i would love to have the original voice actors from the original TMNT movie reprise their rolls. that (imo) by far was the best michaelangelo EVER.

What bay turtles? Is Michael Bay suddenly directing the movie now or something or are you just being dumb?
Zac Efron for Leonardo. Always and forever.
Donald Faison as Michelangelo also.
I think by god you know what he means, no need to be a giant turd in every thread.
There is already like 5 of these threads by the way plasticplayhouse. :) Just look around a little and I am sure you can find one.

Stop calling it the Bay movie...

Hate to play the bad guy here, but please stop calling them the bay turtles. He's only producing!

I think all four should be voiced by Viacom financiers. It's only fitting.
Only dumb people still call it "Bay" turtles.

Donald Faison as Michelangelo also.
Oh my god, I'd love that.
Jephael
06-25-2012, 08:52 PM
I dunno, I'd rather he played Raphael or Donatello. I don't think he'd make a good Mikey.
Mr.Turtle
06-25-2012, 09:50 PM
i havent seen one trailer of the movie yet...
Jephael
06-25-2012, 09:52 PM
Uh, that's because it hasn't even been filmed yet. The script will probably be stuck in developmental hell for the next couple of years then creative limbo for a few months.

06-25-2012, 10:00 PM
By the time they release a trailer, they should have the Turtles cast...*sigh*
Mr.Turtle
06-25-2012, 10:03 PM
they can make a trailer with footage n background music 1st...
Jephael
06-25-2012, 10:07 PM
Are you on crack or something?! They need to film the movie first, then make a trailer! That's usually how it works!!! :trolleye:
Jester
06-25-2012, 10:09 PM
Some times they'll release teasers before much has been shot...but those tell you nothing about the story, so....yeah.
Mr.Turtle
06-25-2012, 10:11 PM
anyhow...i hope they use the same voice panel in the last movie.

I agree with you about the "Bay" turtles. He's not directing the film, so we shouldn't really call them the Bay turtles. They should be called the 2k14 film turtles.:tsmile:
Leonardo - I've just decided. Joseph Gordon-Levitt could be good as the leader.
Donatello - Matthew Gray Gubler from Criminal Minds as the brains would be perfect.
Michelangelo - Wow. Donald Faison? Now that's something. Have we thought of Neil Patrick Harris? He could work.
Raphael - That's a hard one. Maybe someone like a young Bruce Willis. I'm having a hard time with that one.

For the love of God, I know Bay is not directing the movie. I referenced his name for the simple fact he is involved with it. And just by his name being attached to this film, it has (from day one) had a negative stigma to it. I wrote the title with a bit of sarcasm, that’s why his name is in parenthesis. The point of the question is simple, "who do you want to have voice the new turtles". So if you're going to bother typing something, answer the question with an intelligent answer or move on to another thread.

Seriously. You all knew damn well what Plastic meant by "Bay Turtles", no matter how untrue it was. You'd rather waste your own time and the time of those reading with your nonsense band-wagon hate posts instead of actually contributing to the thread.
As for me, I would be thrilled to see the original movie 1 cast return for the film, although I know that isn't happening. I would, at the least, love to see Robbie Rist as Michelangelo again as he was *thee* Michelangelo in my opinion. Sad that it probably won't happen due to Rist's outrage at Bay's alien comment. Rist aside, I honestly think (and it's been suggested here before) that Justin Timberlake would make a great Michelangelo.
I still like Jim Parsons as Donatello - if he tuned the "robot" pronunciation down, he'd be a good sounding Donnie.
I could totally support Zac Efron as Leonardo.
Concerning Raphael, I really don't have anybody in mind. I'd prefer to stick to the Brooklyn-ilk, but with Astin's Raph taking center stage by the time the movie hits theaters maybe we won't see that again realized.

I'm lazy and don't feel like looking these names up so...
Michelangelo- movie 1.
Donatello- 2k3
Leonardo- 2k3
Raphael- movie 1.
Option 2 movie 1 voices for all 4

I could see Sam Worthington either do Raph or Leo's voice. For Donnie I would choose Jim Parsons. Not quite sure for Mikey; I would love to see Robbie Rist reprise but after his anger towards what happened; who knows if he is willing.

Random names that I don't really mean for the turtles are:
Leonardo DiCaprio/Tom Cruise-Leonardo
That McLovin kid from Superbad/Ashton Kutcher- Mikey
Andre' "3000" Benjamin- Donatello
Vin Diesel/Mark Whalberg - Raphael
Sage Ninja

For Raphael --
Is anyone here a Veronica Mars fan or familiar with the show? There's a guy on there, Francis Capra (who I'm not really familiar with beyond that show) who plays the obligatory tough guy character of Eli "Weevil" Navarro. He's got the voice, the swagger and the attitude.
Check him out:

I don't want any well-known actors doing the voices for the Turtles, as I think it would take me out of the "reality" of the film. I just feel that as soon as I recognized the actor I would immediately say, "That guy!" Not sure if that makes any sense to you guys or not.

Yep, makes perfect sense to me. It's what I've thought every time I've heard the new Leo talk. All I can think about is American Pie.

Here's the thing. I don't do the internet back and forth bull****. My opinion on whether or not I think of a certain movie or not when I hear an actor's voice don't make a world of difference to you. What I eat, don't make you s***! Maybe instead of me stop watching movies and tv, you should stop breathing. Even if it is "my personal problem" you have your own little problem of running your mouth off with smart *** comments like you're so great. I'm not going to keep arguing with you over dumb s***. Anything you say to me after this is not relevant to me at all.

Whoa whoa whoa.....are you implying that I'm not great? Because....man...that ain't right.
Just saying. If it wasn't announced that it was Jason Biggs nobody would know that it was him. But now we got lump heads complaining that American Pie is getting into their ninja turtles. C'mon now.

All four have done voice-acting before, they'd do it on the cheap, and they'll love the experience. As for the age thing, it's harder to determine by voice and is rarely affected. Maurice LaMarche and Peter Cullen are good examples.

The problem is that most voice actors, at least for animation, don't always transition well onto the big screen. Stylistically, voice acting tends to be more exaggerated for the sake of the medium. It would be akin to using all stage actors in a movie. The performance wouldn't benefit the material, because they don't mesh together. It's not that animation, radio, or the stage don't have subtlety in them, but it's a different kind of subtlety.
David Wain.... somewhere. I just love the guy's voice.

Jeff Anderson as Michelangelo? Eh? Yes?
Randall? He sounds more like Donatello to me with that detached and smarmy tone that can make an impact when unleashed. That one line in Clerks where he says, "Shut the f**k up, junkie!" -- just replace "junkie" with "Mikey."

That's just because he always sounds so chillaxed. If he amped up the energy, I think he'd make for a surprisingly good Mike. Well, I guess not surprising to me. I suppose I could hear him as Don, too.
And that Randal only has one L... Jus' sayin'.
