Okay, I've had this idea for a long time. Being a gamer, and knowing how well this would sell (it would also get kids AWAY from yugioh ;) ) I've started working on a fan game for it.

I have the basic rules and stuff done. I have the card types. I have the play mechanics. What I need now is help on making the cards (just the text. I've started work on the blanks/backgrounds already).

The types of cards are : Character, Weapon, Skill, and Event.

The main point of the game is to take out your opponets main character (you can have multiple characters in play at one time), solve 5 events, or deck your opponet (they run out of cards and cant draw at the begining of their turn).

Any help with Mirage characters would be good and what part they played in the story, any weapons and what they do IRL would help a lot, and martial arts styles or moves would REALLY help too (again, i need to know what they do).

If you want any more info PM me.

Thanks :) .

EDIT: Heres a sample of what the Character cards are going to look like: http://www.geocities.com/gwgtrunks/Leonardo.jpg (its Geocities, so copy and paste it in a new browser window).[/url]

I'm only saying this becuase you mentioned "how well they'd sell"

You can't sell them. Unless you have a license from Mirage, or a sub license from a company who already has a license to produce and sell TMNT CCG.

Reasons:

1) Your using artwork that isn't your own
2) That same artwork is already being sold and was commisioned by Mirage Studios
3) The characters are owned and registered trademarks. + Copyrighted
4) If you attempted to sell them all fan sites would be shut down in a heartbeat

Just some food for thought.

Now if your making them for a design prop to present to Mirage, that'd be ok :)

If your not intending to sell them, please disregard this post.

I wasn't going to sell them my self. i was going to present it to Mirage, because i think it would be kinda stupid for them to overlook the gameing market (there are already talks of TMNT being in the Independent set for Hero Clix, so its not all bad).

I got an email back from Dan at the site and he said Wiz Kids is talking with Playmates to try to get the rights to make the minatures for the set. hopefully they can get a deal.

there is also a professional ccg game comming out in 2004, or at least thats the last Dan heard about from 4Kids.

I think there should be a CCG for the original series to kinda resurrect the interest in it as well.

But you'll need a lot more than just the card types you mentioned. Here's what I have in mind:

-Character
-Item
-Interrupt
-Effect
-Vehicle
-Location/sub-location
-Weapon (different from item)

As far as skills/attributes go, those should already be part of each individual character. Just look at the Star Trek and Star Wars CCGs made by BradyGames (which I think should carry this out if it comes true).

I also think that it's way too early to make a CCG of the new toon now.

If they do make a CCG or Heroclix(Crossing fingers!) They have to wait for the first season to finish.

I think if they do make a CCG game it should be done by Wizards of the Coast.

Quite a few people have made custom TMNT figures for HeroClix (myself included). Pics of my versions can be seen on my site (the link in my signature). I've actually made custom stats for a full TMNT expansion (100 figures), but I've only made actual figures for the TMNT themselves. Other peoples' versions of the TMNT can be found in the forum threads on HCRealms.com

Still, woulden't it be cool to show up at the local comic store with a foot army and beat up Superman in a sactioned tournament?

I've seen the Rocksteady you made. Very nice. I don't know how to play Hero Clix, but i did buy a lot of Mage-Knight Dungeons, and i've heard HC is a cross between M-K and Dungeons.
