing Jimmy." Sometimes you gotta listen to the words, then you are truly hearing the music.

Yea, it's easy to comprehend. However, being a screenwriter, I love to write... Or in this case, type.

as for listening to certain people... If those are rap artists, then I believe there are only a handful (if that,) of rappers who I consider to be real. You know, ones who tried stating that street life is tough, and a means to get away from it all. You know, people like Tupac, Biggy, and especially DMX, who clowns rappers who only talk about the things I listed in their songs, and finally - in some cases - Ja Rule.

Well it is a kids show, and every kids show theme outside of something like Batman: TAS, or Justice League (no lyrics,) will sound kiddy to an extent.

I was just shocked as FF episodes kept coming on, as to how much the lyrics fit the show, which I hadn't heard in a long time.

I do agree with your last statement a bit though Gobo, it does deal with kid antics, because it a kids show, it just didn't feel like its lines were written by someone - like say - my five year old son. Not like we have giant Turtles fighting in real life... Or do we *cue X-Files music.*

Well, I can't say they make great theme songs, but I can't say that they always make terrible ones. I actually prefered their Kirby theme to both Japanese ones (the first one was cute, but the second sounded like every Engrish J-pop technojunk animes had recently). And I feel their Ultimate Muscle theme really had the spirit of American wrestling... though the Japanese first opening is the most righteous piece of air guitar fodder I've ever heard. The Winx club one was outright sexist. And the Sonic X one wasn't that good either.

I will say, I do enjoy the 2k3 theme. is it as good as Chuck Lorre's 1980's theme? not by a long shot. FF really just screamed, "This is the premise, these are the characters. Do you remember? Just in case you forgot it from last time, here you go!" A lot of cartoon themes do that, yes, but this one was pretty generic.

The original lyrics to the 2k3 theme where they didn't mention the characters by name was very interresting. But when they changed it to "This is the turtle, this is his personality" times four, I felt it got weak.

Hah! I was kidding too. I really should have gone into the fact that 90% of anime themes are techno (not really, but it sure feals that way) as a gag.

Of course, that doesn't mean it wouldn't work or be appripo for a show where they're in a computer.

I'd love to see some movie soundtrack sounding orchestraited opening used at one point, similar to Batman TAS and the Superman show that aired years later. Something dark, yet playful. Or maybe something like Swat Kats...

I'd kill for them to actually splurge and use some famous musician to work on something.

To be honest the 2K3 series theme should have been Batman TAS style. I hope they just use the movie theme as the intro since their pushing to make it more like the film.
Nothing will be even close to B:TAS's equivalent until they learn to draw it on black paper like B:TAS.

I'd have to agree with gobo. While industrial isn't my favorite, it would best fit the series if it is going to take place in cyberworld. Maybe they could get the same composers they used for Batman Beyond. One can only hope.

Well thats pretty much what I was talking about Industrial is a form of electro music. I can think of quite a few bands who have great songs that could be used.

I could see something very 80's-ish used here. I don't know why... well, other than the fact the Turtles are from the 80's...poit... Something sort of akin to Devo, without the lyrics. It's really in the back of my mind. I can picture it, but I can't describe it.

I would say, what would crack me up is if German electronic band "Kraftverk" were to do it.

"Ein Turtles!"

"Kowabunga!"

"Eine Turtles"

"Kowabunga!"

Over and over in the background... :shredder:

Instead there will be 6 theme songs to choose from ;)

I hope all of them sound as good as the FF theme... In other words, thought was put into the lyrics.

If you happen to be apart of TMNT somehow, please just give peeps what they want.

Darker episodes (well darker meaning less bright like FF)
Story archs (multiparters)

I don't mind the new look of the Turtles, but won't Casey and April look so different, it would be wierd to hear their voice actors playing roles of brand new looking people?

By the way, I don't mind the things above like some others do, but I do miss how good the stories of the multiparters were. Oh and how the animation look sped up during fight scenes on episodes like Touch and Go, or very smooth rather. Other then that all seems well, I just hope for some small things.

OH!!! There should be no excuse why Power Rangers can be on the air and Simpsons for almost 15-20 years, but TMNT can't... KEEP THIS SHOW GOING!!! You need new stories, I'm a screenwriter, coming up with stories is a sinch (refering to how easy it would be to come up with stories.)

Do we get 3,000 4kids points for voting??? J/K

I just want something I have the urge to skip or fast forward through when it plays. The 2K3 theme grew on me as it evolved into the later seasons but it is far from my favorite theme. It's a shame cause I loved that series so much

A theme without vocals could be an interesting change of pace...

Six songs? Hm. More to choose from? Increased probability of a song that does not suck? :) Wonder if any of them are non-vocal. Wow, for those of us over the age of 14, wouldn't it be great to have a theme song that doesn't shame us for watching ninja turtles? :D

:( Only problem is I'm still waiting for 4kids to activate my account.... Hope I get to vote in time.

EDIT: And X... you're completely wrong. :) The lyrics in FF were no improvement over those of the previous theme. They sucked just as hard. I don't care if you say you're a screenplay writer. Compared side by side, the lyrics are just as bland, pointless and immature as 2k3's. Let there be NO lyrics for a change, instead have a good, SERIOUS arrangement of a decent tune.

And not that I'd want a TMNT song to sound just like this, but Funky Cops had some unused theme that KICKED ASS. I have the mp3 for it :D So it's not like 4kids can't hire good artists to write themes. But for whatever reason TMNT is consistently short-changed in that area.

