[Kali]

Welcome to another episode of As the Forum Turns. (Brought over from other threads, the most recent being Newbie here!! We'll try and keep our 'game' confined to proper threads. The problem with soap operas is that you get lost if you haven't been there since the beginning. :razz:)

The last time we saw our friends, Kali had just gotten in trouble for pulling a prank on Leo. Leo also got in trouble for losing his temper and almost seriously injuring Kali. After they had both cooled down, Kali went to apologize to Leo when he told her that "there's something really important I have to tell you."
Machias and Nunchucker were/are desperately trying to find out what Leo told Kali that was so important.

[Machias Banshee]

*Machias sat at the entrance of the cave, wracking her brain of what to do*

Dang it, Leo said somethng to kali, but what? Hmmm... I wonder...Im gonna go look for Leo and talk to him.

*Meanwhile, Mike and don are talking about the events of the past week or two.*

mikeyC: Man, you get grounded for a month, and you miss alot...

donC: Well, its pretty simple. Machias was pulling a bunch of pranks, her, Raph and Kali gotinto a big fight, then she got into it with Splinter, and then you guys pulled thids thing with Leo. I thought it was a little funny until Leo attacked me tho...
*glares at Mikey*

MikeyC: Unlucky bystander?

*Don threw a greasy rag at Mikey and continued his work on something in the cave.*

*Leo appears from inside the cave, sees Machias, then quickly goes back inside.*

*Machias saw movement out ofth corner of her eye, and turned to see Leo retreating.*

Hey, Leo! Can i ask you soemthing?

[Kali]

*Leo groans* Um, could this wait? I really don't feel like talking right now.

[Machias Banshee]

What is your problem/ I didnt do this, Kali did! You got something against me now?

*she folded her arms, and looked at Leo defiantly, waiting for an answer when...*

[Kali]

*Leo sighed* No, nothing against you, I don't feel like talking to ANYONE. *sees the look on Machias' face* Okay, what's the question?

[Machias Banshee]

*she prevents herself from smiling, and looks into Leo's deep eyes*

What was it that you told Kali? You can trust me, i wont breathe a word to anyone.

[Kali]

:oops: Uh, can you pick another question? That's kinda personal. Besides, we aren't on good enough terms for me to tell you something like that.

[Machias Banshee]

What?! *snort* Well, let me know when we're on goodterms, and i'll get back to you!

*Machias stormed away, angry that he was treating her like this. Don and Mike paused to see her walk by. Mike greeted her, but only recieved the cold blowoff.*

MikeyC: Woah, what was THAT about?

DonC: I dont know. I gotta go wash off. I'll be back.
*Don approached the cave seeing Leo standing alone, thinking. don wasnt sure what to say. He still hurt from the slam in the lockerroom. He paused a second before asking*

DonC: Hey, Leo, whats going on?

[azure turtle]

LOL!! Looks like the drama has already started in this thread :smile: Anyway, have fun, dudettes. I need to get going. School calls.
*le sigh*
*vanishes in a blue puff of smoke*

Leo: Not much. I just wish Machias would mind her own business. What I told Kali is none of her business.

Don: What did you tell Kali?

Leo: It's none of your business either. *sighs* Don, I'll be in big trouble if anyone finds out.

[Machias Banshee]

*don looked at his brother, curious as to why he was acting like this*
DonC: Machias just like to have fun. What's bugging you?

*he could see Leo looking at him suspiciously, and sighed*

DonC:Come on Leo, its me. Would i do anything? talk to me. Even Leaders and older brothers need to talk about their problems.

[Kali]

*Leo looks around* Okay, but you have to swear that you will never tell anyone ever. Raph will kill me if he gets wind of this.

[Machias Banshee]

DonC: Dont worry, i wont say a word.

*Leo and Don stepped to a quieter place away from the caves and sat down.*

*Meanwhile, Raph was working out in the dojo, taking his agressions out on the punching bag.*

RaphC: *punch* That *punch* asshole's *punch* gonna pay *punch* for hurting Kali*punch* .
*Raph gave the bag one more swift punch before heading over to the weapons rack, pulling out two shuriken.*

RaphC: He's always frickin getting on me about my temper and look at what he does! Those Damn pics started this ****.
*he pasued again, remember how everything had unfolded. He snapped his fingers.*
Machias! that bitch is gonna pay for this crap...

