View Full Version : I just got an E-mail from Peter Laird
02-15-2003, 10:41 AM
Unfortunately I deleted it (I'm not the most computer literate person) anyway It was a fan mail and I got a resplonce, I asked a two questions:
First I asked if Leatherhead would be in the new cartoon, in eppisode 20, Laird's resplose was that Leatherhead will be in the new toon, in another season, the monster in eppisode 20 is new.
Then I asked if we would see Leatherhead and the Triceratons in upcoming issues of the TMNT, he said that Leatherhead will appear in issue 11 and at one point he'll defentely bring the Triceratons back!

Wow. You got a reply from Peter. I can't even get Dan to tell me what happened to Jim Lawson's Guzzi Lemans graphic novel.

I once asked Peter if there was any chance Renet would show up in Volume 4. He said it wasn't likely, but you never know.

But everybody better no start writing to Laird, because then he won't answer anybodys mail if he gets too much!!

Yeah... don't piss him off too much by sending him emails everytime you have a question about TMNT.
02-15-2003, 05:13 PM

02-15-2003, 11:42 PM

One time they accidently screwed up an order I made for some issues of Mutanimals so I e-mailed Dan about it and he sent me the right issues lickity split.

Ye, I ordered thet entire CITY AT WAR series off Mirage. Its really good service, I got it after 2 weeks even though I live in England. I did the same with Kevin Eastmans Artobiography.
02-16-2003, 08:02 AM
Wow!! I have to try ordering some comics someday!! :o
02-16-2003, 08:03 AM

02-17-2003, 10:00 AM
I email Dan again. This time he replied, but he didn't know the answer. He said he'd ask Jim and then get back to me.

i forget where i read it but didn't he say there wouldn't be mklunk?
oh and i hope vol4 doesn't go nuts like the original mirage, i just tryed to read issue 39 and it's just painful
02-21-2003, 11:58 AM
Issues #38-41 are total pain. Most of the guest artist issues are good, but those 3... I suggest people wont go near them.
02-21-2003, 11:59 AM
that and those weird dark ones, the art was interesting but i found the story boring
02-21-2003, 12:02 PM
You are probably talking about Michael Zulli's books. They were pretty neat, but I agree, not vey intresting.
02-21-2003, 09:28 PM
yeah i thought the artwork was amazing it just didn't seem like tmnt
02-22-2003, 01:18 AM
Well it was something very diffrent.
02-23-2003, 02:03 AM
I loved Zulli's artwork. It was eye-popping how he envisioned the TMNT and Splinter with a more animalistic view.
I have the final issue of his three part story, so I can't really comment on the whole thing. But from the issue I read, the story seemed to hold the message that life is valuable, whether you are man or beast or somewhere in between.
02-23-2003, 02:08 AM
Well it's very strange. First Saki commands the oot to kill the TMNT, one of the turtles gets seriously wonded. In the last issue Saki comes and heals it... Well still it's pretty cool.
02-23-2003, 02:37 AM
Hmm... Now I'm really interested in getting the other two issues. I need to try and find them. I bought my only Zulli issue from my local comic book store, and I didn't spot the others.
02-23-2003, 03:11 AM
Well you can order those online, they aren't very rare issues.
02-26-2003, 11:51 AM
yeah, i'm getting the one of those i missed along with the rest of the mirage coomics off of the official site
