Wow...well, to be expected I suppose. I'm pretty confident they will do something pretty cool with it - let's hope! It would be awesome for them to have lots of info on past incarnations of the TMNT as well as plenty of media/links, etc, so new fans are able to get to know everything the TMNT are and have been (and not have the site be 100% devoted to being a current show marketing channel).

Its a shame the old site was trashed. I loved how it had summaries for all the comics and cartoon episodes, as well as pictures of all the toys.

Before I actually bought all the comics I used to read the summaries of them on the site just to see what happened in them. It was a great reference when I was younger.

I actually had been visiting the site since 1997. I remember back then they were hyping up the Next Mutation...lol.

I remember those days. When I was 12 or so, I spent like a whole Saturday going through each comic synopsis. I thought they were the sh*t, but had no way of getting them.

I started to buy the comics around 2001/2002 when Volume 4 was starting, so I decided to go backwards.

First I got all the Image series, then Volume 2, then I went back and tried to get all of Volume 1. Additionally I had some Archie issues from my childhood but there was a large chunk I never had.

Luckily back in the early 2000's almost every comic was available to buy on ninjaturtles.com. I actually bought the entire Image series from them, which I am glad I did as they were all sold out sometime after.

However, it was convenient to still have the old site around to pull up quick references of episode listings and descriptions.

But... it IS time for a new, revamped website. Let's hope Nick creates some nice for the long haul.

Thank goodness for sites and archive.org (hopefully the Foot Soldiers won't give that robots.txt prohibition) that we've provided since it's the best way to understand classic TMNT. I knew it was just a matter of time. The old site was pretty "old school" in style by the time it was taken down (no social media and in-site video). But the new site will show that it isn't your papa's turtles.

I think its the same case as Mirage. Nick owns any of the characters that were created for the original cartoon, but they don't own the actual episodes or the theme song.

Same reason the original theme song wasn't used in Turtles Forever, they simply don't own the rights to it.

Mikey sounds a lot like 4Kids Mikey, who I liked so I am still on a kind of wait and see thing. Leonardo and Raphael sound pretty standard Leo and Raph which pleases me greatly and Don sounds like Don with a "MEGA CRUSH ON APRIL" *laughs*

I like watching Don be socially awkward and if this is handled well it could actually be kind of funny in a "Big Bang Theory" humor type of way.

Just please show don't turn April into an all powerful mary-sue type character and I think this show will be good!

Ok I figured out whats bugging me about April. I think she's cuter than her figure made her seem, and definitely has a bit more detail to her face, but her ear looks like it's on the back of her head, and her forearms look like they're half-a-length too long. Since her head is more of an oval shape, with nothing to define where her jaw is, it just looks like her jaw reaches to her ear and connects to her ear, which is the back of her head.

Leo’s bio is okay. I mean, yeah, he’s still in training, but what exactly gets in his way when he wants to lead?:tconfuse: I read the back of the action figure cardboard from the Toy Ark site. It says that it’s his inexperience and “rowdy brothers.” I guess that does bring a good teenage aspect to the story. If another obstacle is self-doubt, I wouldn’t mind a minimal of it. Then there’s Mikey – I don’t care if he’s still the party dude. I think he’ll still be cool in this one!

Plus, the descriptions of Splinter and Shredder. Either Splinter is reincarnated, or it’s just like the old toon where he’s mutated with human contact. And Shredder, oh my god, SHREDDER! He has a daughter named Miwa. If this is Splinter’s daughter, I’d think that would be an interesting take. Now I won’t have to worry about Karai being his daughter. Finally! Yet, will Miwa be an infant or a teenager? I’m hoping a teenager, because then we’ll know if the turtles grew up together in fifteen years or whatever it will be now.

Wow. Thanks for the pics, guys. I really like them and feel that Splinter's design is much better than the toy. He has a good shade of brown with just a bit of white that doesn't make him look like a badger or a llama. So, kudos on that.

