View Full Version : Oh GREAT more Nate fan art: "Bigger Problem"
http://home.1asphost.com/NateRR/biggerproblemnow.jpg
The big round thing at the bottom is Don's head. Shredder in the sky is going to be semi transparent in the final version, I think that'll help the overall look. I realy do plan on finalizing most of these drawings (ecspecially this one, I think it will be part of my fan comic, if I ever make one)

Wow, that's a nice composition? Are you going to color this after too then?
My biggest critque, which more of a martial arts preference, is how Raph is holding his swords. I noticed this has beconme a sort of bad habit with many artists though. But if Raph's sparring an opponent who has swords, he really should be holding his sai in more of a defensive pose. The sai are often used to catch the weapons blade or staff, and then may also twist it out of their grip. Try drawing Raph's hands around the handles, and not between the prongs. He's at high risk of getting his fingers cut if he goes at Leo the way he is now. Splinter would dissaprove!
And then... I think maybe you should have Don's head a little higher so we can at least see the knot of his bandana there. That wayt he viewer can guess better that it is a turtle head we are looking at there (witjout your explination).
Good job, yo! :D

I like it! I love the composition and especially like your drawing style.
Looking forward to a colour version. :D

Actualy, I did that to try and get the point across that Raph was atacking Leo, that it was not deep into a battle, and Leo was just quick enough to draw and block. But, I do see what you mean.. I probably will make Don a bit more recognizable in the final version.