That's all a matter of opinion man, Just like I think Master Replicas is doing a Half @ssed job on those Muppets...like the Animal that looks wrong that you're sportin in your avi. The only one I've thought was good so far was Kermit.

man none of them are really bad, but none of them really that great. They are all interesting.

I don't know which one to vote for, to actually vote I'd choose 4, 5 or 6. However those three both have parts that I really like and parts I don't.

The whole "back to the sewers" that most the songs use is rather annoying. 5 Actually uses stuff from the first 2k3 and Fast Forward so i'm inclined for that one for consistency.

After listening to each version tons of times, my final thoughts:

#1 - Its really not bad, I wouldn't mind it as the theme song.

#2 - I don't think its bad, its interesting but not for a theme song pick it.

#3 - Mostly same as above, I like it more than 2 but I wouldn't pick it.

4-6 are what I'd prefer to be chosen.

#4 - catchy and it indeed would go with the "cyber" theme.

#5 - It has traces of the 2k3 and FF theme so I like it a lot for consistency, its good even if it might be the weaker of the last last 3 songs.

#6 - This one pumps me up and still has a "cyber" tone, there is something that bothers me but I can't put my finger on which is the only reason I can't rate it better or worse than #4.

So yeah I'm still conflicted on 4-5-6.

#1 gets a 2/5. I liked the when the dude said a.

#2 gets a 3/5. Guy sounded like he had a lisp pronouncing his s's that way.

#3 gets a 4/5. I am going to lmao if its pick. Its the most inappropriate for the show.

#4 gets a 4/5 since it fits with the theme of the season.

#5 gets a 4/5. Its sort of like a remix of the original 2k3 song.

#6 gets a 2/5. Too weird. It was mixing alien/ufo type music, the sounds of weapons, and a sewerlid falling.

I really hope the kids pick #3.

I vote #3 (being dead serious). If that doesnt win then #5.

Theme 2: A rap theme would work....if it were Partners 'n Cryme's TMNT Rap!

 at 3....yeah I think I made a point when I mentioned theme 2....and we have the Foot and Shredder again...really? That plot hasn't been beaten like a dead horse? Really? :End Seth Myers parody:

Theme 4: Who let Soundwave do a TMNT theme song?

Theme 5: I'm not sure what to say...I think it tried to pull in the old 2K3 theme, is this new series subtitled "Back to the Sewers"?

Jesus Christ... they're all horrible/inappropriate.

The first two are disgusting. The third sounds like something on hip hop R&B radio... actually sounds pretty nice but it's kind of weird when the "turtles" sound like hot black women trying to hit on the viewer...

No4 itself is a nice tune, but again inappropriate for a TMNT show, .

No5 is worse than the 2k3 theme.

And No6 started off good... but it got weird.

And they ALLLLL have crappy lyrics. Except number three. Which should be the opening to The Boondocks.

Strangely, I can see numbers 4, 5, or 6 winning -- not that I like them.

Okay. That's it. I'm gonna crank out a theme for the upcoming show. Maybe I can ask my brother (a jazz artist) to mess around in garage band a little. Then I'll send it to 4kids just to show them how amateurs can come up with something more appropriate and dignified.

#2: No way Jose (and as for Shredder, 3 words, "Let it go")
#3: Maybe an excellent song on the daily radio, though not really befitting the profile of a "TV theme song" (again, Shredder be gone)
#4: Same ballpark as #3
#5: That could work, good for TV or radio (all but the Shredder bit)
#6: Great for radio, so-so for a TV theme

Now that I've had some time to calm down... I listened to them all without turning them off in disgust. Listened to the finalists several times. The winner in my opinion is number six. Even though I don't like the silly lyrics, it does something differently than any turtles series before it.

The tone in the theme is appropriate for the new season, somewhat intense but lively and catchy; it is the least silly AND has the most unique sound out of all the songs. That's important. In fact, if they come up with a good opening sequence it would in some ways be better than the previous themes for the show. One thing I like with the number six is that it does something with the mysterious ninja theme -- sort of a dramatic lure in at the beginning.

Shattered of course when we hear the robots singing "we're BACK. BACK. We're BACK." If only they would make those background voices sound less retarded. Seriously gotta throw in something to balance out the airy "take them by surpriiiiiiiiiiise" (I hate that part).

But I like when they sing "tee-nage mu-tant ninja turtles." The G flat minor 7 to the F7 resolves nicely to the A minor root, which so happens to be the same key as the 2k3 theme.

I wish number six could have been developed a little more. One thing it should adopt from the 2k3 theme is to have some sort of interlude, or "break" from the ongoing theme that moves melodically (or chords) instead of vamping the same chord for eight bars in a row (no layering even, no extensions to make it more interesting). As a result, it's a little more boring than it needs to be.

Regardless, six still has the most merit out of all of them (at least it's a step in the right direction), but number five will probably win because it sounds the most generic/crowd pleasing.

Four is okay by itself, but I think it ditches TMNT in return for cyber-world exclusive. Number six has a good amount both so that I don't forget that this is TMNT. (But God I hate those background voices...)

Plus #4 sounds way too much like Kanye West's take on "Stronger."

