Since this show is said to be a blend of the two previous series, which elements from both would you like to see?

From the OT I want to see the turtles love of bizarre pizzas and Raph's sarcasm.

From 2k3 I would like to see the return of a 2k3-like Baxter Stockman and Mikey's high pitched, girly scream. I also want the turtles to have the more developed personalities that they had in 2k3.

OT:
- Bebop and Rocksteady, retooled slightly to be more badass
- Some fourth wall breaking jokes every now and then might be cool

2k3:
- The more developed relationships between all the characters
- The action scenes
- The dark look of NYC

.... Yeah, that's all I can think of for now.

From 1987 Show:

*Rocksteady and Bebop.
*The Krang.
*A few mutants that got a toy but no actual appearance. The Mighty Mutanimals don't count as part of this show, but I'll list them anyway as they're cool.
*Aska. Cuz dude; if April's gonna be jailbait, then we need someone else to be our bodacious babe! :tcool:
*If they can be expanded into more interesting characters, the Neutrinos.
*If The Krang is back, the Rock Soldiers.
*The Technodrome. Part of me resents the new show being CGI but seeing the 'drome in 3-D will redeem it.

From 2003 Show:

*Bishop, provided they can do something new and interesting with him without making him one-dimensional.
*Angel, unless the new April is too similar to her.
*Karai, so long as she isn't an insufferable fascist this time. Make her more like the comic version; loyalty to the foot but no particular loyalty to the Shredder.
*Renet, Lord Simultaneous, and Savanti Romero. I really, really like these characters; they facilitate some fun adventures across time, and their personalities are fun, too. I find Renet in particular adorable.
*Atlanteans. There's probably almost as many different portrayals of Atlantis as there are depictions of it, but I like the idea of an ancient city buried under New York, at least.

OLD TOON:
- Splinter being human but they got that covered so good!
- Shredder being human, again covered I hear.
- The technodrome, not as in have every other episode feature the bad guys getting gear for the technodrome but a story arc with the technodrome would be really cool.
- Updated versions of Bebop and Rocksteady. Krang would be cool, course we already got a whole race of him... Oh whatever, I want Krang to appear as well!

NEW TOON:
- Agent Bishop, great villain!
- The storytelling style, it was great how this show was not just stand-alone episodes. Almost every episode was part of a bigger arc.
- Fight scenes. 2K3 features some neat ones.

You and I think alike here! The only thing I would add is I wanted to see Agent Bishop, Slash, and The Punk Frogs. It also be great if Stan Saki would allow a portayal similar to what we got in the 2003 cartoon just not close to Leo and not the others.

Yeah; I forgot to mention the latter two. I definitely want story arcs and real fighting.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Bishop! *slaps forehead*. I feel dumb.

Here's a few more...

OT:
- The Technodrome would be cool for one story arc
- The Krang, or at least a Kraang that acts like him

2k3:
- Bishop
- Story arcs

Man I forgot him too! How could I forget someone so cool as Bishop!

OT:
I want the turtles to go out in public wearing trench coats and fedoras again.

2k3:
Agent Bishop!
These kinds of fights

For me with the OT side:

Add more mutants to the mix.Ones that didn't get more appearances in the OT.

Same type of humor but more amped up.They don't need crude humor.

2k3 side:

that type of fight scenes are a must.

I think it was in Splinter's thread, though I'm not sure where he got it.

From the OT- Tons of mutants, some pizza, a few wacky plotlines on occasion, funky new wave punk synth score (haha!).

From 2k3- A little fearlessness in its storytelling, "dark" animation (dark as in low-light), 2 parters, plenty of Casey.

All of that has a chance short of Casey, who won't appear until the second season. That bugs me quite a bit, but at least I know he'll be there eventually. He wasn't in the OT enough AT ALL.

I agree he did not show up enough, and when he did he was totally crazy and just smashing stuff on a berserker rage. Yeah he has anger issues but he ain't the HulK! :trazz:

I agree as well on the multi-part episodes, I'd be fine with some 2,3, and 4 parters. And agree with the dark tones of the animation, its new york at night, with smog and a lot of the action taking place in dark alleys and in the sewer it should be dark. Seeing the turtles attack out of the shadows are some of my favorite action scenes. And yes some goofiness and lots of pizza are essential!!!

The only thing i thought turtles forever missed was 2K3 Casey meeting OT Casey!

NT Casey: You must be some kind of wimpy clown like your green pals here!

OT Casey: Taste cold steel scuzzbucket ! *knocks NT Casey's lights out with a golf club*

I'd like to see Dregg from the old toon, but not as the main villain or as a replacement of Shredder.

