Has anyone ever been to the tour? If yes or no just talk about it in this topic.

No... even back when they where touring through my city, I did not have the desire to see it. From what I saw in the advertising, it really kinda... SCARED me! :razz:

Then some TMNT fan friends showed the COOTS tape to me. After nearly dying of laughter form all the corny things, I'm kinda glad I didn't see this live! (at least I can fast forward the video!) *heh* Yeah, I'm so hard to please.

no.. sadly I was not a TMNT fan at the time the tour came to my town (Saturday, March 2nd, 1991) But a cool person (one of my dad's students) got me a flyer that her son had saved! I framed it and hung it on the wall! YAY! and I'm addicted to the TMNT tour. It is an AWESOME live show. I have seen Power Rangers Live, Blues Clues Live, and Sesame Street Live many times (can I help it if my little sisters are addicted to live shows? and yes I *AM* goign to see Rocket Power Live). I have also seen Barney Live on tape, and TMNT Concert by FAAAARRR has the best and most believeable storyline/coustumes/songs/transitions/EVERYTHING of ANY live show from a kids fad that I have EVER SEEN!

If im not mistaken, ninjaturtlesnetwork has a bit-by-bit synopsis of what happened in the tour. I never saw it, but it looked cool. I had actually made up some stories about the stresses and things the guys underwent while on tour...never actually wrote them tho...

Like HT and Mica, I too never did get a chance to see the COOTS tour. :sad: well I'm sad about it now. I was a fan back then, I think. But even tho I was younger, if I remember correctly, I thought the tour looked lame. Or maybe it was cuz I didn't know about it at the time, not sure. And I've seen the tape of it now, and yes it is kinda lame, but now I wished I had gone to see it back in 1990-1992 when it was touring. I mean back then I was the perfect age to see it, about 10 or so. I meant no offense to the COOTS tour tho when I said lame, but you gotta admit, it is really cheesy. What are those Rebok-like shoes?

Lame? no way! except maybe.. "MUSIC! I HATE MUSIC!" song *G* the shoes were because the normal feet would have been too big and the dancers couldn't dance :wink: I have a few big qualms with the tour, those DAMN alligators, the fact that I didn't get to see it, and the fact that they didn't put follow your heart on the audio cassette! (hey! It's on the french version!) The dancer people (pizza delivery ppl, military guys) annoyed me at first, but i realized they were needed so the chorography could work so the audience would have something to watch while the turtles took a little break (those coustumes had to be suffocatingly hot)

I've already went into my whole blah blah blah about WHY the TMNT COOTS tour is the best live fantasy kids floor show ever, so I won't rehash that...

Anyone noticed how Don likes to wave his arms around? Me and my sisters have dubbed that the 'Donnie Dance'! :wink: I think he just liked to see the strings on his armbands wave around...

Personally, I thought some of the pizza delivery guy's dance moves were better than the turtles. Maybe it's cuz they could move easier or something. I thought the gators were stupid, well except that one part that HT already mentioned about that one alligator getting his tail stuck in the floor for a second, that was funny! And Wendy was the one who pointed that blooper out to us, of course she's the one that showed us the tour. And she showed us the TMNT Barbara Walters thing too. HT and I were ROFL when we first say Donnie cry! Ok now that's going on another subject, sorry.

The Barbera Wa-wa thing, yes I do have it, thanks to Wendy. Plus on that same tape she dubed for me are a few NTM eps. Boy is that show goofy. I dubbed it for HT, I could prolly dube it for you too Mica, soon. I don't suppose in exchange you would have any TMNT eps you could dube for me? Just wondering, but I can dube for you regardless.

You know, it does sound like they have another guys sininging in there for Leo. So like the COOTS Leo has cam Clark as his talking voice, and someone else as the singing voice.

It's eerie, but I swear I hear voices other than Mike and Raph in Pizza Power and Sing About It. I just can't tell which ones are Don's or Leo's, or if Mike is just getting creative with his vocals again (he has such range!) :lol:

Sorry I've been away, but I was concentrating on finals, and I sorta...uh...kinda forgot about these forums since I don't get them in my email. But yeah Mica, HT is right. In both Sing About It and Pizza Power Don is also singing. In Sing About it, Don, Raph, and Mikey sing; in Pizza Power, the same three sing. I dunno about what HT said about Leo having a different singing voice, I didn't notice Leo singing at all! And in the COOTS actual video, the version of the song Coming Our of OUr Shells also has those three singing, while the tape version of that song has just Raph singing. Confused yet?

The line or verse that Don is singing in Pizza Power is:
"But then we all did changing, our size was all rearranging, and it lead us to discover, one kind of food that we like best. Tell him Raph!"
He kinda has a higher voice, if you listen to it and watch the video you'll see Don singing there.

Oh and Mica that would be great if you do have some cartoon eps to trade, I can record that what was it, the Barbera Wa-wah thing? We can AIM chat about it later.

BTW, does anyone have a better version of I Hate Music? Mikey's mp3 is crappy, no offence to him, b/c the music only comes one speaker (and yes it's just his Mp3 and not my computer cuz I checked another mp3 and the sound was fine there)

Well I just have Winmx and they didn't seem to have it when I looked on there. I think all of Mikey's Mp3's have that problem, of only hearing the sound out of one speaker. Like I said it's on my comp or my speakers, it's the mp3's. I mostly just want I Hate Music and Follow Your Heart, if anyone has them.

Oh and something else, anyone ever notice on I Hate Music how in it uses the same background music as Skipping Stones? Listen closely to it and you'll hear the distorted music and the "Ohh ohhhhh ohhhh yeah" that Splinter sings in that song. Heehee, cheaply made!

Oh well Banshee, if you do find your tapes that your brother is hiding, they don't contain the songs "I hate music" or "follow your heart" Unless you were referring to the video tape, than yeah it has all the songs including those two. But for whatever reason, the audio cassette that was a long time ago sold at Pizza Hut, doesn't have those two songs....?

And about the Splinter song in the background of the Shredder song. Yeah I think the production on that music was just cheaply made cuz otherwise they woulda created a totally original song, with a different background and everything. Plus since they did copy the music from the Splinter song, they shouldn't of made it so obvious.

Yep, they have a COOTS video tape. It's footage of the concert and stuff they did in NYC. It's interesting... to some degree. Has a couple more songs, and some of the songs song different of the cassette tape that was passed around.