Yup. Ditch the lyrics and the Kanye We-er... robot voices, the uber cyber FX and it'd be perfect. Unfortunately, the robot cyber thing is part of the point of that song. :\

We still don't know to what extent this show will devolve into Digi-turds, because if it really is "Teenage Mutant Cyber Turtles" then that would be a most appropriate theme. It even literally says "Cyber shredder" whereas the other themes (that are possibly contenders) emphasize the point that the turtles are simply "back."

Hm.... 4 really does have the best music. I didn't pick it because I didn't feel the Tech Museum theme was appropriate -- however if season eight really is "Teenage Mutant CYBER Turtles" it might as well have a good theme that reflects it.

I kinda wish the MUSIC and instrumentals (even some of the electronic sound) of number four with the more ninjaesque (minus the c-rapping and whining breathy boys and vamping) sound of number six. Egh. We got what we got. An assortment of various degrees of crap from which to choose.

What is this crap? All of the songs suck. Why does the music have to be a requirement of hard rock, metal, or rap? They can make a theme song with music that doesn't sound like Akon or Eminem.

Most of you think the original 2k3 theme is lame, but I'm one of the minority that actually like it. It sounds way better than this... whatever it is.

#1 - 4/10
This one is meh. It is nothing special and the lyrics 'Good to Go' are just dumb.

#2 - 6/10
This song has a niche appeal. I don't think it would catch on with most people. Personally, I think it is the best composed and written song, but it doesn't fit TMNT.

#3 - 7/10
Hilarious! This song would appeal to today's younger audience. However, it's not a good theme song and I can't imagine it meshing with an opening intro. It would be good ending credit music.

#4 - 9/10
I voted for this. The pace of this theme fits well with the action of TMNT. Plus, the techno style fits the anticipated cyber theme of the new season. The lyrics also don't have anything dumb although repeating the words 'Cyber Shredder' several times is a tad... repetitive. This one is also the closest to being hummable and it sounds like stuff popular with kids (Kanye Wests' Daft Punk Remix).

#5 - 5/10
I love how this theme starts. Fast and exciting. Then it just starts repeating 'back to the sewers'. I don't like the way they do it and even if the TMNT being back in the sewers is a big deal it is a first few episode thing. This would be the song for an hour special launching the new season not for the entire new season.

#6 - 9/10
This is my favorite song. I think it starts off bad as* with the sword sound effect. This theme has a cyber feel to it which fits the new season. Plus, it's unique and still good. However, #4 is more appropriate theme wise to what I expect in the new season. I'm also not sure how well this song would go over with kids. It doesn't sound like the stuff they are listening to nowadays. Also, the last few seconds of lyrics in the song aren't good.

What does everyone else think?

Yes the cyber thing is what the entire next season is about du duh duh duh digi-turtles!
Indeed we did or atleast we think we did...like I said I'm still thinking this to be a sceme to make kids and us I guess, think we're helping but when it comes down to it..they know what they're going to use and will use it. It's sort of like voting for the President..
Anyway yeah Viral is suposed to come with them as is Serling (which we don't know about him for sure yet) But there's cyber shredder which we've seen an image of, cyber foot soldier, cyber turtles, and what I believe to be cyber baxter stockman.

Thanks for the links, Rose. There's actually a decent selection to choose from here. Who knew? :P

EDIT: Alright, I cast my vote for #4.

#1 was rather mediocre.
#2 was laughable, to say the least.
#3 Actually had a nice beat and decent lyrics, but it set an edgier tone that I don't think we'll get from this new revamp, so I passed over it.
#5 had a nice driving rhythm that got your attention, though the lyrics were lacking.
#6 Was something I'd never heard before and I really liked it. Had some nice elements.

It was a toss up between #4 and #6, but ultimately, I chose #4 for a few reasons:
~ Nice beat, like #3
~ It's the closest thing to an instrumental that I think we're going to get from 4Kids.
~ If you listen hard enough, the music starts to remind you of the music from the game site, only with a charged-up cyber feel (which is a decent tie-in for the 2007 TMNT game, IMO).

So yeah, there are my reasons. :)

Yeah, thanks a lot Rose. This really makes bashing them...uh, I mean talking about them easier. :)

Theme 1) Sounds like a prep rally to me, but oh well. The wicked guitar solo partually makes up for that. Partially, but not fully.

Theme 2) HAHAHHAHAHHAHAA--good GOD no. Good to laugh at, but no. It's like...they hired Vanilla Ice, Kayne West, and 50 Cent to get into a room together and make...THIS thing. No one vote for that. Please.

Theme 3) Um, again: Vanilla Ice, Kayne West, and 50 Cent got in a room and make this abomination. To be frank, after listening to this thing, I wanted to either curl up in a ball and wait for death to take me, or just smash my monitor. If it did that to me, what the hell will it do to the kids who listen to this thing?!

Theme 4) I think this one suits the theme for the Cyber side of the turtles quite a bit, but really wouldn't pull it off as a theme song. Also, the fact that I swear the voice synthesizer keeps on repeating the phrase "Tighter Shorts" in the middle of the song over and over again just makes me confused and scared. And then laugh out loud due to the sheer stupidity of it all.

Seriously, listen to it. Somebody back me up on this one and reassure me that I'm not hearing things. "T-t-t-i-i-g-ghter shorts." Either that or "Tiger shorts". Just...I don't know. Can anyone else hear it as well?

Theme 5) Kinda cool, but yeah, the repetition is just plain stupid.

Theme 6) Pretty cool. I can see this working with montages, lots of panning shots, and lots of fast images with filters over them. Not the best, but at least it's a welcome change from everything else.

