He posted this in the comic section, but many probably didn't see it:

So... finally got a chance this week to read a bunch of the new animated show's scripts. Can't say a whole lot about the specifics (sworn to secrecy on penalty of a slow, torturous death) but will tell you all this much:

If this show (and its associated merchandise) doesn't create a whole new wave of TMNT Mania, especially amongst youngsters, I will honestly be shocked. Every script I've read has been enjoyable from start to finish -- action-packed, funny, and dramatic where it needs to be. It is true to the heart and soul of TMNT animated history, but it's definitely not the 80's toon, nor the 4Kids toon. Nah, it is most definitely its own thing and, man, it's really good!

The Turtles will reign supreme once again -- I'm calling it right now. And I couldn't be prouder to be a part of it, both as a creator AND a fan!

Talk soon...

Tom W.

Considering Tom has nothing to do with the Nick show whatsoever I am sure this is not propaganda but his honest thoughts on the scripts he read of the new show.

Its interesting to see what the main writer of the IDW comics thinks so far of the new toon.

Tom is a part of the greater Turtle system. So I wouldn't put it past him to fudge it. I mean, is he really gonna say, "Well guys, panic. The scripts were just awful."?

Not that I think he is, but come now Cubed.

It's kinda cool to think that we'll have been introduced to at least 3 new TMNT continuities by the end of 2013, between the main IDW series, Nick cartoon, and Michael Bay-ized feature film.

Tom has been honest about the comics even understanding some of the criticism of the new book. He says he expects the show to be a hit with youngsters and I am sure that's his honest view on things.

I just want to know if the Nick show is also going to be enjoyable to older fans, in the same manner the original cartoon and 4kids series were.

Glad he likes it. I think he respects this forum a lot and if he didn't like what he saw he just wouldnt say anything.

If Tom Waltz thinks its good I will believe him. He's not paid by Nick and the IDW series promotes nothing of the Nick show.
