I was looking at some TMNT video reviews and someone mentioned this compnay named Papo. They make highly detailed animal figures, fantasy figures and mutant animal figures.

I found out they sell on amazon (http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=bl_sr_toys-and-games?_encoding=UTF8&field-brandtextbin=Papo&node=165793011) so go look at some of the stuff they've done.

There are some reviews on youtube. Here is one.

I'm curious if anyone owns any and what are your thoughts on them?

Thanks! I'm thinking about buying some because they seem to be priced very well for the amount of detail and paint they have.

I've got a Tyrannosaurus Rex figure from Papo, and the amount of detail and the overall quality is insane. It's very heavy, I couldn't be happier with it.

Never heard of their Mutants line before, but I'd probably end up getting some of those.

They look highly detailed but I'm getting the impression that they aren't posable?

As far as the mutants are concerned, you can remove the weapons but I have yet to see a video show them being articulated. I guess that would explain the bargain pricing. Even if they are frozen in place they still look really nice.

They're not articulated. I mean, my Tyrannosaurus opens his mouth, but that's about it. Still, the quality of the figures is very impressive.

I kinda want the Gorilla and the Rhino.

I know they sell the basic PAPO figures at places like AC Moore, do they sell the Mutants there too?

I used the lion for a custom once. I'm thinking about just straight-up getting the gorilla though.

Gorilla looks alright (reminds me of the Goriilla cyborg in Spawn), but the Crocodile seems like one of the best.

He could almost stand-in for Leatherhead :P

He'd be a great base for a Leatherhead custom, depending on scale.

I have a T-rex and both variants of the raptor. Theyre obviously modeled and colored after JP. Which is great cause no official toys came close to this quality.

Theyre excellent. Lack of articulation doesn't really bother me. They look great just as is.