So, I think that I'll go with theme 6. Theme 1 I wouldn't mind, but themes 2 and 3 need to be burnt (the bad kind, not the good kind) into a smoldering heap, mixed with wet cement into concrete blocks, and then the concrete blocks need to be blown up to protect the rest of the world. Theme 5 is just plain stupid, while theme 4 just...um...I don't know.

Seriously...tighter shorts? What the hell?

I love hip-hop so I picked #3

1) 4/5 Pretty good although reminds me of Johnny Test instead of TMNT.

2) 2/5 I love hip-hop but this old school with the mix of new school crap sucks. It sounds like they say do the super worm in it also

3) 5/5 LOL this is awesome giving us a change of pace for themes. I'm not a big fan of rock but not completely turned off by it but I love hip-hop and this is perfect if they finally decide to give us a version like this. I can actually see the opening sequence for this and imagine the guys dancing in the intro when showing each turtles name like a dance contest between them with the calage of action scenes also.

4) 3/5 Fits the season however cyber vioce repeating Tennage Mutant Ninja Turtles is annoying

5) 3/5 Mix style of 2K3 and FF which I would rather stay away from. Not terrible for a theme but I would like to have a change of pace.

6) 4/5 Pretty good beat and would be a good change from what we currently have with 2K3 and FF.

Theme #1
Laughable. Not horrible, but if this were to actually to become the theme, I'd be clawing at my eardrums ever Saturday.

Theme #2
 Tell me this is a joke... It's just too funny. This is slightly better than the Random House TMNT Rap.

Theme #3
For anyone who ever thought it would be cool to have a Top 40 theme like in Japan, this is how you do it. I wouldn't advise it though. I'd be blinded by the bling, yo. O_o And, I'm surprised no one decided to liken the female vocals to Beyonce. That's the first thing I thought... and it gave me nightmares.

Theme #4
Nice... But, I think the kiddos would fall asleep through it.

Theme #5
Now, that's a good, all-inclusive theme. Generic, and enough to jolt kids awake who are still in the grip of sleep.

Theme #6
Also really cool. ^_^ But, again, I think it's too artsy to hold the attention of an audience.

So, I chose #5 because I think it'll do the job best. I'd like to hear 4 & 6 in the show too though.

Firstly, anyone who voted for #3 is a ****-head and has lost all of my repect... I will no longer acknowledge it.

1. Poor attempt at punk rock... not cool with me
2. Last time we had a rap theme song, it was the next mutation
4. Weird, don't like it
5. Corny, but more of what I was expecting... not too bad
6. I sorta liked this one, then the song just had to say that "north south east west" thing. I like some things about it, but the song as a whole just sucks

For God's sakes just like Mike have his way, this is a ****in joke!

TNM was my favorite theme so far (and the part I liked most about the series), but it wasn't rap by a long-shot. Perhaps you were confusing it with the end-theme which actually was hip-hop.

Back to the SEWWWWERRSS is about the dumbest main chorus I've ever heard on either TMNT series

Theme Six has some distinct moments in it that I like...even the "Ninja" part of "'cause Ninja Turtles are best" sounds like a freuiden slip ("'cause N*gga, Turtles are best")

...Turtles.

...Seriously, the theme ends like that.

..."Turtles"

Not even loudly.

..."Turtles"

Masked Ninja
03-01-2008, 01:16 PM
...Hmm.

#1 is kind of what everybody has as their theme song now. It's passable but doesn't stand out. And the phrase "wrecking machine" bugs me for some reason.

*falls over laughing at #2*

#3 is ridiculous too. That bit of female vocals in the middle I like... must be the way they harmonize. But this isn't Turtles at all. Next, please.

Looks like #4 is the closest we get to an instrumental theme, with the only words being "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," "Cyber Shredder," and the standard Turtle rollcall. Since they're repeated, they almost become nonlyrics. Didn't like how all the Turtles get referred to by their full name except "Mikey." I can picture some cool visuals going on to this song, but the constant repetition does get a little grating. Better than the first three, but hoping for better.

#5 is more like the 2k3 theme, for good or ill. I didn't even catch "It's Ninja Time!" on the first listen for some reason. I like how the original 2k3 theme and elements are pulled back in, and it sounds like a song I might be able to handle more than once. Still not that impressive though, and probably less creative because it's a glorified remix, but for continuity purposes I could accept it. It's certainly better than the rap crap in #2 and #3.

#6 I kinda wrote off after the first few notes, but on repeated listenings it is something different and interesting. I like the way the sound effects are used and you could put some pretty cool visuals to that. The lyrics are a bit less painful than most of the others too.

So overall, none of them really hit a sound that excited me. I could deal with any except #2 or #3... but I'm trying to decide what one I'd vote for. #4 is cool, but those digital voice are ech after a while. #6 is cool but also kinda weird. #5 is OK but not too different from what we've had before.

I'm leaning toward #6, though I really do wish we could have a straight-up instrumental, almost movie score theme. Too bad this is 4Kids.

2: This one just says the plot period. Now normally songs like this...but it's a bit...lame..
3: Altho Im not too into Rap..this one seems more adult. I kinda like it "But oh noose!! Splinter got left behind!!"
4: Cyber Shredder?! Meep!! I kinda like it cuz Im into Techno music.
5: Hmm...I like this one too. It's kinda metal-ish. A shame about the "It's Ninja Time"
6: This one is a bit short...but I like it.