*he threw the shurikens and headed off to the showers*

[Kali]

*Leo looks at the ground* Damnit Don, I have no idea what I'm going to do.
Don: About what?
Leo: I... I think... I think I'm falling for Kali.
Don: Raph's gonna kill you.
*Leo tucks his head into his shell* I know!

Meanwhile...
*Kali appears in the dojo just after Raph left* Geez, looks like the Foot attacked this place.

[Machias Banshee]

~Leo needs medical help!~

*Raph came out of the showers, drying himself off with a towel.*

RaphC: Hey, babe. nah, just practicing.
*raph pulled Kali close to him, the water rolling off him drenching the front of her shirt.*

RaphC: oops, you'll have to take it off and stick it in the dryer.

*Raph smirked, grateful that he was lucky to have Kali in his life, hoping that nothing would ever make them part.*


*Meanwhile, Machias sat by the pool, glowering, when she felt a hand on her shoulder.*

What the hell do you-

*she clamped her mouth shut when she turned to see Splinter standing beside her.*

Oh, im sorry, Sensei. I guess i'm not doing too well today...

*Splinter sat down on the rock across in front of her, seeing her anger glowing like a candle.*

SpC: What is troubling you, Child?

*Machias sighed. Maybe, she thought, Splinter knows what's up leos shell*

Oh, Leo's just being a jerk. I asked him a simple question, and he totally blew me off. i wish i understood why he hates me...



*Where else, a young turtle snickered. Mike had heard the cnversation between Leo and Don, and decided that he was going to have some fun now...*

Raph: Hey! *chases after her*
*looks back* Ha, you couldn't catch a cold! *is suddenly swept off her feet*
*Raph grins* You're cold, does that count?

*Leo sank farther into his shell* It's not like I'm in love with her. But there's something about her. She annoys the hell out of me sometimes, but I can't seem to stay mad at her.
Don: And you told her how you felt.
Leo: Uh huh.

[Machias Banshee]

DonC: And what was here reaction?

LeoC: well....

*Meanwhile, Mike finds Machias talking to Splinter and thinks. What would happen if she knew? What would happen if Raph knew? Mike felt like performing an experiment. He departed them and went to his room. there, he grabbed a piece of paper, a pen and started writing.*

~Dear Raphael,
I've wanted to talk to you about something important. You see, I've been talking to Leo, and found out something interesting. Leo and Kali have been getting together behind your back. Leonardo is in love with Kali.I hated to break this to you, cuz you dont deserve to be treated that way.
Ive also wanted to say something else. I care about you. More than Kali ever could. I love you with all my heart, and wish for us to be together. Please let me know how you feel.

MikeyC: This is gonna be sweet!

*Mike hurried to the hall, and after making sure no one was around, slipped the letter under Raph's door and left.*

[Kali]

~Man, you ARE being evil today, aren't you?~

*Leo lifted his head out of his shell* She was kinda surprised, but at least she didn't laugh in my face. I didn't expect her to drop everything and run away with me or anything, but I just needed to tell her.
Don: And?
Leo: And she was kinda silent. That's when I kissed her.
Don: You what? Have you been using that Turtle wax again?
Leo: No, that just it! That stupid wax made me realize how I really felt.

*Kali pulled Raph's arm* Come on, I wanna see that movie.
Raph:*groan* Okay, but we're seeing it in my room. I don't like the main room, too public.
*rolls her eyes* fine. I'll go get the movie and meet you in your room.
*Raph kissed her before she left then headed for his room. He opened the door and nearly walked over the note on his floor.* What do we have here?

[Machias Banshee]

~Yes i am! :grin:~

*Machias was wandering the caves, brooding after Splinter told her not to worry about Leo's behavior, and to leave him be. She soon saw Mike walking around and decided she needed a good laugh.*

Hey Mike!

*Mike jumped slightly at her voice, and then approached her, smiling.*

MikeyC: Hey, Machias. What's up?

Not much.

MikeyC:Hmm... hey, you wanna go see Don's new gadget? Its a heater for the hottub, so we dont have to bike a marathon to get it heated up.

Cool, lets check it out.

