this made me laugh this morning this is a list of street laws from days of old (and some not even all that old) that are still technically on the books in several states.

many of them sound pretty stupid but it's funny that they where had to be made in the first place really. I guess people back in the day where lazy crazy even back then.

Yield to pea***** in Arcadia, Calif.
Don’t jump into a passing vehicle in Glendale, Calif.
Don’t change clothes in your car at the beach in Destin, Fla.
Don’t keep a car door open longer than is necessary in Oregon.
Don’t drive through playgrounds in Dublin, Ga.

I can just imagine some teenage boys from the 1898 making a game out of jumping on to moving carts that pass them on the street as like a rite of passage. LOL!

this makes me want to check out what really old laws are still on the books in my state and town I live in!

I've read a bunch of these antiquated laws before, and for some reason they infuriate me. They don't amuse me in the least. o_O

My cousin told me of a very strange law here in NH. I don't have a second source to verify it yet, but I will get one.

In NH, if you have ANY african/black individuals in your family, no matter how little or how far back, you MUST put 'African American" on your birth certificate.

So... Alexandre Dumas was the child of a white father and a haitian slave. That technically means that I'm supposed to be considered an African American... :|

We have some weird laws here in my neck of the woods...

Like this one for example...

It is illegal to use a lasso to catch a fish.

Hollow logs may not be sold.
Whaaaaaaaaaat?!!?!?! XD

oh and this one cracks me up:

Driving is not to be done while asleep.
As if I would really do that!!! :P:lol:

For some reason marijuana is apparently still illegal. What the hell? Isn't that a crazy antiquated law? ;)
