i am a college student studying graphic design and i have done some neat things in my first year of college.
This one is unfinished as of today it needs something but i cant figure it out..

This one i wish was a little cleaner but i sketched it and inked it and live trace is not the best sometimes soo yeah..

this is a playing card i did completely in illustrator..im happy with it but my teacher nitpicked it..

I would have to agree with your teacher lol
Heres what I see that needs to be fixed:

• The white border should be even on ALL sides.
• The heart should also have the same spacing all around it.
• The top of the K should be aligned with the red.
• It seems too busy maybe you can find another solution.

but overall its a nice concept :D

Ah I did an assignment like this, in high school though. I like the style you're doing. The card isn't bad. My issue with it is the cut out around the K and heart looks awkward. The clean straight cuts seem out of place with all the rough design around it. I also agree a thicker boarder at the top and bottom would help.

You have a blog or a DA page with more of your stuff on it? Here's mine. I got some old wallpapers on there and some new graphics I just did for my band.