*Mike and Machias walked over to the hottub, finding Donatello working on it once again.*

MikeyC: Hey Donnie, hows the work goin'?

*don stood up, wiping the sweat from his forehead, leaving a black grease smudge.*

DonC:Oh, hey. Its going well. should be up and running soon, actually.

MikeyC: hopefully, i dont wanna end up running around getting firewood. not many trees around here.

Not unless you count Michaelangelo's Peetree!

*the three burst into fits of laughter just as Leo was walking by. He shot Don a warning glare when the other two werent looking before going into the dojo.*

*Raphael stared dumbfounded at the piece of paper.*
Hey, whatcha got there?
*Raph turned around to see Kali holding the movie. He hid the note behind his back.* Oh, nothing. I just remembered there was something I have to do, go ahead at start the movie without me. *And he runs out of the room*

*Raphael hurried through the lair/caves trying to find his prey. He finally spots them with Don next to the hot tub.* You!

[Machias Banshee]

*Machias Mike and Don were conversing about whatnot when they heard an angry shout from the cave entrance.*

What's wrong Raph? You looking for something?

*Mike said nothing, trying not to grin, as Don watched, having no idea what was going on. Not too far away, Splinter was walking near the caves and could see a figure running towards the three near the hotub. He stopped for a second, quietly observing.*

SpC: hmph :smile: most likely another one of their silly pranks or jokes.

*Splinter stepped towards the ponds, continuing his meditations, and yet still keeping an ear out for trouble.*

[Kali]

*Raph stopped and looked from Mike to Machias* I'm not sure who I should pound first. *he stuck the note out towards them* What the hell is the meaning of this?

[Machias Banshee]

what the heck are you talking about?

*Leonardo heard the commotion and approached the group.*

LeoC: What's going on?

[Kali]

*Raph pointed to Leo* You STAY! *turns back to Machias* I'm not surprised you've never seen this. Mike, the next time you try something like this, at least TRY and disguise your handwriting.

[Machias Banshee]

~but he DID disguise it!~

Look Raph I have no idea what youre talking about!

MikeyC: Leave her alone dude, What is your problem?!

[Kali]

Raph: Oh, excuse me if I'm a little upset. I suppose I should be jumping for joy that I just got a note that said my girlfriend's cheating on me with my brother! *he spins to glare at Leo*

[Machias Banshee]

*Leo's eyes shot to Donatello's direction and he frowned.*

LeoC: You Bastard! You F***ing Bastard! How could you tell her?!
*Leo then turned to Machias, the muscle in his jaw clenching.*
LeoC: You cant keep your damn mouth quiet, can you?!
*Machias became furious. He had no right to yell at her like that. He was treating her like a stupid child, and she wasnt going to take it.*

You think i give a damn about your personal issues?! Its not MY fault you have problems with women, especially in the downstairs department!Maybe that pic you gave me was of you!

*In a blind rage, Leo slapped her hard, and she fell to the ground, shocked.*

You-you...*her cheek stung, and she looked at him* you asshole!

*she jumped to her feet and started to shake, when she began glowing*

~Don't alienate our readers. We're just on a quest to make things more organized and on topic. Off topic posts will most likely simply be ignored, if not deleted. Now with that said.~

*Kali uncrumpled the note in her hand and silently read it. Her face flushed four shades of red before looking up at Machias.* How could you?

*Leo shook his head* I didn't tell her anything, I swear!

*Machias ran away from everyone, her face stinging from the harsh slap, and the tears in her eyes.*

*Mike looked about, feeling bad for the confrontation that had erupted and shied away. He had never felt like such crud in his entire life. He walked over to the ponds, and hid from the others. What he didnt realize was that Splinter was nearby and heard sme of what had happened.*

[Kali]

*Splinter approached his son quietly* Michaelangelo?

*Kali just looked from Leo to Don, only the three of them left at the hot tub, then ran off after Raphael*

Don: Leo, I didn't say anything, I swear, you know I wouldn't.

Leo: Doesn't matter who did, the ****'s hit the fan now.

[Machias Banshee]

*mike jumped a little when he heard Splinter's ((Masculine&amp;Fatherly)) voice. *

MikeyC:Um-uh, hi Sensei.

