So, I'm planning to start a webcomic and I am a bit nervous. I already have a few pages inked and pencilled. What I am still trying to decide on is a hosting site. What do you guys think? Comic fury, Tumblr or something else? Also, if you have any advice about the process of owning, drawing and writing comics, I would love to hear it.

I have seen a lot of webcomics on blogspot and wordpress but then again tumblr is also pretty nice... but I think if I were to choose between the three I would go with wordpress... I myself host my web comic on my own website (http://missourimobile.org) which is wordpress but then I also mirror the posts over to my blogspot (http://killerteddybears.blogspot.com) site as well... Heck if you want to pay about $40 bucks a year I can get you a dot com and you can host off my server using wordpress...

As far as process of owning, if you draw it, you own it... You could always copyright and trademark your comic but that can cost some money. I have always heard of the "poor man's copyright" where you just mail yourself your comic and don't open the letter and just set it in a safe or something... Not sure how well that would hold up in court of course...

Drawing... Well that is up to you, I use pencil, pen, wacom tablet, photoshop, basically anything and everything...

Writing, I usually write it in word or notepad and then work it from there... If you are looking for a nice comic font that isn't comic sans you should check out Witzworx... it's free... http://www.ronevry.com/witzworx.html

Hope this helps!