There's 3 I really liked but after listening to the songs a couple times, I chose 5...Im hoping 4 or 5 wins really.

I agree on all accounts, Mystic (except that I don't know what an Akon is). All of these themes blow chunks. 5 is the best because it invoked 2k3's theme, but they all just suck so much. Although 4 does kind of remind me of T-U-R-T-L-E Power's chorus... but no... just no. And who the Hell told Eric Stuart he could sing? o.O And Cyber Shredder? I'm a little worried about this whole voting thing... I mean, if 4kids does actually choose whatever the fans pick (doubtful, sure, but if...) I'm afraid that #3 may actually win out. It's easily the worst of the 6, yet it seems that nearly half the comments on the site are raving about how "cool" #3 is. I'm really looking forward to this new season, but if they make #3 the intro, I may very well have to avoid the whole season like it was a spot of poop on the wall.

That said, here are my opinions on the other 5:

1. The beginning sounds like a cheer. The rest isn't bad, but the cheers make me hate this one.

2. I'm sorry, but this song sounds like Weird Al Yankovich both wrote and sung it. It's funny, sure, but no good for a TMNT intro.

4. I love this one. It's simple and as close to a pure instrumental intro as we're ever likely to get. But I'm afraid the young kiddies may get bored with it, so it probably won't become the new intro, unfortunately. I'd really love for this to at least be the end credit theme or something, though.

5. I think this one is most likely to become the new theme. It's as up-beat as the previous two themes and actually sounds like a TMNT theme more than any others on the list. If 4 doesn't win, I really, really hope this one does.

6. I like parts of this one. It has a good mix of mystery and techno and other stuff. I'd be satisfied if this one won.

So, 4, 5, or 6 had better win or else I'll be super peeved. 1-3 are all horrid, but 3 is a nightmare. 4 for the win! But at least if it doesn't win, I've got the mp3 now, so I can play it whenever I want. :)

I don't know. "Maybe if we ignore it, it will go away." Or something like that. Although you wouldn't be able to ignore the smell. :(

I really don't care what the theme song ends up as, to be honest (although that's a bit of a lie, since if #2 or #3 get it, I'm probably going to cry myself to sleep every night). As long as I can see the story it has to tell, see the damage from Fast Forward being undone with characters, and see the series get a good ending, I'll be content.

donatello,leonardo,raphael,michelangelo-lo(?)
gettin ready to deliva, everybody shake yo jiba(?):lol::lol:

#1 sounds like a power rangers theme song

#2 is cool, but its just the same beat and nothin changin

Listened to the themes again. Seriously, if they get rid of all those background voices on #6, and the rapping, it would be great for visual accompaniment, while keeping the cyber/nocturnal ninja element.

I said earlier that I thought five would probably win because it has the most energy. But most of the comments I'm seeing over there are spazzing about how the rap/hip-hop themes are, like, the kewlest $hit ever.

Sure they can pick a song that sounds trendy NOW. But in a few years it will sound outdated and cheesy (in a bad way).

I know, I know. TMNT has prostituted itself countless times already. Why am I complaining?

Because I still cling to the foolish notion, the hope that some day there will be some official incarnation of TMNT that gets it right. I think most of us want an instrumental theme since we know we'll never get more than horrendous vocals. I wonder whether 4kids has ever considered an instrumental for TMNT and what the big taboo is against non-vocals. Not like any of the DC animated shows had trouble attracting child viewers. Or what about the X-Men or Spider-Man theme? Even Eek the Cat, Bobby's World -- there's a plethora of childrens shows for a wide variety of age groups that were highly successful without lyrics.

EDIT: Come on... #3 is a complete joke.

Lil' G, if you look back to some of the earlier pages in this thread, you'll find direct links to the MP3s.

There is nothing "ghetto" about that song, and the beat is straight trash, son. Please consider how embarassing that song will be if it becomes the actual theme song!

Yes, it was some silly 10 second song that I think he was singing in spanish. It could have been a different language but I am not too sure.

Anyway, I still say 5 and 3 are the best. Out of all the other songs 5 gets me pumped up the most. 3 sounds more entertainig and mainstream.

Ew, man. Why would you AVOID that? Wouldn't you wanna clean it up ASAP?

I never said the wall was in my house or anything. Song #3 is like a spot of poop on a wall that I can hopefully just keep on walking past. But yes, it does need to be cleaned up, and by that I mean deleted from existence.

can u plz send me the mp3s

No, Rose posted them back on page 4 of this thread. Go check it out. Also, a bit of advice -- you should avoid posting your email address on public sites because you're just begging for 'bots to send you spam. It's better to PM requests like that.

I am surprised that more people do not like number 1. To me that was the best- catchy, descriptive, upbeat, and overall very fitting. I do not like pep rallies because I was not the popular kid in school- but I still like this song A LOT.

I got tired of rap sometime back in the early 90s. And 2's Turtle descriptions are very much like those in the OT. Which is not bad- but I do not think that a rap theme would be best.

Number 3 is worse than rap- it's hip hop. I KNOW that TMNT takes place in NYC- but this one just will NOT work. Reminds me too much of one of those hip hop songs that degrade women and sex. I don't know how I got through the whole song.

Four is just too odd. Though there is a cyberspace component to this season, this is not what TMNT is all about.

Five is quite good. If 1 does not win, I hope 5 does.