*Splinter approached slowly, and put a hand on his shoulder.*

Spc: I see something is troubling you.
*Mike looked up at him, to try and dney anything, but Splinter spoke*
Is it because of the prank you pulled, or is it for what happened to Machias...?
*Mike's head ducked submissively. He was in deep trouble.*

*Raph stormed into the dojo, cussing under his breath, and attacked the punching bag with an unmitigated fury. He pictured Kali, couldnt take it any longer and punched the wall. THe pain from his knuckles throbbed, and blood dotted on his hand. He couldnt believe she had betrayed him. All he could do was drop to his knees and weep. He could hear somene approaching and qipes the tears away, and stood to see who it was.*

*Kali stepped into the dojo. She kept her distance from Raph, as she knew what his temper could do.* Raph? *he didn't look up* Raph, I swear it's not true. You saw how Machias reacted. It's obvious that this is just another prank.

*Raphael stood up, keeping his back to her* Well, whoever did this has definitely gone too far. *He walked past Kali without looking her in the eyes* How much of that is true though? I wouldn't be this mad if I didn't think it was possible.

Raph...*but he left before she could say anything else*

*raphael approached Don and Leo, his charcoal orbs of sight lit with rage.*

*Don saw Raph approaching, and stepped back a bit. this was not going to be good. Stealing a girlfriend, especially Raph's, was one orf the worst things someone could do to their own brother, and Leo was just about to find out the hard way. Leo kept his ground, albeit a bit shakily.*

Leo: I know what youre thinking Raph and I-

* Leo wasnt able to finish before Raph pulled a sai on him.*


*Elsewhere, Machias sat on a rocky ledge, trying to ignore the ain in her cheek.*

Oh, its *sniff* gonna leave a bruise i know it... Damn, *sniff* where's Splinter when you need him?

*Someplace else, Splinter was giving Mike a firm talking-to about the trouble that he had started, and then they both satarted to approach the caves when they heard a commotion...*

*Raphael placed the tip of his sai underneath Leo's chin* You've got five seconds to tell me why I shouldn't slit your throat.

Leo: Raph, I swear, I wasn't trying to steal her.

*Raph narrowed his eyes* Bull. I know you. You've always felt like you were better than me. I bet it killed you to see me happy.

Leo: Raph, I never wanted to come between you and Kali. But keeping it inside was killing me!

[Machias Banshee]

Don: Come on Raph, you cant kill him just because of something he said. He didnt DO anything!

*Raph glared into don's eyes, and Don flinched ever so slightly, and Raph shook his head. He still had his sai to Leo's neck, and pressed it in slightly, causing Leo to grimace.*

Raph: I cant believe you were all in this. what, are you ALL F***ing around with her?!

*Leo suddenly slapped Raph's hand away, and pulled katana from his back, and both looked ready to jump.*

Leo: Youre the only one that's doing all the screwing around here!

Raph: Youre gonna pay, you cheating bastard!

Voice: That is ENOUGH!
*suddenly a voice boomed, and all movement ceased. they turned to see Splinter glaring sternly at them. Beside him was a very uneasy Michaelangelo.*

[Kali]

*Leonardo lowered his katana ever so slightly, but Raphael kept his sai up, eyes locked on Leo. Kali came within earshot, but stayed in the shadows*

*Splinter stepped between them* I said that is enough.

Raph: This jerk stole my girl!

Splinter: Tsk, Raphael, do you really have so little faith in Kali to believe she'd do that?

*Raph lowered his head*

Splinter: I believe Michaelangelo has something to tell everyone.

[Machias Banshee]

*mike hesitated, seeing that both brothers were angry and armed. the fierce loook he got from Splinter said otherwise...*

mikeyC: Um I just wanna--well, that is... I'm the one who wrote the note. Well, i had heard Leo saying that he liked Kali and kissed her, so i just wanted to have some fun...with it...
*he finished quietly. He wanted to crawl into a hole and die. His Master and Brothers looked at him with shock, disappointment, and anger.*

Don: um, not to change the subject, but where are Kali and Machias. As i recall, you slapped Machias, Leo, and Kali had gone to talk to Raph and we havent seen her since.

*Everyone looked at Leo and Raph, shocked.*

SpC: We must find them. Donatello, You and Michaelangelo go and find Machias, i will locate Kali. Leonardo, Raphael, go to your rooms and remain there until we return.