I, in no way what so ever, mean to sound rude here, but honestly, why does it matter? They know that there will be OT fans watching the show and are throwing them a bone. If anything we should be happy, because this not only shows that Nick knows we exist, but it also informs kids that there was another Ninja Turtles show before this one.:)

I can't say it really matters as long as we get all the eps on DVD. I doubt Nick would ever "digitially remaster" the old show anyway, so if they put out DVDs they'd likely be the same.

I agree. His arms still look a little too thin/spindly for the character design, imo. Overall though, much better looking than the toy. I'd say the opposite is true for Shredder. His toy is MUCH better looking than these images of him.

I don't see one ounce of Mirage in the new design. I also don't see much in the way of OT Shredder, unless you are counting his cape and some of his upper arms being exposed.

I though CBS still held the syndicated package and CBS and Nicekelodeon are both owned by Viacom so I don't see why the 1987 series cannot be aired on Nickeldeon. Seeing these new pictures is getting me more excited for this show, its looking a lot better then I was previously expecting. The only thing that bugs me so far is Dons design. Not really digging it.

The CG definitely looks much improved from the earliest screens.

I am sure the animation will look very good, which is something I was dreading at first. I hope the fight scenes are as good as the 4kids series though.

If anything the April design means the humans will probably all look similar in that "The Incredibles" stye also seen in the 4th movie.

Maybe Shredder will turn out to be some sort of tragic character or anti-hero. I think I would love a spin like that on his character.

Mikey's description bugs me, oh man why! WHy does he have to be shoe-horned into this mold? However the description "he insists that humans can accept them as equals if given a chance" can make for some great character driven stories for him. It seems Nick is are really going play up his niave and innocent side which could serve for him trusting humans--the wrong kind of humans, in his eagerness to prove his point. Maybe even learning a tough life lesson. It would be really neat if they did a story arc with Mikey. Like in the cartoon Gargoyals where Lexington shows himself to the Pack and they decieved and attacked him for sport. I would love to see a episode like that involving Mikey. If they play up this side of him, I will easily over-look his ADHD immature, pocultural addict side of his personality.

I read that three new mutants are apart of the new show Fishface,Dogpound, and Snakeweed. These are supposed to be apart of Playmates wave #2 but I think have only been seen in blurred shots of wave #1 from about three weeks ago . I only got their names yesterday. While Nick is making their own and are using older little knowns like Metalhead to me anyway it would have mae more since to fleshout Scale Tail instead of some Snakeweed character. There is Intergalactic Wrestler Houndog but we could use him and the Fishface. Who know we may learn to love them. Lets hope the next leak will give us more info on them or details to a possible next incarnation of Rat King and Leatherhead(villain please!).

These are supposed to be apart of Playmates wave #2 but I think have only been seen in blurred shots of wave #1 from about three weeks ago . I only got their names yesterday. While Nick is making their own and are using older little knowns like Metalhead to me anyway it would have mae more since to fleshout Scale Tail instead of some Snakeweed character. There is Intergalactic Wrestler Houndog but we could use him and the Fishface. Who know we may learn to love them. Lets hope the next leak will give us more info on them or details to a possible next incarnation of Rat King and Leatherhead(villain please!).

Hell no it wasn't me. The only place my info goes is on my site. But whoever sent them those only sent the re-sized versions Blogger makes, not the original versions (which is how I can tell exactly that they came from my site).

Nickelodeon is gonna have to call rank on a bunch of site if they really want these pics off the net. They're on Deviantart, BleedingCool, and some of those other pop-culture news sites.

I just read this on the BleedingCool (http://www.bleedingcool.com/2012/03/08/scoop-new-images-for-the-new-teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-tv-show/) story. Maybe that's what triggered the censors, since they used the "S-word."

Whenever I see a cool image online (most often a sexy image) I make a habit of saving it to my harddrive, because you never know when it will disappear from the net. That was the case with these images too, and I'm glad.

Looking at the micro sites for nick's other shows, i doubt the new TMNT microsite will have anything more than character bios, clips from the show, and a few flash games