Six is just not fitting for a cartoon meant for kids. Would work better for a show for adults that airs prime time.

Overall- 1 and 5 are excellent, but the rest range from mediocre to downright awful.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope that either 1 or 5 wins.

1- It wasn't too bad, I kind of like it.

2 - No...just...no.

3 - See 2.

4 - See 3.

5 - My second choice if 1 isn't picked.

6 - It's alright. It didn't induce much rage, so third choice if neither 1 or 5 win.

Well, so far the choices aren't terribly good and only three out of the six are actually tolerable. At least in my personal opinion.

The part that makes me laugh about #6 is the line "Back from tomorrow, ready to ssstrike," where on "strike" the singer slurs really badly... especially the second time. He sounds kinda drunk.

Actually, if they put a entire song together that sounds like the first 5 seconds of that theme, it would be nothing short of amazing.

Spitfire

#1 sounds like a crappy punk rock song

#2 is horrid wigger rap that sounds like it was made in some guys basement. "Look out for the Shudder! He can be anywhere" I swear it sounds like he said that, and no I'm not listening to that crap again to confirm it.

#3 What the **** were they thinking when they made this ****? I heard enough of this **** at Best Buy, **** this. If they pick this **** I'm going to throw a brick through a window at the 4Kids headquarters.

#4 "I'm blueda botta beata!" Ugh this ones annoying to. Annoying techno crap, "CYBER SHREDDER!" Ugh. At least it sounds better then the other ones so far, even if it sounds like a bad rave remix.

#5 Another punk rock song, this ones a little better. Sounds like something better suited for a toy ad though. "Back by popular demand" Uh did we really need to add this?

#6 Almost had promise but then it went down the crapper in less then 5 seconds. Ugh seriously horrid, sounds like they put all the previous songs into this one.

They all suck to be honest. I guess #5 is the least annoying I'll vote for that one. Is it THAT hard to top the old school theme? Use the ****ing movie theme anything but #3 honestly.

Apparently so. :ohwell: A bit sad considering they've had about fifteen years to think of another theme to blow the old toon theme out of the water. But then again, this is 4KIDS we are talking about. Like hell they care about what sounds decent or not...

Thoughts-

#1- Could work. Could work. Also needs work. It's pretty repetitive, but catchy... but hate the use of "extreme"

#2- Not so much the rap part that bugs me. The fact they (as Strongbad would say) beat us over the head with the blunt end of the premise. I like a little ambiguity and mystery.

#3- UHHHHH no. No thank you. People seriously hated "Everybody?" Cuz this is much worse. This would work better for "Teenage Mutant Ghetto Booty Turtles" or something. Bet a 40 year old white guy wrote it.

#4- Works. Works great, actually. Would work better without most of the lyrics. If they got rid of the character name recitation, this would be perfect. I see what you mean about electronic music working.

#5- Holy crap. I like this so much, I want to keep it. It really works well, incorporating the 2k3 theme. I wouldn't be surprised if this one makes it.

#6- Pretty good, I like it. I'm guessing the first three were throwaways. I like how the rapping is just riffing, and not some unholy gag to pretend to be cool. Not my favorite, but I really liked this one as well.

So, If I were voting, I'd go 4 or 5. 6 was enjoyable, and the first three seem almost like a joke. Though I would say, I'd rather Mikey's theme instead of all of them. Since when did Mikey learn Spanish?

I also want to point out... They're keeping "It's Ninja Time?" I wonder why the shell they can't just use Turtle Power. I know Peter wants this show to distance itself from the 80's version, but Turtle Power is a much better battle Cry. it looks better on a T-Shirt and a coffee mug, anyway.

Um..yeah , they ALL Suck! How about another 6 versions minus, the hip-hop/techno and punk angles? Stop trying to sound like everyone else cause it justs boring and jaded! It really seems like they lost their direction. Just go update the origional theme if you can't create anything inspiring and appropriate.

I voted for 5, because it was the least terrible, I guess. And it actually had a taste of the original 2K3 theme in there. So if for no other reason, let's just say it was continuity's sake.

Okay, I just could not WAIT to comment on this stuff... I Truly wish that the 4Kids people would be willing to take sincere HONEST suggestions for their music... but I'm afraid knowing music isn't enough by itself... *watches moths fly out of her wallet*

I'm sure we got some talented folks that could think up some pretty good stuff if they put their minds to it...

1 - Okay, the drum bit at the very beginning immediately made me think "George of the Jungle"... It sounds like a bad Cheerleader squad skit from SNL. I'm sorry, but... I'm just waiting for "Watch out for that Treeee!" This cannot do...

2 - Um.... last I knew, the boys weren't pimping around town in a caddy with the whump whump hydraulics in the Battleshell. I have a feeling "Pimp Daddy Splinter" may have to make a cameo here, if this comes into use... *Old School Dromie reference!*

3 - Soulja boy??? This....what? I like the harmonics of the female voices, but... it just doesn't fit to me. Like someone said, this sounds like something from the Boondocks, or the Pussycat Dolls. It would Certainly date the song, just like a saxaphone is solely tied to the 80s... I can just see the boys dancing/fighting beside P. Diddy and Timberlake. ;) :P

4 - I like that voice effect in Kanye's "Stronger". Not here. Now, instrumentally, I Like it. It reminds me a bit of the New Movie music. If they'd mix in some sort of Asian theme, I think it could have something there...