[Kali]

*Leo and Raph traded angry glares on their way to their rooms. Even though Mike had admitted to writing the letter, that still didn't change things.*

Raph: You kissed her? *Leo didn't respond*

*Don and Mike left to find Machias*

*Splinter looked around* You can come out now.

*Kali stepped out of the shadows* Knew I couldn't hide from you. This isn't over yet, is it sensei?

Splinter: Not by a long shot.

[Machias Banshee]

*Mike and Don scoured the rockside, until they could see a pair of (long and lovely)legs dangling over the edge.*

DonC: there she is. come on, lets get her down...

MikeyC: i dont know dude, she might be mad at me or something...

DonC:*sigh* fine, i'll go talk to her.

*Don climbed the cliff wall, wondering how the hell she could have gotten up so easily. That was when he saw her. She had changed into her raptor form, and was nursing her sore cheek.*

DonC: Machias...?
*Machias jumped a lil' from his voice, but turned to look at him. Don's eyes grew large when he saw the side of her face. it was dark red hand-shaped mark, and becoming one giant bruise.*

DonC: He hit you pretty hard...

*Machias turned her face away, embarassed about what had happened. She had never known about the prank, but she was feeling like the culprit. She opened her mouth to say something, but only tears came.
She had never been hit by anyone out of anger. And getting slapped by Leo ws the worst thing ever...*

Oh, Don. Why did he get so mad at me? I didnt have anything to DO with what happened!

*she stood, her sickle claw tapping the rock nervously. Don pulled her into a supportive hug and directed her down the side of the cliffs.*

DonC: He was...upset. A lot of stuff has been going on and he was stressed out. Im sure he feels awful about it now. come back to the cave and we'll put some ice on your face.

Well, okay...

*They descended and met up with mike, who couldnt look Machias in the eye, and they headed home to the caves, wondering what they were going to find...*

[Kali]

*Splinter and Kali watched the small group approach. Splinter frowned at the mark on Machias' cheek.*

Splinter: Have we all had enough time to cool down? *They all nodded* Good, then go to the dojo and wait while I get Leonardo and Raphael.

*They all walked towards the dojo in silence. In a few minutes Splinter returned with Leo and Raph in tow.*

Leo: Machias, I'm so sorry for hitting you. I jumped the gun, and if I could take it back I would. I'm sorry.

[Machias Banshee]

*She looked at Leo, a little sad, a little mad, but most importantly, a bit nervously.*

Well, we cant change it now, can we...

*DonC got an ice pak from the freezer and came out to the dojo. After wrapping it in a towel, he handed it to her.*

Thanks Don.

*Mike sat soundlessly, not looking anyone in the eye. His one joke caused this entire mess, and he wished that he could turn back time and make it so it never happened. But for now, he had to meet with the consequences...*

[Kali]

*Splinter gestured for Leo and Raph to sit. Leo sat apart from everybody and Raph sat next to Kali.*

Splinter: I know I have been tolerant of these pranks to date, but this has crossed the line. *He looked to Mike, who cringed under the gaze* You are all seriously testing my patience. I honestly cannot think of a punishment that would be adequate for the crime. I'm going to meditate on this. *Then he turned and left*

*Raphael put his arm around Kali's shoulder and ran his fingers through her hair, looking to see Leo's reaction. Leo stood and quickly left the room. Raph glared at his exit*

(What we need are more players to spice things up!)

[Machias Banshee]

Mike: Oh, man, he's pissed aint he...?

Raph: No way, where'd you get THAT idea?

Don: guys, dont start. We're in enough trouble already, let's not make it worse.

Leo: I cant believe this is happening...

Raph: What the hell do you expect, everything to go your own way?

*Everyone starts arguing until-*

Everyone Shut the **** up! *She blushed a little from her outburst* arguing isnt going to help, so lets just wait and see what Master Splinter's decision is, okay?!

*she replaced the ice on her face, trying to keep her gaze from reaching Leo's. Call her whacked out, but she felt fearful of Leonardo, and couldnt really understand why.*

[Nunchucker]

*Kali took a deep breath and leaned against Raph's shoulder. She had the guilty feeling that she was at least partly to blame for this. After all, it was Leo's crush on her that started this*

*Raph looked down at her thoughtful face* You don't love Leo back, do you?

