There is no release date yet.
It will likely contain stories that will fill in the time cap between the end of Volume 2 and the start of Volume 4.

Is this liek a graphic novel or something. Someone give me some details. All Turtles stuff goes fast here so I need details for my friend at the comic store to hold me a copy.

The original Tales was bimonthy and alternated with TMNT, prolly these will be the same. So there will be a new Mirage TMNT book every month!
Tales Volume 1 was 7 books long and were not necessarily in any particular order. Some of the stories took parts of the TMNT continuity and elaborated on them. Rat King, Radical, Complete Carnage, and others were introduced in the book.
Tales Volume 2 will have stuff from the "skipped" years since Mirage Volume 2 and perhaps more recent stuff as well.

Sounds pretty cool. Now I'm definately gonna have to get into Mirage.

Almost certainly not, as they are already busy with a bimonthly schedule.

Peter has given many clues and hints if you read his comments in the comics, website, and letter pages.

Cha Ocho was never introduced until Vol. 4. Although Laird has said he will explain his beef with Leo in Tales Vol. 2.

Yeah, and Mirage will always stay that way. Right now I like both ways.

AHAH!!!! yes, both right, the true/best TMNT were published by Mirage (obviously) and have red headwear. However, Mirage has not ALWAYS followed this rule. Non-continuity break on issue #22

Okay, granted that I don't have that actual issue, just the Collected Book, but how come I never even noticed that he wears a purple bandana on the cover?!

It bothers me. As does Mark Bode's depiction of April as a reporter - in a Mirage book. Number 32, I believe

Siple answer: It is a guest artist issue. Mark Martin's issues are parody of the TMNT, they have no connection to the continuity.

Number 32, I believeIt doesn't bother me with these kind of stuff in issues that are not in continuity (or issues that can ignored without any trouble), but I don't like that Mike and Don basically turned into their cartoon counterparts in the second Leatherhead story...

Yeah, the whole art was cartoony too. But Berger has proved he can draw gritty TMNT too. I have color print in a portofolio that poves it.

heh heh - they don't bother me MUCH. I just meant the out-of-continuity stories are published in the Mirage line under the same title.
Berger is awesome!!! My fav mirage artist.
