When I purchased my classics from "The Toy House" via Amazon....they shipped straight from Playmates.....So I believe they are the same thing, but on Amazon you can get free shipping so defiantly worth it if you don't have one yet. Also...both Playmates and the Amazon page limit you to 2 per person.....a perfect giveaway as well