I'd like to see just one Shredder, not a bunch of them like the 2k3 series had. I'd be okay if he was an utrom.

I'd probably take Raphael's sarcasm from the OT, Splinter being a human turned rat, and April's character model from the OT as well. I'd make Krang with a personality like Krell, who would be believable as interdimensional tyrant, everything else would be like 2k
3 series for me.

Both:

Non cg animation (too late)

OT:

April's design
Raph's personality
Funnier villans
Insane Casey Jones
Decent music in between scenes

2K3:

Not much

I would rather see more elements from the OT, personally. I love the 2K3 toon, but I'd like to see new, maybe slightly more serious takes on certain characters/plot points from the OT. I would love to see a new take on Dimension X in this show.

You hit the nail on the head! I love that show more than any intreptation to this day. I have not gone more than two months since I was two from watching at least one episode of that show. It gets such a short end of the deal with fans and creators alike. Its time to see a darker approach to the version that gave us turtle-mania! Aside form characters I want ot see again I wnat to see as much of the original cartoon's portrayal of Michelangelo and Raphael as possible. That is what got me so into the TMNT in the first place as child.

Yeah something set in the same tone as the first season and the tone of the Red Sky episodes would be perfect. Those episodes were more serious, with the Turtles using more of their Ninja skills, but still had some great humor in them. I really hope that it differs quite a bit from the IDW comic series, which I love, but that way with 2 different origins and stories we can get even more turtle tales and hopefully a comic adaption of the show, in lines with the Archie comic spinning out of the animated series. But maybe I'm alone in that, I love comics, so if we could have a toon adaption ongoing and IDWverse main series Ongoing I would be in Heaven :tgrin:

The only way maybe to appease a great majority might be the continuation of the original cartoon in comic form and Mirage comic and even then there would be hold outs. I agree about the tone, but I would say seasons 1,7, and 8 if of the original cartoon. That would be the tone I perfer and think fits best with the TMNT overall. An increase of action, a little humor and sarcasm with a rare pizza reference, and an increase in characterization and continuity. The latter could use some work in the '87 series but I admit that is one of the major pluses I give the '03 series. From Notes From The Underground Part 1 through Reflections it has to happen in the exact order.

For the turtles, I'd like to see a bold Leonardo of 2K3 where he really did some serious training. I'd prefer an OT-style Donatello as he kept the show interesting and serious yet funny with some of his gadgets that almost always broke, but grabs your attention when it comes to the plot. For Raph and Mike I'd like a mix of both; a Raph who is sarcastic yet also angry at times, and a Mike who enjoys pizza from time to time but also enjoys other fun activities and fights 2K3 style (no grappling hooks except as a joke, please!) And since the trenchcoats were cool in the OT, bring some form of those back so we could see the turtles out of the sewers and in public. Instead of a turtle blimp, use the turtlecopter since it was an original toy. I'd also like to see all other vintage Playmates vehicles not used in the OT in this new series, such as the Pizza Thrower and the turtle motorcycles.

Since April is only 16 I wouldn't mind damsel in distress captures from time to time in the early seasons, but as she grows older moves into an Action Girl role akin to the 2k3 series. Splinter seems to change the least with each universe except for his origin; I'd like to see more on his battle with Saki/Shredder discussed.

OT:
- Rocksteady and Bebop!
- At least and homage to Krang, like a Kraang version of him or something
- Some of the light humor, but don't over do it
- The Technodrome!

2k3:
- Really good action sequences
- A regularly appearing Casey (Starting with season 2, and even then he doesn't have to be in every episode just not nearly as little as he was in OT)
-Low light scenes and a dark NYC

A combination of both.

Leo can still be the most disciplined and reliable but have fun with his brothers.

Raph crack some jokes and be sarcastic like in OT but most importantly, have a short fuse like his Mirage/4Kids/Movie self.

Mikey be the same laid back and fun-loving Turtle but keep those in check when in combat.

Donny's contributions by providing vehicles be kept the same but no Wile E. Coyote logic.

One bit of the Old Toon that might be worth revisiting is the Punk Frogs, but I think they need some character development. I liked them for being amusing Florida stereotypes with those goofy shirts and swamp boy accents, but compared to the Turtles it feels like they came out of the blue. We saw why they got mutated, but how did they learn to talk, use their weapons, etc, isn't really explained, and it seems like it should take longer than they had.

I also don't see what's "punk" about them. I remember the first time I heard of them was in a trailer on a VHS tape, advertising the episode where they team up with the Turtles against Leatherhead; this trailer referred to them as "the feisty frogs" and I think that name is a lot better.
