What do you mean? This work is original...

I think he means artwork that isn't directly correlated or influenced by an existing series and/or product.
Like figure drawings, original characters, etc.,etc..
Very nice. I have seen that Mariokart pic so many times before.

What do you mean? This work is original...
What I mean by original is something invented/created by you. Not a Pokemon, or a Nick toon, but something fresh from your head, a monster with 8 legs and 12 arms, a banana taco, a light bulb sandwich... Hell I don't know something original!

Amazing pictures you have here!
I really like the Wind Waker one, even so I never played the Game itself.
What Programm do you use if I may ask?

I draw with my Bamboo Create tablet in the program Paint Tool SAI & I do a few little touch ups (blur effects, certain lighting) in Photoshop CS5.

Really stunning work on show here powder! I love your friends album cover and the realistic Pokemon. How long does it take you on average to complete a really detailed piece?
Powder
12-10-2012, 03:57 PM
Thanks! I usually don't exceed 2 hours on a piece, but when I do it's scattered across several days, so it's hard to say... No more than 4 hours on anything, probably.

Well you have amazing talent, takes me twice as long to get half that detail!

Always drawing but I try to only post what I'm particularly proud of. So here's one of Rixie, a poison type gym leader from Pokemon, with her team.

Nice! I love your Pokemon pieces to bits!
Your lines look very relaxed and natural. How long have you been drawing? Specifically using a tablet?

Thank you very much. I've been using a tablet for about a year and three quarters but have drawn off & on since I could hold a crayon.

Not much time for non-commission art these days but I managed to squeeze this in by working on it a little bit once a week. It's a grotesque depiction of Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time, digitally painted.

Are you still using the Wacom Bamboo? Have you looked into going to one of the Intuos ones? Or heard about this Yiynova company? They're doing monitor tablets, kind of like the Wacom Cintiq, but for a third of the price that Wacom is peddling theirs for.
Just curious. I just ordered one of the Yiynova ones.

Yeah I'm still on the same tablet. I haven't looked into anything else at all, honestly. I'm definitely intrigued by the Cintiq but I'm still learning as I go and feeling pretty comfortable with the Create for the time being. Maybe when I reach a greater level of skill I'll put some thought into stepping up my technology.