5 - This one's not too bad, kinda angry boy-bandish, though. Reminiscent of Daredevil, oddly enough. Nice harmonics with the voices. As many have said, a little generic. At least the roll call doesnt make you cringe..

6 - My first reaction: "THANK GOD, Japanese sounding music!" for about five seconds. I was hoping... :P
The change to the fast-paced rhythm isn't too bad. The robotic voice isn't as bad here as in 4, which is nice. The lil "We're back!" group's intresting, but the 'surpriiiise' was a lil 'meh'. There's a small pause in the song. By itself, it sounds odd - if they fill that with some sort of special action/freeze in the visuals, it would be good. I have to say, the 'rap' guy is something I could live with.. The closing manhole sound is a nice lil touch at the end. This has potential. Lots of good potential...

I dunno... I'd like to hear what Mike's got at this point. If they could tweak these a lil, 4, 5 and 6 have the most potential, personally...

*walks over to the corner and dies of Green Poisoning*

Especially 2 and 3. 5 Did not suck that bad, and that's why I voted for it. 6 still wasn't as bad, but still pretty horrible. 1 - Let's not even go there. 4 - Ugh and once again 2 & 3 should be banned from ever being played on the airwaves ever again. I'll also agree with everyone - They say green way to effing much.

5 sucked the least and was very very tollerable. I liked it. The others... meh.

I still think that 4Kids should be barred from doing any more rap theme songs, due to the generic "Will Smith track for a Movie" sounding piece of junk they used for One Piece.

If #3 wins, there is NOOOOOO hope for the younger generation.

I stand corrected. I'm normally pretty picky about spelling and such, but I didn't even notice that one.

The 4th is gross...

Heresy! How can you not fall in love with the awesome techno music? The only bad part of the whole song is when they say Cyber Shredder three times. I love the way they say Mikey at the beginning. "Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, ~Mik-ey~." There are no stupid lyrics (barring the Cyber Shredder bit), and it's simple and almost purely instrumental. It's perfect! Especially with the cyber theme the new season will have.

The 5th is good too, and I hope it wins if 4 doesn't. As I said before, the 6th is just a hodgepodge of all the others put together, and the first three are all crap.

This is what happens with Internet polls. People vote for which one they think is the worst because they like to be twats. That or there's probably some idiot spamming the voting somehow.

Personally,, I'd put 3 ahead of the godawful 1, 2, and 4, but that's just me. I think with some tweaking (like having just female vocals) #3 could actually be pretty good. I really think 1 is the worst, it makes me cringe and it's just flat out embarrassing with that "NINJA BUTT-KICKING TO THE EXTREME" being the worst and most embarrassing line I have ever heard in my life.

Still, 5 works the best as an actual theme song, and I'm pretty sure that will get picked. I'm disappointed 6 isn't doing better though.

You know, F**** that! Seriously! F*** that! If someone's voting for the worst one on purpose to be a dink, I could see that. I'd be happy.

But this is clearly the work of a bunch of suburban whitey 10 year olds that think they're "Bone Thugs" and "Pimps." The ones that Mommy drives her SUV with the "Bush/Cheney 04" bumper sticker to Soccer practice. The same ones who would piss their pants, cry like a little girl, and run home to their "Build a Bear" named Mr. Yum Yum if a real gangster pulled a gun on them. 4Kids dropped the ball before, but NEVER like this.

Theme Song #2

It’s turtle tiiiiime!!!!

The four turtles are back From traveling time But OH NO, Master Splinter got left behind In cyberspace, with new evil-doers, now its time to go back, "Where?" to the sewers!

(Chorus)

It’s the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Goin' back to the sewers!! Ninja action from the shadows below Goin back to the sewers!!

Leonardo's leading the crew And you know Donatello's got the killer IQ Raphael is rude, leaving enemies bruised And Michaelangelo's just keeping it cool Kickin' butt is a must, with weapons and smarts And the warrior code, fight with all of you heart! For the digital realm, ninja turtles prepare! But look out for the Shredder, he could be anywhere!!!

(Chorus)

It’s the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Goin' back to the sewers!! Ninja action from the shadows below Goin back to the sewers!!

It’s turtle tiiiime!!!

Anyone who votes for #3 is DISGRACING Eastman & Laird, it's a repugnant song and it isn't fair to us normal people over 11 who would be f**king embarssed if ANYONE caught us listening to that sorry excuse of a song.

My forte is punk rock, but I do like alot of rap (not anything you'll hear on the radio mind you, which is what song 3 is a clone of) and that song really bites ass! The beat is ****, the lyrics are SOOO corny, the dude has no flow, and the girls singin are just rediculous.

Let us band together and make song #5 the victor. I know that most of us hear are pissed that TMNT isn't being taken seriously as a franchise (while Transformers and other 80's shows are) and it's really frustrating, imagine how the random person will look at TMNT and it's fan base if this garbage excuse for a song is made our new theme song...

millyman says: #3 is best because it is real!

 I honestly can't go any further after that...

Please tell me we've got a programmer amongst us who can bombard the 4Kids site with votes for #5?

There's some hardcore computer nerds at my school, I'm seriously gonna look for someone who can do it.

^^Every comment on the 4Kids site for this is mindnumbingly stupid. Yes, even the ones that are for #5.

Anyway, bah, the voting thing won't load for me in the first place. I only listened to the themes through Youtube. But I'm still pretty confident that #5 will get picked in the end, even if it doesn't actually get the most votes, just because it's the only one that seems really plausible as a theme.

