View Full Version : TMNT Jakks Plug & Play Game?

If you're familiar with the Jakks Plug & Play line (or is that Plug 'N Play? No matter....), they are a series of dedicated consoles - in other words, games built into a controller without external games being necessary (although there are variations that accept "GameKey" cartridges, but I digress). Some of them are collections of all new games, while others are ports of games of yore.
A friend once pointed out that there was a TMNT game available in this manner. Now, I do not have every single variation of every TMNT game, although I do have quite a few - but this is the ONLY TMNT game that I have never seen with my own eyes, be it in a store, or in a friend's possession (yes, even obscure lil' doohickeys like the ZX Spectrum games and the Hero Turtles LCD game).
Does anyone here own one? Would someone be willing to give a bit more information about it? And more importantly... would someone be able to part with one?
EDIT: ESRB's website lists three TMNT P&P games: Way of the Warrior, Mutants & Monsters Mayhem, and Battle for the City. Whether these are the three games included on one controller, or if this is even accurate at all, remains to be seen....

Do these games really work? I once saw a MK Plug N Play but would it really look like the arcade?

I don't know for sure. I only have the Dragon Ball Z one and it blows hard.

I have the mutant & monsters game, its pretty sweet its shaped as gun and you shoot at the t.v. screen kinda like duck hunt, you pick which ever turtle you want to be and each turtle takes you to a different style of level or world, like if you were donatello you would fight in the battle nexus and so on. I haven't played the other two though, and I thought and only seen 2 plug n' play games that have been produced, haven't heard of three.

Sounds interesting. I saw a Mutants & Monsters about a day ago on Amazon, but it was going for $99.99 - no way was I paying that much. Is it actually made by Jakks Pacific? I'm not 100% sure if they were made by them, and I know that a couple of other companies made dedicated consoles.

They're all pretty simple, since they're targeted at young children, I last played one based on "The Batman", pretty average stuff.

Why do so many companies think if it's for children, it has to suck?

No, I worked for Jakks Pacific for quite some time, and we never made a TMNT Plug N' Play game. Oh by the way S, I worked on the DBZ one you have. You're right, it blows hard.

Did you really? That's interesting. I thought the Pinball game was okay for what it was, but the Pong-like game left me wondering what was in the cooler at JP, and the fighting game.... I wrote a very scathing review on. Did any of those games turn out decent other than the ports (like Pac-man)?
