Seriously? That's the promotional video? I could make a better video with a production team of monkeys. I can't believe they let a bunch of morons work on this when there's fans out there, real ones not retarded college/high school kids who think turtles is cool because it's "retro", that could do a way better job.

Am I alone in thinking it should have been professional, and not "wacky" (*cough*stupid*cough*)?

We had a thread about this I remember, and yeah we made fun of it then.

I know a lot of people don't, but I like the silliness. Sure, something that looks better would've been cooler, but I like what we got for what it is.

Haha, I forgot about this thing. It's just as embarrassing now as it was when they first revealed it. I hope it's only a pitch video and not something they plan to use for any public advertisement.

How much would it cost me to see you actually do that? I have no doubt it'd be better than this, but I'm ever so intrigued by your challenge. I MUST SEE IT!

The fact that it's been on ninjaturtles.com, on their Youtube channel, and now on the 25th anniversary site... how often do you see pitch videos released to the public on purpose?

What a disgrace  come on, it's the 25th anniversary!I was expecting maybe a short history on the turtles...or not, just not this...i wonder if they're preparing something else...i saw crt/tanaka (whoever they are) displayed at the end of the video, maybe mirage studios will be making their own video?

Shredder getting runover was pretty funny.

Yeah its kind of dumb but at least they are doing something for the 25th anniversary. Hundreds of franchises have much worse anniversaries.

Pathetic. -_- I would have thought they'd do a little short animation of the Turtles promoting the anniversary. Not this basement production with college kids wearing colored rags and bad acting.

In defense of CowabOnga guy, he clearly has a southern accent so I doubt he's saying it wrong on purpose.

And yeah the video is lame.

At least the title admits the video is silly. Not my cup of tea, but I've seen simular TMNT videos on youtube of fans having the same kind of fun and messing about.

Speaking of videos. I'm looking forward the to TMNT Documentary some of the people here are setting up, and is something I'd like to contribute to if there is an opening.

I think the idea was alright, but it did not seem at all like something that should be "official". I mean, the intro reminded me of an MST3K riff when they say "camera guy just can't get enough effort to go over there". It seems to stay at that angle and distance for way too long.

I'm not going to sugercoat this, this was embarrasing and a further black eye on TMNT. It makes the franchise look silly, it makes the anniversary feel worthless, it does what seven or three years of the original TMNT did for the characters, and the fanbase, stereotype them the way those worthless VH1 documentaries did with thier unsuspecting victims. The modern show had it's dignity subtley and then not-so-subtley peeled away, we've been left with nothing but vultures on a carcass.

PS: Oh, and I don't like it.

Well the franchise is kind of silly. Even the original comic was meant to be a bit of a satire.

With that said though, it's sad that more effort wasn't put into a promotional video. I mean, if you're that nostalgic about something, you should want to make it look as awesome as how you remember it. The video looks like maybe it was done in 20 minutes.
