I know we've done this before, so here goes now that 2011 is almost over. What movies are you most looking forward to in 2012? Here's a few of mine to start things off:
-The Dark Knight Rises (whose list is this not on?)
-The Avengers
-Men in Black III
-The Amazing Spiderman

Prometheus. Abso-frickin'-lutely. I refuse to read anything about it or see trailers. I just wanna see it fresh when I go to the theater. Ridley Scott returning to the Alien world. What's not to like? Hopefully he approaches it with the same creeping atmosphere and horror as the first film, because that's a bona fide masterpiece. I also would highly prefer to see all or mostly practical effects and no obvious CGI. (Apparently the Thing prequel was to be all practical, but studios wanted CGI, so they added it and I'm told it doesn't look as good anymore because of it.)

I love the first Alien, but for some reason Prometheus isn't doing it for me. I'm not sure why, but I'm just not very excited to see it.

A bunch of the above.

1. Prometheus
2. The Dark Knight Rises
3. The Avengers
In that order. With an exclamation mark after the first one.
-The Avengers
I've been waiting for this since the teaser at the end of Incredible Hulk and I'm glad the idea didn't lose steam and vanish on us. I'm looking forward to the ego clashes and how the team will mesh on their first outing.
-The Hobbit
Despite being a big Tolkien fan, "The Hobbit" is one of my favorite stories and after hearing Jackson's interest in making it a live action project, I was thrilled. I'm glad MacKellan is reprising the role of Gandalf and the rest of the cast looks great (though a couple of the dwarfs don't look... well... dwarf-ish).
-G.I. Joe: Retaliation
I'm iffy on the plot (having all but a handful of Joes dead at the beginning -- I grew to like some of 'em) but I do like Roadroc- er...block, and Bruce Willis as THE actual G.I. Joe. Also, Snake-Eyes looks much better (no skin tight face thing going on) and the action seems more intense.
-Wrath of the Titans
I find it interesting that they decided to make a sequel. I'll watch pretty much anything with Liam Neeson in it, but the action and story seem intriguing, too. And I'm glad Perseus has an actual Greek hairstyle this time. :P
-Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance
I'm one of the few who liked the first Ghost Rider movie, but I was surprised a sequel was being made. I'll check this out and see what direction Marvel chooses to take this franchise in.
-The Three Stooges
I grew up watching the originals and would love to see how these guys would react to modern times. Also, the cast was well done and the plot seems consistent (as consistent as a Stooges plot can be).
-The Expendables 2
The first one was pretty cool, seeing all the Planet Hollywood guys together in one film (and Steve Austin), and I want to see how this plays out.
-Men in Black 3
Oh, hell, why not? MIB is just summer movie fun, a good waste of time, and I know that at least I'll be entertained for 90-some-odd minutes.

There was a comic of the sequel to the original Clash of the Titans a couple years ago. It was also called Wrath of the Titans but since it was a sequel to the original the plot was somewhat different (IE He was married to Andromeda, it was set about 2 years after the film instead of 10, ect) So I wasn't at all surprised that they decided to make the movie version.

The rerelease of Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Never saw it in theaters as a kid and I would love to see it. Plus, there's going to be a new Tangled short attached to that.
Pixar's Brave. This one could be very interesting judging on the trailers I've seen of it, including the recent extended official trailer.
The Secret World of Arrietty. This I saw a preview of when I went to see Puss in Boots. I thought it was cute.

Pixar's Brave. I'm a Pixar fan and this is their first movie with a female protagonist, so I'm interested to see how it turns out.
Other than that, nothing else has struck my fancy-- not yet anyway.