*takes a deep breath* Not the way I love you.

Raph: That wasn't the question.

*just sighs and settles back into his arms*

*Leo stood* I'm going for a walk.
(See, that's a good place, you could run into Leo for some reason.)

[Nunchucker]

((sorry, just came back from supper. Lasagna again! :roll: ))

*raph looked at Leo, wanting to jump, but he had kali laying back on him*

Raph: Oh no you dont, If we're all gettin' in trouble, you havta be here as well!

*Leo sat back down*

Splinter: This is a very serious punishment. Michaelangelo, you are grounded, and you will do Leonardo's chores as well as your own.

Mike: Why Leo's?

*Raph growled* Why just Leo's?

Splinter: Because you did him a great wrong. You caused him, and others, great pain. Also because Leonardo will not be here to do his chores. I believe it will be best for all of us if he left for awhile, so I am taking him on a retreat to the farmhouse.

*Leo nodded, a little nervously. No doubt he was in for a good shelling over this, but he would find out eventually...the hard way.*

What are we to do, Sensei...?

*Splinter looked to Machias, his glare softening from seeing the pain she was in from the mark on her face.*

SpC: YOU are going to allow yourself to heal, as well as Kali. I know that you two were not involved in *this* prank.

*then he turned and looked to Kali, Don, and Raph, pausing a moment to look at each of them and to think.*

[Kali]

*Splinter sighed* I honestly don't know how I could have let this get this bad. I knew I should have ended this sooner. I thought I was a better parent than this.

Raph: You did great! It's not your fault if you got a few bad apples.*glares at Leo*

Leo: Oh, you're on to talk!

Splinter: Enough! Raphael, I am also reprimanding you for your assault on Leo.
(Errand time again!)

MikeyC: *groan* I cant believe i got grounded again!

SpC: You brought this upon yourself, my son. When we finish here, you will be dismissed to begin your duties.

*Machias looked at Don for a moment. He hadnt been involved in any of it. He wasnt responsible for any of the stuff that had happened. She had to wonder what Splinter would do with him. She was just grateful for the ice pak he gave her...*

Master, what about Donatello? He didnt really do anything wrong, either.

*Don looked a little nervous for being put into the spotlight, and looked up to Splinter uneasily.*

SpC: That is true, Machias. Donatello was not involved, although he could have tried to prevent some of this from happening.

*Don blushed a little, and lowered his eyes. Splinter looked at him, Kali and raphael, and then made a decision...*

~Yes, you are!~
Splinter: Raphael, you will be putting in extra practice. Double the usual.

*Raph's jaw dropped. That was harsh. And he'd hardly ever be able to see Kali.*

Splinter: Donatello, I believe this has taught you enough so that you will make a better decision if something like this happens again.

*Don lowered his head and nodded. Splinter knew that his guilt was his own worst enemy.*

Splinter: And girls, you must rest up while I'm gone. And stay out of trouble. You are all dismissed.

*mike was sent to his duties, Raph was sent to the dojo, and Don sat silently, his guilt eating at his insides. (man this sounds familiar!)*

*Splinter turned to Machias and sighed softly. He could tell something was bothering her. Maybe it was being near Raphael with him not there, maybe it was the dino-nervousness...*

SpC: This evening, yes. Leonardo needs to be taught how to control his anger, as his actions has shown us.

*Machias blushed a little, the bruise making it seem stronger. it had spread to the entire side of her face, and the area around her eye was swollen.*

SpC: have courage, child. things will improve. Now, i must go and prepare. Rest yourselves and heal.

Yes, Sensei.

*Splinter departed and left Don alone in the room with the two girls.*

*Don looked up* Just that he told you that he liked you, and that he kissed you. He wasn't very detailed, and I didn't pry.

*sighs* Thanks, Don. *walks over to Machias* Come on, that ice is starting to melt, let's go get you another pack from the kitchen.

*Machias stood up, her tail sore from sitting. 'raptors dont sit they crouch' she told herself. they walked into the kitchen to see mike stuck sweeping the floor. Kali pulled another pak from the fridge, and Machias sat sideways on the chair, touching the bruise lightly with a finger.*

*sigh* this is gonna take forever to heal...

