This was a commission for a big TMNT fan (and fellow 'Dromer) - I was asked to modify the original Traag figure to resemble the cartoon. It was a pretty simple custom - a lot of the "sculpting" on the body was done by carving into the figure with my dremel. I was able to get some interesting "rocky" effects this way. The head got a full resculpt (2 actually, 'cause the first one was crap), lowered the helmet, added the holster. The paintjob was trying replicate the shading shown on Traag on the cartoon - I'm pretty happy with how that turned out.

Next up for my TMNT repaint collection - well, there's a clue in the last picture...:P

Great Tragg DG! It has a very classic feel. I always hated the original toy release. It was so ugly.

Excellent Job on this. Sculpting and painting are smooth. I love room inspired customs! Makes me wish I had more time to do some myself!

Nice! I always wished the toy paints were a little bit closer to the cartoon models. The Traag toy never really looked "rocky" enough for me with his skin tone face, short sleeves and pants.

Very Nice. It looks just the like the character model from the cartoon. Awesome paint job too.:teek:

That gun looks familiar....

It's a slightly modified pistol from Marvel Legends Forge. Seemed close enough to the cartoon gun, plus it fit in the holster....

That is super dope, dude. The face especially, of course.

I always preferred Granitor. He just seems cooler to me than Traag. If only he'd gotten a figure :/

Thanks for all the kind words, folks!

I dunno... Maybe 15 hours, altogether. Headsculpt aside, it was a pretty simple custom due to the fact that's there's so few POA. Most of the time I usually spend on a custom is just disassembling and sanding down joints...

So I have to ask:

What method did you use to avoid painting over his chest emblem?

Oh, I have a very hi-tech method for masking off small, odd-shaped areas like the emblem - I use a small blob of blu-tack...
