I'd like to see more from the Foot Ninja in this series, namely some characters, not just faceless foes for the Turtles.

Could be interesting. Mirage had Cha Ocho from Vol. 4/Tales, Croaker and the gang from "Leatherhead, Too" and Tales #34, and the kid from Tales #46 who was actually friends with April.
Those were all interesting story lines.

Yes, I would love to see something like that, too, where the Foot have background and not just regular foes. If they were to include the Purple Dragons into this as well, I'd also like to see them have more background. I just think it would be cool.

I still want robotic Foot Soldiers :trazz:. Maybe upgraded versions that can speak.
From what I can tell by the new figure tho, the Foot Soldiers will just be human like they were in the movies or the 2k3 series. Oh well.

I'd like to see a mix of human and robot Foot Ninjas. That way, it would be more unique than to just have one specific design.

The creators of the show have said earlier that there would be a mix of human, robot, and mutant foot members.

As long as those robotic foot soldiers explode!

@turtletitain97
Does that mean the foot soldiers or are guys like Leatherhead joining the Foot?

Well, i'm not so sure about Leatherhead. They have only confirmed that he will appear along with the Rat King, with nothing has been said if he will be a bad guy or a good guy. But hey, in TMNT, anything's possible, right?

I was strictly talking about robotic Foot Soldiers though. I'm all for there being a mixture of mutants, robots, and humans in the Foot, but when it comes to the Foot Soldiers specifically I would personally like them to be robotic so they can be hacked to bits and explode. The turtles might all have sharper weapons now, but since it's a kids show I doubt they'll get to use them much.

Actually, the creators added the blades to their weapons because they wanted them to slice the robotic Foot soldiers. And who knows, If don can build things for the turtles, maybe in the show he will hack them. But I'm just guessing.

My only fear is that the foot soldiers rnt super retarded like they were in the OT. I wouldnt mind it if they fought more like the Karia bots

Alpha one should've gotten a come-back. He was an awesome villain, he also felt creepier then almost all the other villains appearing in the OT.
I like Robot and Original Recipe Foot Ninjas.
As for RK and LH, I'm interested to see how each is handled in this toon...

I'm sure there will be plenty of robots in this series. The turtles all have bladed weapons and they won't ever have much of a purpose unless they're fighting things they can actually cut and stab. As for robo Foot Ninja I always thought they were kind of dumb canon fodder. The human ones were always a much bigger threat.

Odds aren't looking good for serious Foot in the Nickelodeon cartoon. In San Diego they literally said the Foot would be the main comic relief, to offset how serious and badass Shredder will be.

All the shows were aimed at the same age group, primarily kids 5-12 years old.

I doubt 4 year olds watched 2K3, not the first few seasons at least. It was rated Y-7 so it was at least reaching a bit higher then that. I'd say 2K3 was more for pre-teens at the end of the day. 4 and up is toddler stuff for real little kids. That being the case it'll be rated Y and that means the action will be really silly. I see it not being very dark either, meaning it'll take place during the day mostly.
Whether animated or live-action, the themes and elements in this program are specifically designed for a very young audience, including children from ages 0–6. These programs are not expected to frighten younger children.
I seriously hope the 4 and up thing is wrong.

It came on saturday mornings bro, 4 year olds watched it.
As far as the action goes? If it's anything like Kung Fu Panda, there will be silly action as well as cool fight scenes.

Kung Fu panda is a pretty good show. I catch it every once in a while if the actions like that I can live with it.

Yeah, I liked that episode, but he was just teleported away from the Earth to some unknown planet, without any comeback but you can always write a fanfic where he comes back to Earth.

I wish they took average humans, particularly those trained in martial arts, to be captured by Shredder/Krang and become part of the Foot Clan. Then it would create a new origin story where the turtles & co. must prevent all the good, innocent people from converting to the foot (similar to a light/dark side Star Wars idea). They could be a new "Foot Elite" with the movie-style costumes, with the comedic Foot Robots used more frequently for relief.

In the show, Shredder and the Kraang are kidnapping people and turning them into mutants and making them join the Foot, so yeah, they are doing something like that.

A while back read an interview with the creators that mention that shredder and the Kraang are kidnapping humans and turning them into mutants. It's the reason why April's Parents are said to be kidnapped. See this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_QgjsJxtZM&feature=related and pause at 2:05 and 3:12

He wasn't teleported to another planet mate, he was teleported to another dimension. Theoretically he could've teleported to the mirage universe, 4kids universe, etc...

I doubt they had that in mind, other TMNT universes.
And if they kidnap people in the 2012 show, how will they think they help them. Brain-wash like Shredder did to businessmen in "Corporate Raiders from Dimension X" in the 1987 show.
...they're not going to mutate April's parents, are they!?! Yikes.

Yes, they are. At the Mutation in Progress, they said that the turtles are only able to rescue April and not her parents.