If it becomes the theme I'm not watching the damn show I dont care if Viral is on it or not or if they go back to present day nyc.

That's pretty pathetic.

The theme song is the most superficial and unimportant element of a show, seeing as if it's really all that horrible you can just tape the show and fast forward through it or just flip to something else while it's playing.

I'm also positive that this is also a very hollow "threat", and really, no one cares if you watch it or not.

Tell 'em it's needed ASAP!
I'm normally pretty picky about spelling and such
Not so big on counting though, eh?
The only bad part of the whole song is when they say Cyber Shredder three times.
Do ya mean the first three or the last three? :P And, was that before or after the 'tighter shorts' refrain? ^_^
Kapeesh?
For future reference, that's spelled 'capice'. We all have bad days. Don't let it bring you down. :)

Yes, everything I've said is shallow and pathetic and don't forget shallow and pedantic also, seeing as how the rest of the Drome except like 1 person is echoing everything I just said.
I also would go as far as to say some one cares since you took the time to respond.
And Vanilla Ice anyone? Remember that? yeah sadly I do and it's hands down one of if not the worst part of tmnt 2.

Ah, I haven't listened to the theme since a couple days ago, so I couldn't remember exactly how many times they said it, but I could have sworn it was three times. Oh well, who cares... And yeah, the "tighter shorts" thing totally went over my head. Erm, well, not literally, though.

That's exactly what #5 sounds like when they start naming the turtles...

The theme 5 is what I voted for. It was the least disturbing.

The first theme sounds like a poppunk song that has been composed too many times in the 90's. I could live with it though.
The second is rap. :dead:
The third is rap. Sounds like they've taken a topten rap hit from the 2002 or something and changed the lyric to fit the TMNT.
The fourth makes FF theme song sound good. :-?
The sixth could be pretty good if there was a decent melody. Now it sounds like a depressed computer is trying to do the singing. But the background's good.

Side Note: The order is pretty accurate. I'am surprised.

If you submit a vote and look at the code you will see a total number of votes, however these totals are not the totals for each of the theme songs, they are the total of votes overall. So for instance if you voted and checked #3 then voted again and checked #5 they would have similar counts.

#5 still has a clear lead but anything can happen so we'll see.

Song #3

You gotta get up, get up....(Ninja Turtles comin' back...comin' back for ya, back for ya...)

We're the defender's of the good Throw your fists in the air This is green power baby Give a call, And we there.

I got my shell on my back And we ready to attack Ninja turtles....comin' back Ninja turtles....comin' back

You know we back from the future Trainin' in the sewers Livin' underneath the train stop now

So when the Shredder comes around And the Foot is in your town Know the Turtles gonna take them all out!

Ninja Turtles comin' back Ninja Turtles comin' back Ninja Turtles comin' back Ninja Turtles comin' back

You know we back from the future Trainin' in the sewers Livin' underneath the train stop now

So when the Shredder comes around And the Foot is in your town Know the Turtles gonna take 'em all out!

Ninja Turtles comin' back Ninja Turtles comin' back Ninja Turtles comin' back Ninja Turtles comin' back

Wait... they have the train lair now??? I can't wait to see what this looks like animated.... Song 3 is actually pretty catchy and the lyrics kinda remind me of the COOTS songs....

Song #4

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, Mikey

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Ninja Turtles!

Cyber Shredder Cyber Shredder Cyber Shredder Cyber Shredder

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Teenage Mutant Ninja

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Ninja Turtles!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Ok..that song is like majorly monotonous now that I've read the lyrics... WTF?!

Time Mistress

My opinions:

1. I like the rock sound, even if it's more generic. And the line "Mikey's still nuts" cracks me up. This one's a contender.

2. While rap and TMNT go together, this ain't it. The verse is okay. I like where they talk about each of the 4 Turtles, but the chorus really sucks. Trying to say teenagemutnantninjaturtles as fast as you can followed by the dragging "back to the seeeeeeeweeeeeeeeers" is just dumb. No, just, no.

3. Sounds more like some R &B record than a theme song, and if you have to repeat the entire verse and chorus halfway through the song's going on too long. Yeah, the Turtles now live at some train lair, is that really such an important thing you have to say it twice? A failed atempt to sound hip.

4. Hate it! Did someone forget to write lyrics for this thing? "CyberShredder, CybberShredder, Cybershredder, CyberShredder" Um, yes, I heard you perfectly well the first time. The music isn't too bad, if a bit too latino rock sounding, but the completely uninspired lyrics just make this thing so flat and boring. And it annoys me they didn't say Michaelangelo's full name. Mike's song had better lyrics than this.

5. An amalgam of what has come before. A bit busy and cobbled together, but I've heard a lot worse (namlely 2,3, & 4). It's got a nice familiarity too it reminiscent of the first 2k3 theme. I wouldn't mind listening to this every week.

6. This one is kinda odd but I love the sound effects. It was the only theme to which I could almost imagine clips in my head for. I love the mysterious beginning, the sword and weapon sounds, and it easily has the best ending of the whole bunch with the sewer grate sliding closed sound. I like the rap and the techno bit when they say the name "tmnt." The "we're back" is a bit grating, but overall this could be the best theme for some visual matching.

I'd say 1, 5, or 6 would be the best. I voted for all three. As long as 4 doesn't win I'll be happy overall. But none of these themes are hitting anything out of the ballpark, imho.