*Mike looked at her while he swept, a wave of pity washing over him. He loved Machias deeply, and he felt awful for letting her get hurt like that. Seeing what Leo did to her made him angry, but there wasnt much he could do. Machias saw him looking at her, and he turned away sharply, sweeping faster.*

Mike... I just wanna say--

Mikey: Im-Im sorry...Im so sorry. I--I gotta go.

*at that word, he left the kitchen to do chores in anothe part of the lair, leaving Machias sitting sadly, and Kali looking clueless. Leo entered and looked at them, and turned to leave when...*

Leo wait!

*Leo stopped but didn't turn around*

Is that what you're going to do from now on, just avoid me?

Leo: It's the best for everybody. Until I work this out, I really can't come near you. *He glanced towards Machias* I'm sorry, I don't know how many times I have to say it, but I am. I hope you can forgive me eventually.

*Machias felt angered, but the fearful feeling lingered and grew stronger*

you can say sorry... and you can avoid us... b-but it--it wont help anything.

*she turned he face away, feeling hot tears flood her eyes. Don appeared at the entrance and watched, the feeling like watching a lightning storm from a buildingtop.*

Don: Is..everything alright in here...?

Leo: Yeah. Yeah... just fine.
*Leo frowned and stalked out of the kitchen. He could hear Splinter callng for him...*

*Kali frowned* Hey, Don, could you leave us alone?

Don: Okay, sure. Just holler if you need anything.

*Once Don left, Kali sat across from Machias* Okay, now this is beyond just holding a grudge for hitting you. I can tell there's something else. Are you really that afraid of him?

*Machias looked at Kali. Why did she have to ask??*

Its nothing...honest. darn dino hormones, thats all.

*she wiped the tears from her face, wincing form the pain in her cheek. She didnt want to talk about it, so she got up and left the room. she wandered until she found the living room, where Splinter and Leo were finishing preparations to go to the farmhouse. She saw Leo and spun around to leave, when Splinter called her name*

Umm, yes Splinter?

SpC: Im sorry to ask you, but could you help Leonardo load our luggage into the truck?

A-actually, i uh, i gotta go do some--

SpC: It will only take a second, *he said, looking at her*, please.

*She didnt want to be anywhere near Leo after what he had done. She could have just turned and left, but that would be disrespectful, and she didnt want to go through that guilt trip again.*

*sigh* Okay, i'll help. What do you need moved?

SpC: Thank you child. *he patted her shoulder and pointed to two bags.* It will help you will feel better and it will give you something to do.


*Meanwhile... Raph had come into the kitchen to get a drink when he saw Kali sitting at the table, lines of concentration etched into her forehead.*

Raph: Whats with you?

[Kali]

*sighs and sits back in her chair* Nothing really, I'm just trying to figure all this out. *rubs her hands over her face*

*Raph walks around and starts to massage her shoulders* Anything I can help with?

No. Ya know, sometimes I think it would have been better if we'd never come here.

Raph: That's stupid!

Is it? I mean, Machias and I seem to be directly or indirectly responsible for everything that's happened.

*Raph squeezed her shoulders* Stop it. You know I'd be totally lost without you. It ain't your fault.

*Don heard Kali's comment from the kitchen, and slipped away to think.*

*Machias finished helping lug stuff into the truck, and sat on a treestump to rest.*

SpC: thank you Machias. You were an immense help.

*Machias sighed and nodded absentmindedly. Splinter raised an eyebrow, and knelt before her looking into her red eyes.*

SpC: I can see something is bothering you-and it is not just the bruise on your face.

*Machias nodded and looked up to him, tears running freely now.*

I just- i dont know...bad childhood memories are flooding back to me.

SpC: Come, let us walk and then you can tell me.

*Machias and Splinter moved away from the truck and spoke privately.*

When i was younger, i was attacked by a bunch of boys... with metal bats. i didnt know how to defend myself from them, and just grew very fearful of them. I think its happening all over again...with Leo.

SpC: You can be assured that he never meant to hit you, though it seemed to be just the opposite. He was angered and embarrassed greatly. He is very sorry for what he did, and said that he wanted to make up for it if you would just give him the chance. Take the time while we are away to think about it.

