You know, that really confused me. Marvel TMNT?

Sounds like he assumed that he had the rights to use the TMNT, but maybe he found out he didn't, and scrapped the project?

Possible they did some preliminary work, like character sketches, bios etc.

Wouldn't hurt to drop a line.

Yeah maybe if you can get ahold of him, he'd be willing to forward you some info on what he was planning for the series before it was scrapped.

and Mike's gonna be the party animal. Basically, they're gonna act like modern-day teenagers. There won't be much surfer slang, because teens these days don't talk like that. Mike will have some surfer slang, as homage to past versions, but that's it.

*sigh* Will NO ONE (besides Laird) portray Mike like he is SUPPOSED to be?! I don't get it..... they all wear red masks, no belt initials, and Splinter was a rat.... but April is still a reporter, Raph a wiseass, and Mike a partier???

I know it didn't (and won't) happen.... but weird. Kind of like a cross between the first movie and Mirage....

You have to keep in mind that the majority of people were introduced to the TMNT by the cartoon or movie. Not the Mirage Comic. Which is sad, at least to me, but fact.

Becuase of this most people think of pizza, party and slang. More so if you mention Mike.

This includes many people in the comic, movie, toy, etc etc etc business.

And thus Mike to many people, more than I care to count, will always think of him as such.

:/

Try getting ahold of Marvel, they can probably forward a letter to him

Welp.. I wasn't attarcted to TMNT by cartoon. It was the first movie. Reading the news articles on that lead me to the comic books.

But, I liked the balance the movie portrayed. Mirage roots, but the cartoon influences. It's not all serious like the comics, but I'm not complaining if they go that route too.

I was introduced to the TMNT by Archie, then I bought the First VHS tapes. Soon after the show started to air on TV. I read an article about Mirage, and the Founders Eastman and Laird, and always wanted to read some of the original comics, but they never came to Finland. It was untill last summer when I got my credit card and could finally get them.

But that I think of it, as a kid probaby wouldn't have liked Mirage... The story in it could be boring to small kids...

The kids just want to see the TMNT battle the evil villian of the day/week/month.

I'm with you Fraggle. Sure I'll swear if I'm upset about something, but I try to keep my mouth clean. Hey, even Peter Laird doesn't like swearing.

Hey I'm, glad - I think Dreamwave has more respect for the TMNT anyway. Multicolored headbands, I can forgive. April as a reporter? Not a chance!

Also, I think Joe Quesada has that job now.
