I had a really hard time deciding how to do rocksteady, Like in the cartoon or like the original toy. The cartoons probably more iconic, and the rocksteady in the video games closer to the cartoon version which is another biggy for me since I LOVE the old konami TMNT games and they have a big influence on me. But when i picture rocksteady in my head i picture him like the toy. It's the most iconic to me, and i like the color scheme, and i like that he isn't chubby either, it fits more with the style i'm going for. Plus i Like the belt with the shells.

Another thing i had a hard time with deciding as well was if i wanted to do rihno skin texture or not. I eventually ended up with doing it, i was copying the texture from the ML spider-man boxset Rhino. I'm not big on the texture on the chest i think it was a bit much, but it was the first place i sculpted the texture and i kinda got better at it as i went along.

Rocksteadys sculpted over a MOTUC mer-man just lie bebop was. I did something similar to the turtle shells like i did with bebops shoulderpads. But this time instead of contecting with styrene strips i used the bendy wires that use to hold toys in packaging so it has a better range of movment. I'm kinda tempted to re do that on bebop.

The hands are kinda a little better than bebops, but still kinda crappy. I think they cameout a pinch big. I'm actually working on another set of hands that are interchangible to hold weapons. And i think I'm just gona go back and get rid of bebops hands, and make new ones akin to rocksteadys...

I've never been much of a contest entering type person.

I use aves apoxie sculpt

I've sculpted with lots of compounds over the years and this stuff is my favorite. when you mix it together it gives you like a 4 hour work time.

thanks for the feedback everyone.

Whoa, totally awesome!! You should try to land a gig in the toy business. Maybe then we could get some wicked Turtle figures.

Great work! I usualy don't post in topics like this since I have nothing else to say but "awesome", but I have been loving all your figures. Especialy the Rat King.

Thanks for that picture, I back tracked through that website, wow thats a cool place. Very useful for refrence pics, I really like how rocksteady has green pants, and brown boots. Damn now I'm conflicted between making it like the toy, or like the sprite color wise.

That place has allot of cool stuff i love classic super nintendo/genesis/Nes era games.

That's actually his alternate colors used in the "Gauntlet" stage. His normal colors are earlier in the game.