I will. thank you Splinter, you've helped me feel a lot better. *She hugged Splinter and bid them farewell with the others when he and Leonardo left.*

Mikey: now what..?

Don: YOU get back to your chores, Raph gets practicing, and the girls heal up.

Raph: Who called you boss?

Don: Master Splinter did. He told me to keep things going straight while they were gone.

*Mike dragged himself away to his chores and Raph cursed and went to the dojo.then he turned to the girls with a shy smile.*

Don: can i help you ladies with anything?

*Kali smiled* Gee, I'd respond with something naughty, but after today, I don't think it'd be very funny. I'm fine, I think I'm just going to relax for awhile.

*Kali slipped away and wandered around for awhile before deciding that what she really wanted was a soak in the hot tub* That'll melt my worries away!

don: I'm gonna just chill and read. Ive fixed everything in this entire place, and the others arent here to bug me, so... *smirk*

*Machias had changed into her suit (however it fit with the tail), and glided into the water. she snaked thruogh the water like a giant crocodile, and felt the tension leave her muscles. She felt gooooooood.*

*Don found Mike cleaning the bathroom, glaring at the drain with a look of disgust.*

Mikey: None of us have hair, and yet the clog's full of it! i know Splinter sheds, but this is ridiculous!

*Son grinned and stepped forward.*

don: Remember, the girls have been here, using the pool, the hottub, the [i]shower[/]. It comes with the business.

mikey: Maybe we oughta shave their heads or something.

don: :lol: good luck. *Don paused for a moment and looked to Mike with a serious eye.* Say Mike, has Machias ever said she regretted ever meeting us?

*Don shut the door behind him and sat down on the toilet lid.*

Don: Shaddap! Anyways, I heard Kali say that she wished that her and Machias had never come here, cuz bad stuff seems to happen whenever theyre around.

Mike: thats not true! If they werent here, i'd be bored out of my skull!

Don: it got me thinking, what if we take the girls out for a night on the town? Show them how much we appreciate them? then they wouldnt feel so bad...

Mikey: Yeah that sounds like an awesome plan! *snicker* But who exactly are you gonna ask to be your date?

Don: I'll just have to go alone unless... *he looked at Mike mischeivously.*

*mike held up his hands, shaking his head.*

Mike: Oh no you dont! I said thatthat was the LAST time i'd ever dress up in drag for anyone! I still cant believe you dragged me out in front of Splinter. I STILL have bad flashbacks from that!

I'm glad to see things have finally quieted down around here. I'm ashamed to say I was avoiding the area. I picked up an awful lot of angry vibes...and I just feel inadequate trying to help people sort their problems out.

Nunchucker entered the caves/lair. It had been a long flight from the UK, but it would be worth it to see the surprised looks on her friends' faces. She set her cases down, always one to do someting on the spur of the moment. She scanned the caves/lair for any signs of life.

"Hello? Any one home?" She called out into the emptiness.

Yeah, we seemed to have a excess of angry vibes the last few days. Long story. *hears Nunchucker's call* Hey, it's Nun! *jumps out of the hot tub and grabs her towel* Let's go say hi.

*Don walked into the dojo where Raph was practicing* Hey, I need to talk to you.

Raph: No, I gotta practice, remember, boss?

Don: I heard what Kali said about the girls causing us problems.

*Raph stopped and looked at Don* Dude, does everyone in this place eavesdrop?

Don: I was thinking that maybe we could do something nice for them. To show them how much we appreciate them.

Raph: What'd you have in mind?

"Kali!" Nun squealed. "Surprise!" "How are you? Where is everyone?" *Scans the caves* "I knew I should have phoned first!"

"Nah, it's okay, really. Here, let me help you with your bags." They walk into the cave. "The others are inside. Except for Splinter and Leo, they'll be gone for awhile."

Nun follows Kali to the others. "So where have Leo and Splinter gone?"

"Ah, Leo lost his temper." *rubs her neck* "And although I can't blame him, Splinter thought it would be best if they got away for awhile. To let things cool down. They went up to the farmhouse."

Sp:I cannot say that i am surprised. I had believed that i could trust you all, being the matured young adults i had thought all of you to be...but as we can see for ourselves, this shows not to be the case.

*Then, Splinter turned a stern eye towards them, and motioned them to come with him.*
